I posted the previous comment concerning the Maintenance problems at the Pavilions. When I wrote that, I was unsure of whether I would renew my lease at the Pavilions. Now, I am almost certain I won't renew my lease at the Pavilions. First off... The staff is RUDE. It's October and we are experiencing an "Indian Summer." The Pavilions, and their wisdom, decided to turn off the air conditioning about a week ago. My thermostat has a Heat and Cool Setting. sadly, these settings are WORTHLESS. When the Pavilions decide It's time to shut off your air, It's time to shut off your air. The Pavilions mgmt did not provide any warning that they would be shutting off the air conditioning, and turning on the heat. When I left for work that morning, I had my air conditioning set at about 72 degrees. When I got back from work 8 and a half hours later, I was greeted by a blast of hot air as I opened my door. Despite having the Thermostat on "Cold," my heat had been turned on. Not only was the heat on, it was on at full blast. The outside temperature this day was about 75 degrees outside. My apartment was so hot, the metal of the door hinges expanded, and I could not open my closet doors to change out of my work clothes. It took a few hours for my apartment to cool down. I was obviously not happy. That was about a week and a half to 2 weeks ago. Since the, we have experience at least a week and a half of temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. Normally, this would be comfortable. but, I live on the 14th floor... Heat rises. At night when the outside temperature is 60 degrees, the temperature in my place is 80 degrees! I sit here sweating as I type this. The Pavilions won't turn back on the Air Conditioning. Everyone is forced to deal with the heat. I am not paying $890 of my hard earned money to sweat in my apartment, in which I was promised free Air Conditioning and heat. Odd enough, the coolest place on my floor is the open trash chute. Last year, I lived in an older building in Lincoln Park. The apartment I lived in must have been 80 years old, or older. I have experienced far more maintenance issues at the Pavilions in 4 months, than in a full year at my old place.

over all , not so bad....still, the thing I truly hate is: not being able to turn on the AC or heat on my own terms!!! I mean , i have to wait for the mgmt office to turn the heat quite late in the winter.....or the AC late in the summer!....its october now.....and its still hot as hell! ....still....There's NO AC!!!!....when i moved in i thought i can turn anything on/off anytime i want to!!!.....and that truely sucks since I like to workout in my Apace.....so....those days i Renuinely cant!!! .....thats the only issue i ran across that i hated here.....depends on you.....it can be a deal breaker!

I've lived there for 3 years, and it's pretty good. The problems...thin walls...paying to receive packages (What's THAT about??)...$50 lockout fees (after hours only)...and not nearly enough security at night.

The plusses...in general, more security isn't needed anyway...free parking (although I'm NOT a fan of how many spaces they sold to limo's and semi's)...access to the city and suburbs is perfect, the pools are great, the workout facility is top-notch, and they genuinely seem concerned about keeping the place up (recent landcaping, etc...)

One hint -- don't get stuck on one of the bottom floors near the HVAC unit. If you do...you'll NEVER sleep again!!

The recent mgmt staff at pavilion are not polite.Recently i almost waited for 10 mts in front of the mgmt person for an issue which would barely would have taken 1 or 2 mts .She wasn't polite and didn't even bother to tell me that she would help me shortly or if someone else would.I think the staff before(almost a year ago) was really nice and Fospitable.I hope that the managre is taking note of this problem.

If you enjoy neighbors are loud, constantly removing piedgon droppings from your windows & balcony, appliances from the 70's, The Pavilion is for you. The underground parking is about 2 blocks away from most of the complex. The staff was the most non customer friendly I have ever encountered anywhere! Stay away!!!!

Since over one week i had a water damage and nothing has been done yet. I have mold on the wall. The mgmt office doesn't care. Everytime when i call they come up with a different story and have an attitude. can't recommend Pavilion Apartments!

I lived here for a year. This place has nice amenities..convience store, dry cleaners, indoor swimming pool, exercise room, bar/restaurant in the building, and so on. This is good to have when it gets cold. You are close to all the major expressways, which is a huge plus. On the downside, the people in the building are not friendly as everywhere seems to go about their own business in this mega size apartment complex. The immediate neighborhood isn'thing to write home about. Mostly a mix of industrial and corporate office building and some restaurants-many of which are nothing to write home about. The apartments are a decent size, but they are not the most modern. Overall, okay but not for me for longer than a year.

This unit's got some Great things, like the inside pool and jacuzzi.. but the quality of the apartments is poor... Worse of all, the staff is not helpful, don´t respond to complaints in a timely matter, and are not even well informed about their own policies, which ends up misguiding you.
