It was not a bad property when I moved in 5 years ago. Then on- site management is extremely ---- and runs the apartment building like a college dormitory. The manager spends a lot of time in the tenants personal lives not managing the building. There is a lot of micro managing of the tenants such as monitoring guest, watching them closely on cameras, and the manager puts signs up every week regarding issues such as no water, no heat, and no electricity. It is an extremely old building not worth the cost.

What a Classic place right off of lake shore Dr. Being just a two minute walk to the Lincoln Park Lake experience, and just two blocks from the Sheridan Red Line Station, makes this location great for both tranquility and public transportation. My Studio had an awesome brand new kitchen and a big walk in closet. But the most joyful and encouraging thing for me was to find the Property Manager, Sally Duskic to be an honest and caring person who really just wants the best for every one; especially the residents. I am sure you all have run into the other kind of Manager. So if your looking for a great apartment with great people in a great location call Sally at 773.477.3304. She's Best!

I moved here recently and I rented over the phone. I was a fan right away of TLC Management after seeing there website. When I talked to the manager Sally she was more than helpful and kind renting my apartment over the phone. An otherwise scary situation was a ease. Sally was very sweet and very helpful. If you like vintage, the lake, and a friendly neighborhood, this is for you. The apartment isn't brand new but they are renovated and have a warm feeling. The buses are close and there's a target and groceries stores as well. There is no parking since your so close to Wrigley, but the benefits out-way this. Overall it was a good choice.

I searched a bit for an apartment -- I wanted something by the lake -- but was sold on this place literally as soon as I met Sally, the manager. And after a year living there, all the promise I saw in her was realized. She's sweet and hyperattentive to detail, but moreso she's mood-enhancing. She's got big personality and infuses the place with her high-watt energy and big laughs. When my first studio apartment got damaged because the guy above forgot to turn off his tub faucet, Sally reimbursed me for a hotel stay and arranged for me to move to a newly rehabbed one-bedroom down the hall for barely more than I paid for the studio. When she saw I was always trekking far away to recycle, she arranged to get recycling bins. With her, any problem was quickly met by a solution. The place is old and historic but plenty modern and updated. They truly take care of the building inside and out. There are dogs everywhere -- it seems a requirement for living there -- but all the owners are responsible. Here's one minor complaint: the hallway carpet is floral patterned and tacky, cutting into some of the building's charm. And another more pressing complaint: it's not smoke-free. While most in the building are young professionals and don't smoke, one older fella on the second floor smoked in the hallway while coming and going every day. It was repulsive to wake up to that choking stench. All in all, it's the rare place with a perfect location, reasonable comfort and amenities and the best manager in North America.

I moved to Chicago with my dog 2 years ago and have lived in this building ever since. my standards are pretty high as I was used to a 3 bedroom house with modern amenties. I must say, living in 661 W Sheridan has been great. Its quiet, people are great, everything works, just a very coopertative company. Sally makes it all go and think she is the best, If I werent moving back to MI, I would sign for another year.

I moved here about 4 months ago, and have never enjoyed an apartment as much as this one. The new onsite staff is very helpful, and the building is full of nice residents. TLC has done a great job renovating and maintaining the building, and I think its reasonably priced for this area. I love it!

I moved here from Houston 2 years ago. My friend told me about this place. I couldn't have found a better place to live! The staff are fantastic! Sally, the new manager has gone out of her way to make me feel at home. The bus stops right outside the door, so I can catch it to work. I would recommend this to anyone.....and have! My friend now lives on the 2nd floor!

Paul

In my time in this dump: 1) the cieling in my shower peeled off and fell on my head 2) I was robbed, most likely by a resident of the building 3) the window in my kitchen completely fell out of the frame into the alley and 4) they never managed to get my lease worked out legaly. The building staff is grumpy and uncooperative and the management company does not attend to any resident issues. When they jacked my rent up 20%, I moved across the street and found a much bigger, nicer place *with* AC, parking and a responsive staff for $200 less. DO NOT RENT IN THIS BUILDING
