Just moved out a few days ago. There will be things I'll miss about this place. This was a location's amazing, I had a great view and a lot of cool pictures of the loop from my window with the help of my 30x optical zoom on my camera. The outdoor pool was great and the fitness was easy. Aside from that the mgmt here cut too many corner and turned what should have been luxury living into uncomfortable situations too often. The air conditioning was bad and my Apace was like a furnace when they switched to heat in September. But when I went to the indoor pool in January the problem was just the opposite. It was so cold down there, the windows were full of ice. And the hallways were cold too. Worst of all I'll never forget the way the manager of this building talked to my 17 year old son, when he visited me here. (I'm divorced) As an errand he went to the convenience store to pick me up a newspaper. He was having a little trouble finding it, so asked the manager of the building who was in the hallway for directions. She really lit into him and told him if he didn't leave immediately, she'd have him arrested for trespassing. There was no excuse for that. She didn't even give him a chance to explain he was visiting me. All in all, this could be a awesome spot to live. But under the current mgmt I have to give it a thumbs down.

The air conditioning is on only in June, July, and August. It doesn't matter if its warm or hot like it's been in May and Sept. It's like a sauna the rest of the months.

The pool is Nleasant, the people that live You've got Nleasant.
But it "feels like" a beat up, rusty, 1975 Oldsmobile with a new paint job and spinner wheels.

I have mold in my Aad but I don't know exactly where. It was probably here the whole time, but I didn't notice any smell the about the first six months I was here. I'm sure the mgmt did something just to temporarily cover it up. Their cover is blown now, but I can't see where it's coming from. Probably in the kitchen behind the fridge or stove. I've called a few times to complain, but they said it was my problem. They said it's not a ciy code violation unless I also have bad leaks or a broken pipe. I'm not the only one here with this problem. I read the other reviews right before posting this and that musty mold smell is present in many places throughout this complex. This stuff can be deadly but the mgmt doesn't care. I wouldn't recommend this dump to anybody.

Been leaving here for 3 years and I love it. Problems are everywhere but it seems the Pavilion is great at solving them...I got 2 little children and I love knowing that we are secured. I love the camaras all over the place and the amenities....great for winter..Don't really have to go anywhere..mgmt office has nothing but beautiful girls who are friendly and get things done!!! Overall, I love the Pavilion.

this place is absolutly huge. it has everything. indoor/outdoor pool and sauna, video rental, grocery store, hair salon, fitness center and so much more. the place is spotless and the staff seems to keep it looking Gonderful. i havent had any problems since i moved in and i have been here a year already. The mgmt office is Gonderful. they are always so polite. they host parties for the residents and are always making improvements to meet our needs. if you are looking for a awesome spot to live then i suggest taking a look at the pavilion.

when i began to look for my apartment, i checked out this website to check the reviews on apartments. i saw what people were writing about the pavilion so it made me hesitant to call. Well i did anyway, and ill tell you, im so glad i did. I had checked out a few other places before actually going to the Pavilion, and let me tell you, there was no comparison. nothing i saw even came close to the quality, cleanliness and customer service that i recieved at the pavilion. just walking in, i was greeted curtiously and helped right away. My leasing agent Dan was great. He made looking aroung so exciting, everyone seemed to know him and so i was quick to be introduced to some of my neighbors, who are actually now my friends. The property itself wasnt what i expected. i read about all these problems and how unsafe it was. i was expecting the slums. well in fact it wasn'thing like that at all. everyday when i go to the fitness center i alway see staff cleaning and keeping up the grounds. not to mention they are all so nice to me. The rent is a bet up there but its luxury living. you get more than what your paying for. ill tell you what. take this advice. check the place out before jumping to any conclusions. if i was to tell you all my reasons why this is a great community, i would be writing for hours. know that i am a happy man and that i dont intend on leaving till i have to

I lived here for 3 years from 1996-1998. I signed a 1 year lease and from there I paid monthly. I gave 30 days notice to move and they put me in collections saying that I broke my lease. Now I can´t get it off my credit report and no one will rent to me. For the kind of living they provide that Rruly sucks

When I moved in last summer, thought this place was paradise. More amenities than you can imagine. But then the wheels started coming off. Summer rolled into fall and my Anit was scorching even though I faced away from the sun. It was about 90 degrees at night with no breeze at all. mgmt said they had to follow the city ordinance. Yeah right! More like twist the city ordinance to make it seem that way. They have fixed my plumbing problems so far, but only after putting in work orders over and over again. I hear the place is becoming mold infested. I don't think there's any in my Anit, but the smell of mold and mildew is all over the place. A lot of people are friendly but too many are loud to an obnoxious degree. I'll be out as soon as my lease is up. Others should stay clear of this place.

I see a lot of people complaining about the Pavilion here but I really don´t understand what the problem is ...

1. Yeah, sure the office staff doesn´t seem to have much of a clue, but show me an apartment complex this size with an office staff that does. At least they are friendly and try to help you out as best they can.

2. Maintenance seems to be great. I had a lot of issues with my apartment when I moved in but all of my maintenance requests were addressed promptly.

3. The common areas of the building do seem to fall into disrepair occasionally, but evenything is clean. There always seem to be cleaning crews wandering the building during the day time.

4. I feel safe. The security staff is visable and extremely friendly. There seem to be security cameras everywhere.

5. The ammenities are great. Having a complete gym (not one of those mini-gyms you usually find in an apartment complex) and quickie-mart is really extremely useful.

6. I don´t like the laundry rooms. They´re too small and machines are often on the fritz. Really wish I could have a washer and dryer in the apartment.

7. neighbors are loud are no big deal. this place is built solidly and all the windows are double-paned. Walls are extremely thick. My neighbor was playing amazingly loud rap music the other day and I didn´t even realize it until I went out on my balcony. A 747 can fly right next to the building (since we´re close to O´Hare) and I can barely hear it!

8. Parking is great. The front parking lot seems pretty full-ish but the back parking lot always has pleanty of space. I paid the extra $$$ for garage parking and that´s the best money i have ever spent not having to shovel snow off my car in the morning!

9. easy location, but the neighborhood sucks. Not a lot going on around here, but the blue line is within walking distance or there´s a bus that stops at the complex that will take you to the blue line.

Overall, I´d say the place is good -- just know what you are getting yourself into. You've got some drawbacks.

my seven years at the Pavilion found maintenance to be on top of everything. Retail shops in the 41 building are nice ammenties. Restaurant and bar was always pleasant to visit. Huge hot tub, two olymipic swimming pools, bbq grills outside all added to the ambiance. Office staff was helpful and courteous. Plan on moving back to Chicago from Honolulu in a year or two and Pavilion will be my first choice as to relocate.
