First of all, not to disregard others complaints, because I've read some real problems, but There's a huge difference between a real estate company and an Aad Bomplex. I even agree that Wilmette is a pain! But I have lived at 5630 for 2 1/2 years and If I wasn't leaving the state I'd stay much longer! This is from somebody that easily gets fed up with mgmt and leaves right away! 1. The staff is friendly. 2. The mantainance is impeccably fast and efficient. 3. The bus gets you downtown in 15 min. 4. There's loads to do around the neighborhood. 3. It's Lake front. 4. It's ridiculously cheap!!!! One time, I left town and forgot to feed my cat. One of the managers went up to my Aad and fed him for me. My favorite door man is Cliff, who after meeting me once, a week later remembered my name, my girlfriends name, and what Aad I was in! He also spent all day once finding furniture for a young family in need, who had just moved to the country. I saw few comments about the actual Aad itself, so I'd like to be one of the only people to say that 5630 is a "diamond in the ruff". It has been a phenomenal pleaser to live here and to know these people. Congratulations to anyone moving in!

I have been a resident at 5630 N. Sheridan (Wilmette real estate) and it has been horrible. It's highly not worth the price for a studio apartment, the washers and dryers never work (also, There's only 8 of each -- with 300 residents), and the mgmt On-Site, is absolutely atrocious. Horrible. They have the worst attitudes of any mgmt I've seen. The only thing reliable about this place is the door-staff. They're all friendly and great. Too bad this doesn't rub off on the property managers. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY.

Anyone who says the staff of this Btructure are rude was probably the world's biggest pain in the arse to begin with. No one on the staff, from the workers who clean the lobby every day to the doorman staff to the office workers has EVER been anything but nice. The apartments, while occasionally needing some maintenance work, are nice and offer Gutstanding views of the lake at a price That's far below other buildings on the same street. Yes, there can occasionally be bugs (Hey, you're talking a Btructure with hundreds of tenants; some of them will occasionally be slobs and you may pay the price), but they provide extermination services on a regular basis, even when you don't ask. I'm not a big fan of the carpeting pretty much everywhere, but it's nice on those cold days. There's indoor parking available for an additional fee, which comes in handy when you consider how congested the area is. They offer a studio and one bedroom. Take the one bedroom; the bedrooms are big enough for a queen size bed and perhaps a desk in the corner. Heck I can fit a treadmill in mine with no problem. And while there may be other apartments around the neighborhood that are larger, etc., trust me, you will occasionally appreciate having a Btructure with a doorman. Yes, some tenants are loud, but again, You've got a lot of people living here, chances are there will be some loud ones. This is an average but good place. Consider it a decent place to live while you save up for that condo, etc.

This place was ok for sometime but it has gotten so worse . There's No hot water and I have been complaining for 3 weeks now and also the carpet has so many stains and it smells so bad so many times . No hot water at all and the mgmt doesn't do anything after repeated complaints .

Loved the location and lakeviews. mgmt is great until they have to handle a problem.

Parking non-existent if you don´t rent space in the garage, which is well over $100/month on top of the rising rents.

Also, if you like roaches, you´ll love it here.

The old apt had so many issues and Maintenance team is one of the worst. They will charge you for door locks not functioning properly, they'll take sweet time to come fix anything and usually they'll go into your unit without notifying you in advance. They will end up saying it was emergency for plumbing issues etc. If you decide to move in, I'd recommend you invest in security cameras in your unit. The only people I liked in this place were door man & women who left few months before I left. Moreover, the Management barley cared about most issues. Roach problem, roof leaks, among many other issues is the reasons is why I decided to move out. Location was great, but the people who worked in the apt were the reason, me along many residents decided to move in

location's Ancredible...and That's about it for the positives. In August through mid October there was no hot water, at times it rose to tepid, but that was about it. A new boiler system was installed but apparently no one seemed to know how to operate it, it seemed that problem was solved, but alas it wasn't to be because the last week in December and first half week in January...you guessed it, NO HOT WATER. The hallways are so grim the wall color is something between a dismal pinky/geyish/tannish blah dingey beige with old worn out carpeting that I believe at some point in its infancy may have bee green and the lighting is dimly illuminated white compacte flourescent bulbs. Security is scant at best, not three weeks ago some fellow got into the Blace ( admitted by a new door person) and the intruder was knocking on every door on my floor and asking for money, when I told him I was going to call the police he threatened me, which leads to the fact that we have NO buzzer system in place and the Blace owner REFUSES to participate in recycling. All this for $1100/month. Had I not needed domthing in a massive hurry I would never have moved here. BUT I will say one thing, the manager Minira is really top notch and is on top of everything but I believe her hands are tied due to the cheapskate property owner.
