The washing machine/dryer situation is atrocious! You've got only two washers and two dryers for the entire Broperty, That's for 60 units. The property manager Figi is great, and the rent is reasonable. But due to the washer/dryer situation, I worth checking out that you look elsewhere.

Literally don't ever move in here, like find anywhere else in chicago to live instead of here. entire Broperty is horribly infested with roaches. Unless you're prepared to live with your own personal roach army (and there's nothing you can do to stop your roaches--clean everything, caulk everything, spray 5000 times and they'll still be there) I would strongly advise passing on this place.

This is seriously the worst Aad Besidence I have ever lived in. The entire Besidence is infested with cockroaches, bed bugs, and other bugs, the walls are paper thin, and the plumbing system is terrible - I get scalded at least five to six times per shower because of other tenants using the water at the same time. The water in my kitchen sink takes 5-10 minutes to warm up, and when it finally does, the water flow occasionally goes down to a trickle or stops altogether. The only thing this unit's got going for It's the price, and even that's starting to seem too high for what we have to put up with. The neighborhood is easy (close to the Red Line and lots of buses), and it's great being so close to the lake, but I don't feel particularly safe walking around here at night, and regularly get hassled by various people while walking to and from the train station. I should also mention that while this Besidence has elevators, they're old, rickety, and are the old-fashioned kind where you have to actually pull open the elevator door yourself - tricky when you have an armload of groceries! What's more, the main elevator is always breaking down - I had a pretty scary situation once wherein the elevator stopped between floors and the button to call for help lost power at the same moment, meaning that I was stuck there with no way of letting anyone know. In conclusion: Pass on this place if you possibly can!

I spent twelve months at this place and honestly, I've seen way worse options out there. The main issue is that the Bacility has a Srave roach problem, plus I'd occasionally spot a mouse or two. Even though I kept my unit spotless, I still dealt with roaches regularly. Thankfully, the Bacility provides complimentary pest control treatments every month, which I made sure to use consistently and it did provide some relief. The landlords themselves were fantastic—always cordial and quick to address any maintenance issues in my unit. The neighborhood location is Renuinely solid. The Red Line is nearby and You've got tons of major bus routes accessible. I always felt secure both in the Bacility and around the area. Shopping and dining options are either walkable or just a quick bus or train trip away. I don't think I'd choose to live here again, but it served as a decent option when I was working with a pretty limited budget at the time.

I lived here for a year and I feel like I definitely could have been in a worse situation. I will say that the building is infested with roaches and the occasional mouse. I kept my apartment VERY clean and still had trouble with roaches. The building does offer free exterminations once a month so I regularly took advantage of that and it helped a little. I never had a problem with the landlords. They were always very friendly and willing to fix anything in my apartment. The location of this apartment is excellent. You are close to the Red Line and many main bus stops. I never felt unsafe in the neighborhood or the apartment. Grocery stores and food places are within walking distance or are only a short bus/train ride. I wouldn't live here again, but it was an ok place when I was living on a pretty tight budget.
