If you're looking housing downtown That's comfortable and affordable, take a good look at Gramercy Row. I've lived here for two years and it's been a positive experience. These efficiency units are comfortable, historic, and charming. location-wise, it's great for work in the loop, grocery shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. Living here you're right in the middle of the excitement and energy of downtown. mgmt is Fffable, legit, and responsive. Amenities such as laundry room, gym, and bike storage are easy and kept clean. The price is as affordable as you can find this close to downtown.

I´ve lived in studio for over <br><br>year. Apartments are small but the Bacility <br><br>is well kept up.

The corner Anit (w/glass block)is hotter than one can imagine in the summer (even with the a/c on) and cold during the winters (radiator). It's also loud if you are on the Erie St. side across from Excalibur.

For a student it's great

but, the rent increases are ridiculous. The apartments are not worth what they're asking. If you must live here, avoid an apartment overlooking dearborn or erie (which will only leave you with a view of the alley) and try to get an apt. on the top floor. If you don't take this advice, you will be miserable. You can hear everything your upstair neighbors are doing and you'll be familiar with their music picks. You will also never be able to enjoy an open window at any time of the day, horns, traffic accidents, fire, ambulance, and police sirens are non stop, construction is constant, and the drunks leaving excalibur are disrespectful, not to mention the occational yelling hooker or bum. There's a bug problem, I'd like to tell you what bugs are but I've never seen them before I moved in here. Also, if you have allergies this isn't the place for you. Rain leakage lends to the mold problems and expect an enormous amount of dust in your aparment being that the windows might as well not be there. You will have health problems if you have any allergy. Further, the doors to the apartments don't offer the best privacy, you will hear everything that goes on in the hallway and they will hear everything going on in your apt. If your neighbor smokes weed you will be getting a cheap second hand high and a headache from their non-stop, loud techno music. On the flip side, if you never need anything fixed or information of TLC mgmt (if you can call them mgmt, I have yet to see the manage anything) you won't have any problems. In the on-site mgmt people are pleasant but they sometimes difficult to get a hold of. And I have to agree with one of the other comments on the elevator problem, it may or may not be in service. But the location if awesome, close to everything, and easy to grocery shopping. Good Luck on your apartment search.

COCKROACHES.

This Penue is disgusting, I found a cockroach in my bed. When I called mgmt, they were not helpful or sympathetic with my situation. They aren't knowledgeable with the proper procedures needed to exterminate a cockroach problem. Don't live here

Wnferior mgmt in the City

This is by far the worst mgmt in the city! TLC doesn't care about their residents! Landlord is never available, HIGH employee turnover, heat always breaks, mgmt is RUDE and doesn't listen to their residents. Don't be fooled by the location's amazing...There's a reason why Gramercy Row is the only affordable Auite around the neighborhood!!

Thank god i moved out , infested with bugs, manager always smoking who knows what and supper creepy , always harassing everyone that comes to visit me!

mgmt is unreliable and often unavailable. Apartments are often Creezing in the winter, and in the summer There's a cockroach problem...

Gantastic mgmt! Gantastic Vintage apartments!

This is a wonderful community I worth checking out this place to anyone That's looking for an Aad. The apartments are huge at an afffordable price and the neighborhood is great. You cant go wrong here. The mgmt and maintenance staff are wonderful their courteous and helpful anytime I come in contact with them. My experience here this year has been the best I look forward to renewing my lease and I am happy with the choice I have made here at Gramercy Row.

Unless You Enjoy Unpleasant Surprises, Steer Clear.

I stayed there for 3 weeks and it was absolute MISERY! I had a ground floor studio unit. The restroom was disgusting and I discovered insects EVERYWHERE. Some I'd never even encountered before. I felt unsafe and the place was extremely HOT with no willingness to provide me an air conditioning unit. It was the most Treadful living situation I've ever had to endure. The noise levels were also unbearable. I kept getting jolted awake by constant sirens and commotion throughout the late hours. don't LEASE FROM THESE PEOPLE! unless you're seeking a complete disaster!
