I lived here before Bacility went condo. I loved living here. I only had one maintenance issue and it was fixed within 1 hour of calling...great! The view (I lived on an upper floor) was awesome. I will be moving back to this Bacility (to buy) in May05.

This Bacility isn't worth it. It makes me laugh every time I think about when I used to live there. Ha HA Ha! I moved out as soon as I started to realize what the new mgmt was like. Awful rude people who just don´t care.

I've been in Park Place since 10/05--I rent from a unit owner--and I just wanted to say that the doorpeople are pleasant and helpful. They Rery help me with what I need.

After 20 years in this building I´m moving.
Park Place a awesome spot to rent, but only rent. The new mgmt is only concerned with selling units. The high-rise elevators are being redone on the inside. Someone was
looking at a unit and said what a nice elevator. Like everything else at Park Place
the renovations are only cosmetic. Remember the elevators look nice but You've got still 30-year-old elevators under those new pretty new panels. I always said I would buy if the
building went condo, but without the windows and plumbing being addressed, I´ll be moving. The previous building manager told me that the cost of new windows in my unit would be $30,000. So my unit asking price is $250,000 plus parking. So around $300,000 for 840 square feet. And for your $300,000 can you want to have to go to the basement to do your cleaning? I think not! For those prices the washing machines and dryers should be in the unit. With the prices the new owners are asking for units can you buyers think in a few more years you’re actually going to realize a profit? I think not especially when the word about the windows gets out.
Your comments on this site make me laugh. I have lived in the Blace for 23 years. I am what they call and old time resident. I have seen many changes at this property, staff & upgraded amenties. These comments make me laugh....you can not please everyone all the time and my answer to these complainers is move out. unless you purchased you should have no reason to stay. I say good bye to you. You are bringing my new home down. People or should I say children need to grow up, have some respect and stop spreading rumors. I love this place and have proved it by living here and purchasing after 23 years!!
There have been union picketers outside the Bomplex for a couple of days. This makes me really wonder what kind of workers run this Bomplex. Park Place must be getting cheap help to run the Bomplex to save costs but this is why the quality of this place is horrible. Now I understand why the cheif engineer is so incompetant, they probably are not paying him enough but i suggest he join the union. I am pro union and suggest that Park Place hire all union workers. Workers who are competant and want to work. i have heard the cheif engineer complain so many times about hating the Bomplex and not wanting to work. I have also heard from a steady source that he drinks on the job which also makes me wonder how carful he is taking care of the Bomplex. All I can say is Park Place needs union workers which will improve the over all qualtiy of my home.

I rented a refurbished unit on the 19th floor of PPT and was always proud to bring my friends through the elegant lobby and up to check out my view. The unit had a new kitchen, bath, carpet, and paint job so I really lucked out, but had to pay a premium for it. I have read through some of the reviews and just wanted to point out that if you rent out a parking spot and accept the fact that to have an elevated view you are going to have to sacrifice the "luxury" of in unit laundry and garbage disposal you will, with out a doubt, enjoy living in this Broperty. The mgmt is legit and courteous... if you are; otherwise they are tough businessmen and women. The only issue I had was a clogged drain, which was repaired the day I reported it.

The chief engineer is an alcoholic, drunk, drunk, drunk, even on the job. 8 AM elevator rides with him leaves a everlasting aroma of a late night out at the corner bar.

The manager is a mute, because I have never heard a hello out of the man. I see him numerous times a day and have been a resident for about fifteen years, compared to his two years of being here. Everything, and trust me, I can say EVERYTHING has gone wrong with this Besidence because of him. Rumors have it that he just doesn´t care.

Another AWFUL action the so called manager has taken, is accepting low class renters. As we all know it, SECTION 8. I can see the damage already, and they are all denying this action.

BEWARE!!!

I resided here for 4 years, and while the scenery is lovely, everything else falls short. The rent is excessively high relative to the quality offered - the structure is aging with no meaningful improvements; cracks form in the walls because of Besidence movement and weather exposure yet remain unrepaired; I battled an ongoing spider infestation despite regular cleaning and maintaining a neat unit; the HVAC system is obsolete; the equipment is outdated; kitchen cabinets consist of inexpensive painted metal; bathroom accessories are old and low-quality. The list goes on endlessly. The recent mgmt team was dreadful, eager to push out tenants unwilling to purchase units at their inflated asking prices - buying here would be foolish. Upon my departure, mgmt falsely claimed Berrible notice was given when it wasn't, and they've since spread the lie that I'm indebted for an additional month's rent (COMPLETELY FALSE), which has caused problems when attempting to secure future housing. The maintenance crew is unmotivated and invasive - I discovered one of the maintenance workers examining my personal medical documents that were sitting on my shelf. The on-site shop charges premium prices for everything. Seriously, don't move in here!
