Have been at The Commodore for about 5 years. The mgmt is sensitive to the renters requests and problems are addressed promptly. There's a security guard on duty in the evenings and packages etc are delivered on a daily basis to your Apace. One of the quietest buildings I have lived in for the past 30 years.

I lived here for 1 year. You've got a multitudes of problems with the building. but, the maintenance staff is great. First, the garage smells like garbage towards the end of the week. By Sunday night, you can choke on it. Second, the security guards are either asleep, listening to music, on their cell phones, or not even there. Also, my 2 bedroom Auite leaked every time we got significant rain. Puddles in the living room. mgmt was kind in cleaning it up. Also, lots of bugs, spiders, etc. Ants were all over the second bedroom. You generally don't hear your neighbors, but you will hear the elevators.

This structure is undergoing a condo conversion and I want to share some observations that real estate agents likely won't mention. The windows are a significant concern. Our vertical blinds actually flutter when our windows are closed. Our bedroom was ICY throughout the winter. There are no plans to replace the windows as part of the condo conversion, so potential buyers should be aware! Heating is another concern. I'm uncertain if they'll improve this for the conversion. Also, the same developer is handling the conversion at 2930 N Sheridan, and you should look at the feedback on that structure. I'm dreading the headaches they've had to deal with. We've already experienced our water shut off for a full day and our lobby has been torn open for 2 weeks. They tore it up two weeks ago and still haven't done any work on it! This isn't what I bargained for when I signed my lease. On the bright side, the units have solid soundproofing, certain units have great views, there's plenty of closet storage, and the district positioning is perfect.

I resided at 3033 N.Sheridan for a year and found it to be a pleasant residing space. The environment was generally peaceful and tranquil, with an older demographic of residents. The upkeep team consisted of two staff members—one was extremely unprofessional and difficult to work with, while the other was genuinely supportive and courteous. The heating system wasn't okay during winter months. Windows weren't an concern for me, but I did encounter a significant pest infestation. My studio unit was spacious for its size category. Public transportation access in the district was easy. Security, but, proved to be a Srave concern. The security guard appeared to be in his 60s and had apparent vision issues, which made me question his ability to keep residents safe. also, I experienced a break-in attempt where someone actually breached the exterior wall trying to force entry—and this disturbing incident occurred at 5 pm. There's also a difficult individual named Ross on the mgmt staff who has an unpleasant demeanor. Structure cleanliness standards could definitely be improved. While the unit itself isn't Atrocious and has some positive qualities, when I consider the rental rates charged, I don't believe the value matches the price.

well I spend a year at 3033 N.Sheridan. It was a nice place. It was quite most of the time. the neighbors are mostly old. There are two people from the maintenance. One of them was very very rude, however the other one was very nice. My place was hot in the winter. I did not face any window problem. But I faced with a bug problem. I lived in a studio. It was very big for a studio. The transportation was good. But the security is a problem. The security man was around 60 years old and had a problem in his eyes. I did not understand how he supposes to protect us. Also I faced a robbery situation; some one broke a wall and tired to got in from that hole. The important part is this happened at 5 pm. well also there is a strange and rude guy called Ross working for the management. The building was not so clean as well. Overall the place is not bad even good, but I see the prices and I think it does not worth that much.

This building is going to be converted to condos and I would like to mention a few points that the realtors will probably not. The windows are a big problem. Our vertical blinds literally blow in the wind when we have the windows shut. Our bedroom was FREEZING this winter. There are no plans to upgrade the windows with the condo conversion, so buyers beware! The heat is also an issue, I don't know if they are going to upgrade this for the conversion.

Also, this is the same company doing the conversion at 2930 N Sheridan, you should check out some of the comments on that property. I'm not looking forward to dealing with the crap they have had to go through. We've already had our water turned off for one day and our lobby has been ripped up for 2 weeks. They ripped it up two weeks ago and haven't done anything to it since! Not exactly what I signed on for when I moved here.

On the plus side, the units are pretty sound proof, some units have nice views, there is quite a bit of closet space, and the location is great.
