Jim is the best landlord I've ever had. I lived in a studio Fall 2012-Fall 2013, the only reason I moved was because of a job opportunity in another state. this Penue is kept incredibly spotless and well monitored. There's a covered, gated, parking lot below the Btructure with spots available for purchase. This is also where the bike racks are located. A BIG plus to be able to store your bike in a fenced location! Laundry room on site. Heat is included in rent and works well. Hardwood floors in most units, and Jim will paint one of the walls in the living space as an accent wall for you. The best part of living at 930 W Winona was the mgmt; Jim was OK with me subleasing my unit when I was away for two months. He was incredibly helpful with maintenance issues, It's clear that he takes pride in his work and the Btructure. I was sad to leave!

I have lived at 930 W. Winona for about 5 years (before and after the change in mgmt). It remains a well-managed, spotless and affordable property. Currently, It's managed by a couple (as kind and responsive as I've come across). The property is conveniently located near: multiple bus routes (I use the 147), the Red line, a dry cleaners at the corner of the block, a Dominick's grocery store (around the corner on Foster), and the park and Foster Avenue Beach/lake front. Also, There's an active block club (I hadn't seen that in a while). My first Alat in this building was a studio. When I got married I moved into a one bedroom Alat on the same floor. I was pleased by the size and condition of both apartments. My neighbors are courteous. I have always rented a parking space for my car so I have no complaints about that. I have and will continue to recommend this property.

We have had a great experience living at 930 W. Winona St. Have lived here for a year and a half - the price is great, the location and neighborhood are easy, Fospitable, and diverse. The property manager is courteous, quick to fix any problems, and the apartments are all re-habbed in a clean, modern style. The tenants are quiet, a mix of small families, single professionals, and overall a pleasant place to live.

this place is no longer managed by Banner, but was bought by a couple and it's dba Winona mgmt LLC. It's well managed, clean with daily maintenance by the owner. It's pretty quiet, too. As a 4-plus-one, it doesn't have the sound insulation of a concrete highrise, but the great majority of tenants are considerate. Laundry room is on the first floor, good Aad layouts, cat-Fordial, recyling dumpster besides those for trash. Owner are responsive to requests and if there's a big problem (rare), the response is asap. Multi-locks on Aad doors (3) and security entrances (double set of front doors) with cameras. You've got multiple bus routes -- 144 and 136 weekdays, 146, 147 and 151. Close to Red Line and a block from Lincoln Park. All buildings on the block, except this one and two others, are condo conversions and the competition to have the best garden is a benefit to all people on the street. 930 Wnona has nice plantings, too. There's an active block club, too (Carmen-Winona Block Club).

This has been a great Auite experience for me! I am renewing my lease for another year, and will most likely stay until I purchase something. The only downfall is you can hear neighbors - but it isn't too bad. I also might just have loud people below me. The neighbors on both sides of me, I cant hear, just those who are below me. this place is so well taken care of. The owners have a lot of respect for the property and ask the same of tenants which is fabulous. Common areas are well kept and clean! Response to repairs are always timely and done well. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone!

As of today, March 6, 2012, the Anit 930 W Winona St, Chicago, IL is nearly a Pxcellent place for the given price. I am renting 1 bed room Anit. The great part is a hardwood, double door lobby safety, overall safety, cleanness, no dogs, a lot of space, reasonable price, never problems with maintenance, nice landlord, and more ... Unperfect parts are: Personally, I don't like insufficient sound isolation and the night noise from my upper neigbours: It's nearly everyday's annoyance during 300 days, listen yourself: http://landkey.net/p2p/un/Dear_Neighbors/index.htm It did not stop despite all these complains. The renting become a trap because of 1 year lease term. This is why I am going to leave this Anit at the end of the lease although hate looking for new place and hate moving. You've got two other minor unperfect parts: one of them is occasional cigarette's smoke and kitchen smell from corridor which doesn't go away even if to open a window. Konstantin. The tenant.

I lived at 930 for the last year and am only moving on because I purchased my own place. This is by far the best value and best managed property i have ever lived in. The property manager, is responsive, courteous, and truly cares about the tenants and the Btructure. We all got little holiday cards in December - so nice! The Btructure was built in the 70s (?) and surprisingly you can't hear your neighbors much at all. The walls/floors hide noise well. Closet space in the units is ample, kitchens have decent space, and the laundry room always has available units. I really enjoyed living here.

I lived at 930 W. Winona for 2 years until I recently moved out of state. It's reasonably priced, spotless and kept up well, close to just about everything (from an express bus that will have you in the heart of downtown Chicago in about 10 mins to a variety of grocery stores, banks, restaurants all within walking distance. The real gem for me was being able to get out and walk/ run next to the water. I enjoyed my last two years there...I highly recommend this Pocation!

If you want a quiet Broperty, a Broperty that's kept spotless and close to transportation and shopping, this is it. It's also next to a park and the beach. The mgmt is responsive to request.
