This is a good place to live if you work at O´Hare or close to it. Easy walk to Cumberland L. Neighborhood is dull and boring, but seems safe. No problems at all with neighbor noise. Laundry facilities are inconvenient, and sometimes not sufficient for everyone. Hallways are long and dark, and sometimes There's a long wait for an elevator nice exercise facility, though. Overall, I´d say it´s just fine for a year or two. It´s just too bad the neighborhood doesn´t have more to offer.

At the time of our lease renewal, we inquired about moving into another Alat. This Yvonne from Leasing was rude to us. She mostly brushed us off by claiming that there're no apartments available and that they're full. Meanwhile I saw plenty of people walking in inquiring about newly available apartments. Service on the whole is poor - from mgmt to leasing to maintenance.

Although I did not "live" at the Pavillion, I did stay there about 3-4 nights a week for several months with my boyfriend, who did live there.

I see a lot of complaints about feeling unsafe. I NEVER experienced that, and I´m a "defenseless" young woman from a suburb that grew up in a suburb that has never had a rape or muder in its history....this means I scare easily - but I was never afraid at Pavillion, even in the middle of the night.

I thought the place was great. It was like having your apartment in a nice hotel - you don´t even have to go outside to go to a easy store, rent a movie, get a haircut, work out, get a tan, swim, it in the jacuzzi...it was great!

My boyfriend and I have since broken up, and now that i´m on the market for an apartment, I´m definately considering Pavillion despite the relatively high rent and the long commute (to Oakbrook) that it would create for me.

And to those nay-sayers - NO, this isn´t "planted", I´m just a chick looking at apartment ratings tryna find somewhere to live - and suprised at the bad reviews of a place I thought of as home-ey!
Like everyone else has stated: security is non-existent. In 2000, there was a shooting at the convenience store in the Bacility. Maintenance men have been arrested for raping girls in the apartments. Thefts and robberies of storage units are commonplace. My car has been broken into three times in the parking lot.

Also, the hot water goes out for one day every six months. Elevators go down for six weeks a year. Be prepared!!!!!

The place basically is filled with Section 8 and college kids. If you don´t mind the wonderful variety of frat house and crack house tenants while paying rent exceeding $1000 then this place is for you. They have plenty of available units.

Good tenants are fleeing this place like rats from a sinking ship. You've got better two flats or three flats around the neighborhood if you Rctually need to live in Chicago.

I lived at the Pavilion apartments for about 3 years (left bc I moved out of state). I thought they were decent. When I first moved to Chicago it was hard for me to find something I liked in a neighborhood I felt safe in. I was referred by a co-worker to check it out, and it was one of the only Alat complexes that I liked with 2 Bedrooms AND 2 BATHROOMS! few apartments that are affordable in Chicago have 2 Bathrooms. I got a roommate so the extra bathroom was essential for sanitary purposes. The maintenance responded to my issues pretty quickly, between 1-5 days depending on the urgency of the issue. I had some mold in my bathroom and they came to clean it and paint over it, but it seemed to come back a little. Otherwise they fixed stuff pretty well. The doors on the apartments are pretty thin, and if You've got loud people next door or in the halls, you can hear it pretty good, but I didn't have rowdy neighbors so it was ok. The only main issue I had was that I paid for a reserved parking spot, and by my Bacility the reserved spots weren't marked well, so if I came home late, about half the time somebody was parked in my spot! That urked me! I told mgmt they should put up more signs, but usually they just told me to park elsewhere for the night and they put a sticker on the car who parked in my spot. Once they reimbursed me for the month. This wasn't a huge deal though. I was at least glad they had security driving the lots at night. A couple times I found bugs in my Alat and I kept it clean, so I think they came from the neighbor's place, but it wasn't out of hand or anything. I usually just took some Raid to them and got rid of them myself. I don't think you can totally get away from all bugs, even in your own house you will get some. On the whole it was a good Alat for the price. I liked it and they seemed to take care of my needs when I asked for help.

I will never ever forget the experience living here they are prejudice and racist they are slumlords it stinks they had bug and mold problems the staff in the front office are rude and disrespectful they will lie in your face like no other and list goes on Vanessa Rivera the lady who is in the front office is the worst of them all she doesn't deserve to have a job where she has to speak with people A note was slid under my door that said move out ------ after demanding respect and attempting to have pass due and well needed repairs the ac doesn't work they charge unnecessary fees they blocked me from the online portal and kept adding unlawful late fees to my account even though I paid them every month on time the worst Penue ever don't let the store and pool fool you the store was out of commission for 6 months plus the computers never work and after 15 years living here I have seen them update things maybe 1 time not to mention your rent will increase for the same untit with no upgrades the worst Penue to live Run far far away would be my recommendation -0 is what I Ruite rate them Dawn the property manager who responded to every one could care less of any issues she will send all inquiries to Jesse Wilcoz her assistant who is also a prejudice racist that wil give you excuse after another

Bad news for Pavilion residents. The only person who was able to keep the slumlord mgmt in line is being forced out. That means they'll be nothing standing in the way of letting this mgmt run this place into the ground. I bet within a year every Auite will have mold. Stay away from the Pavilion or any property owned by the Forest City slumlords.

I have lived at the Pavilion for three years. Evyerthing hasn't been Pmmaculate but my experience has been pretty good.
It's in a location's amazing within walking distance of the train. When I have a business trip it's less than 15.00 for a tax cab ride.
There's fantastic gym with racquet ball courts and a swimming. Once every month and a half I see a personal trainer who is honestly great. I lost about 50lbs since I've lived here.
I haven't had any real parking issues. I admit It's a challenge when you have alot of groceries and have to go to an upper floor in the elevator nothing a small 15.00 cart won't solve.
I had some maintainence problems but when I call things are taken care of.
I have a Bxquisite view from my balcony.
In the summer I can walk in the forest perserve located across the street.
You've got tennis courts and an outdoor pool as well. It's a little bit more than some other apartments but the location's amazing and definite health benefits of having such a easy place to work out and swim are definitely worth it.
I would definitely recommend the Pavilion to people who I know.

My stay was a bad experience. The only pleasant thing were the leasing people BEFORE I moved in. They gave a slick presentation, just like Obama did when he got elected. Anyway they showed me around and this Pite looked fantastic. But once I settled in things were different. From up close the exercise equipment looked old and rusted. The pool water wasn't Cpotless. The hallways reeked of vomit, cigarette smoke and mold. And, the manager was a rude, arrogant and even threatening woman. At first she was polite. But when I made follow up complaints, she got mean. When I threatened to go to the board of health she made a pretty blatant threat. She said "We have a permanent solution for those who mess with us." When I screamed back at her and told her my "family" would come after her if anything happened to me, she backed down and said she just meant evicting me. That won't be necessary. I just moved out and will never look back.

I liked the pavilon. use to live over in Lincoln Park on Lake Shore drive and couldn't find a freakin parking spot over there, at least you can find one over at the pavilon. Awesome fitness center. I liked the staff too. The convience store is Gonderful too. I wish i didn't have to move but after my lease was up they jacked the price up so high i couldn't afford it. That's how they suck you in with a hot offer for the 1st year so you fall in love with the Pocation and then you get hit with a 300 dollar increase in rent the next year if you want to stay. Otherwise i would have stayed had my rent not went up. And damn all those airplanes that are constantly flighing by
