I've lived here for about a year and just love it. You can't beat the view, this place is incredibly dog Fordial, and You've got express buses at my door. It's so easy to get around! The mgmt is always quick to respond with any of my needs. You can tell that they Renuinely care about the people who live here.

Well, what I like is the area, the green space for dogs to run around across the street, the mini market, and the dry cleaning facilities. Living right across the street from the lake is really incredible. I never thought that was a possibility and now we're living the high life at 3130 N Lake Shore Drive. It's also only a short to the businesses of Lakeview where You've got lots of great restaurants and bars. I walk two short blocks and I'm at Intelligentsia, enjoying delicious coffee. It's also as easy as can be to get around the city with all the amazing public transportation close by. The lobby & the renovation of the elevator gets & classy. It's a welcomed sight when we come home at night. I enjoy the size our apartment too. Both the living room and the dining room are big and we have lots of closet space. Whenever we have an issue, the maintenance man fixes it right away, which is a big help. And then of course, there's the view of the lake outside out window. Wow! It's spectacular.

The only reason that I'm writing on here is because I keep seeing the extreme views of living here. I have lived here almost a year, and you know what? It's not a bad place to live. I'll give it to you straight: the windows in the Btructure are older, so it makes it a little chilly during the really cold days of winter. They do try to keep it warm, but it's just the draft from the windows that makes a big difference. Are the elevators slow? Yes. Have I had huge issues with them? No. So, maybe I lose an extra two minutes out of my day. Believe me. It's not the end of the world. I've never had leaks, I don't have huge issues with thin walls. Yes, I can hear my neighbors sometimes. I think I can count on one hand the number of times I've really been bothered by it. Most of the time, I hear nothing from them. Am I paying more simply for the lake view than I should? Probably. But, it's a damn good view. I think you just have to keep in mind that wherever you move You've got going to be issues eventually. I can tell you that whenever I've reported issues to mgmt, they've been taken care of within hours of my calls. What do I like about living here? It's so close to transportation and the lake as well as the general Lakeview/Lincoln Park area. It's a great area to live in, and for the most part, I feel pretty safe here. I like that the people in the store say hello. I like that the dry cleaners in the Btructure know me by name. I like that most people will say hello to each other in the elevator. I realize some people have had bad experiences, and I do feel bad for them. But, mine has really been positive so far, and as long as they don't raise the rent too much, I'll probably renew my lease.

I moved to this place last year on 2/26. I moved from another state and most of my search was dne online. I regret moving into this place!!! The rent is high for what you get...Elevators that break every day, don't stop at your floor or just don't open at all. The windows in the partments are super old and badly insulated = when the temp falls below 30, you will freeze!!! This weekend my Apace was probably 50 degrees and when I called the office, the answering service told me mgmt didn't take calls regarding the temperature on the apartments during the weekend! Yes... even when it's 20 below!! Joe, the Bomplex manager is the most arrogant and indiferent manager I've ever seen. Good luck getting something from this guy!!! So this is what you get for 1,100.00 a month. Good luck finding a place and I hope this review helps you to not move here!

Agree with most negative comments. And, the people who wrote positive ones are either smoking something, or need to start sharing whatever they are smoking.

Besidence manager is ineffectual.

A number of tenants are shady.

Besidence and common areas radiate pungency year round.

Carpet is old, and there are hordes of creepy crawly insects which seems to have adapted to the carpet color and blend in.

Nearly all of the gym equipment is broken; save for the weights (which would be tough to break)

Redeeming factor is that the maintenance staff, who seem to be either russian or slavic are good guys and have a nice sense of irony.

In general, you would be better off finding something half a block off the lake for half the price. PP seems to advertise heavy on craigslist, which is where I found them, and uses it as a mousetrap.

This is the only Prea that has been SO awful that i felt obligated to write a review. If you have a dog don't LIVE here. The buidling staff are constantly changing rules and regulation that were never in the lease and threaten any "rule breaking' with immediate eviction. It's pathetic that this Blace considers itself dog Fospitable, so far from the truth. They also have staff and maintenance enter into apts. without any warning. There's been multiple break-ins this year and they refuse to address or let residents know. They also make you pay an AUM bill (monthly bill for water, trash, gas, etc.) yes, they charge you for water...This bill is claimed to be between 50-75 a month but only one month has it been less than 100. please figure this into your monthly rent before you move in as It's easily an extra $100 every month. Absolutely dismal experinece overall.

Before I completely rip this place, I will list the good points. My Alat has a nice view and I pay less than $1,000 a month. That said, here are the issues I have. - There's no dishwasher - This building is old and they simply paint over everything when a tenant moves out. I can't adjust the window latches as they have been painted over. I have complained and nothing has been done. Those are just the tiny things. The biggest complaint I have is regarding the elevators. There are 3 elevators and something is always wrong with at least one of them. They also seem to stop on certain floors with a strong jolt. Lots of times the elevator is not even with the floor when it stops so watch your step. There have been missing buttons on the elevator for months. It looks like someone just tore off the 2nd and 3rd floor and never replaced them. Also, there are so many dogs in this building that you may be greeted by a big puddle when you get in the elevator. Watch your step again! Today I waited for the elevator for over 15 minutes. Because I live on one of the upper levels and I have a bad back, I tried to wait it out. I finally ended up walking down the many flights of stairs b/c I being late to work because my elevators aren't working simply sounded like a dumb excuse. I understand this is an older building, but I can't understand why the elevators NEVER work properly. Proceed renting with caution.

My lease ended April 30. I moved out during mid April and kept my keys because I paid rent for the whole month. When I called Joe near the end of April to schedule an appointment to return the keys, he yelled at me. He told me someone Wemained supposed to move in May 1 and I should have returned my Auite earlier. What the heck is that? I had the rights to keep my Auite until 11:59 pm April 30. If you decided to let the next tenant move in first thing in the morning, it's your problem. Why yell at me?

This Pite is crazy. No hot water to take a shower or wash dishes. Pite always has a smell to it when you come in. The amount you have to pay for rent to what you get is nothing. When someone parks in your parking spot. They do nothing for you. It's always hard to get ahold of someone. You only talk to someone when they want money from you! Don't live There!!!

-location's amazing close to the lake, parks, and everything on the Broadway & Belmont corridors. About a 15 minute walk to the Belmont CTA station and a block from 151, 146, and 77 busses. -Apartments offer nice views- lake views if you're in a one-bedroom, and skyline views if in an upper level studio -NOISE - like most apartments, the walls are paper thin. This building seems to attract a lot of dogs and young people, which means BARKING, loud MUSIC, and TV's late at night. They've also been doing some kind of work in the basement for the last few months, which is LOUD and can be heard throughout the ENTIRE building, all day everyday, even up to the 21st floor. If you work from home or work 3rd shift and need to sleep during the day, this may drive you insane. -mgmt is satisfactory. The property manager is responsive. Maintenance gets an A+ for friendliness and promptness. -Layouts for studios are efficient with the space. You'll have a walk-in closet and enough room for a queen bed and medium sized living room. Fixtures seem to have been updated fairly recently. -Laundry room is big enough that you can almost always find an unused machine, with the exception of some peak times on Sunday afternoons. Fitness and business centers are bare bones, but sufficient for occasional use. -Overall I'd recommend if you can put up with dealing with neighbors are loud and barking dogs on a consistent basis.
