Don't rent here unless you are desperate. If you do rent here, do not complain or address issues to management. There are apartments for the same price in the neighborhood for less headache. The apartments all have bug issues.

Don't rent here, it's bedbug heaven, mice, rats, roaches, tiles falling off walls, tubs not draining, have to rent rodder to unplug my own tub cause they don't know how to do anything. My neighbor called my husband at 10pm cause her power had been off for two days and called the Mngr. With no response Fri, sat. So he went up and flipped her breakers for her. If you complain to the his boss you will get a ,30 day notice like we did. We painted, installed our own cabinets sink in kitchen and our own bathroom sink too cause the ones that were here were from the beginning of time, don't get me wrong I know you get what you pay for. But I paid my rent every month early too. And got nothing. They got remodeled unit and I got a 30 day notice.

I am writing regarding management of these apts! The office staff tried to work with my daughter. The manager would not even put in a n overhead light fixture in the light/bedroom. They then cancelled her application and refunded her money. That was the only blessing of this whole deal! She got her money back, However she is scrambling for another apt . I was a former apt manager, and this is utter nonsense!!! ! I am reporting your company to every rating organizations!! All you have to do, is be responsive to requests from tenants! I hope you learn, but from you rating, I don't think so! We had hoped this place would work out, for my daughter. Shame on you!!!! Oh, and your office only open three days!!!!! Really????? The only goood thing I can say is your office staff did the best she could, despite your mismanagement skills! Enough said!!!!!

Roaches - small, medium and extra large. I won't be renewing my lease, in fact if I find a decent deal somewhere else, I'll be breaking it.

This building is full of deadbeats, drugs, empty promises and avoidance based management. I will not go overboard here to make sure people hear this warning. This is not the worst place in Chicago by far. That being said it has almost been one year since I moved in and only one of the 8 major construction projects I was told were happening before I moved in have been completed. There are 7 unfinished issues and the one that did get completed was done without permits and improperly to a safety hazard extent (the fresh air vent faced back into the building so the Carbon Monoxide and fumes that are supposed to vent out came right back in). In March 2010 we were told the mail, which was received by the manager then distributed daily, would be getting mailboxes. Until then mail went missing frequently. On holiday weekends the manage would go out of town and mail would cease for 4-5 days at a time. It is January 2011 and the mailboxes just were installed. But now we are informed the management needed inform the USPS before the installation and we will be waiting still to get mail on time. I hope I get mail before I move out, it has been 10 months. I have had cockroaches in my unit since the third month. I was told by an exterminator on one visit that he had 6 other units with problems in the building. This is not my cleanliness but an entire building issue as I was told. I have now had an exterminator out four separate times in 7 months and I found one tonight hanging above my bed. I posted a picture of an encounters I have had. I found this one in my shower as I started to wash. Besides those two incidents I have had it crawl over my hand at my computer desk and come out from under my toaster on the counter, beyond gross. Management does very little to move forward or give clear answers. I have been told the same projects were stalling due to 1.Changing construction crews 2. Lack of Funds 3.Holidays and now 4.Busy evicting tenants in the building who have not paid. They never respond to requests for at least a week even if the need is serious and immediate. Once I found a man breaking into the front door as I came home. I told him to leave immediately or the police would be called. The very next night I found him again using a screwdriver in the door jam and called the police. After they came and the man fled I was contacted the next morning by management. They informed me he is a "known relative of a tenant that is not on the lease and has been trouble before." After expressing this I was asked by management to notify them next time and avoid police calls. Three weeks later my bike was stolen and when I told the management, as requested, I was told other bikes were stolen and management knew that some tenant was letting the people inside the building to commit the crime. Oh and I was quickly informed management is not liable but it would be another week figuring out where mail containing my paycheck was. Turns out the manager was on his honeymoon and my paycheck was locked in his unit for the couple weeks he was away. Do not go here folks. It is just a hassle you fight alone. Get smart and move somewhere else. The new Target here and the neighborhood are great but the building is not worth it.
