I live in a 1bd, and although the living room and bedroom are nice, the walls/floors/ceilings in this building are questionable to say the least. There is a part of my apartment which physically slopes down a noticeable amount, and in fact, I've noticed the entire apartment is actually slightly uneven. The sound bleed from doors and walls/ceiling are immense; I can hear people talking upstairs/ watching tv through the ceiling often over my own conversations/ tv (same goes for next door). The elevators are concerningly broken (no buttons light, it goes up instead of down, the doors will shutter, etc). I have found only a small portion of the apartment that doesn't squeak when even I walk (I'm only 120lbs). The electrical is a danger, several switches and outlets have sparked or simply no longer work. THE BEST: there is a fist-sized hole above my shower, and maintenance shrugged it off saying "they fill it when you move out anyways," so for going on 6mos now drywall and water from upstairs (and rain) have been leaking into my shower. Icing: the kitchen has space, but it is closed off meaning it is walled in with no access to natural light and it gets HOT and LOUD; and the gas stove is "iffy" to say the least.

One of the worst places I have rented. PPM staff is very rude and not cooperative. One time , I complained about floor noise from tenant above my unit and I was told to move to high rise building if I have a problem with squicking floor noise. My apartment had heating issues and had to beg them to provide me an electric heater . They refused to pay additional electricity bill later. Wooden floor is very noisy and I was unable to sleep without putting cotton buds in my ears.

One of the reasons I picked this apartment was the style of building and the way the units looked. It just has a very classic Chicago feel to it with the stonewall, green awning, and inviting lobby. My apartment has nice hardwood floors and the doorways a big. This helps everything feel much more open. The windows are large, letting the light in. I also appreciate the unit came with window treatments. The 24/7 maintenance is an amazing thing! This is my first time living in a building managed by a company and I am very satisfied with it. I have only had a few things come up, but Val also comes by immediately and is very pleasant. I know another tenant who had an emergency in the middle of the night and he was there to help immediately. What great service! I was hoping to live in Lakeview since I work in the area but worried about the cost of living. Very happy I ended up in such a nice apartment for the price. I am really close to lots of public transportation so I barely use my car. Getting around this big city is pretty easy from Lakeview. It is also easy to get to, so lots of my friends come to the neighborhood because there are so many things to do.

We really enjoy the size of our apartment. The floor plan helps make it feel even bigger. Because the living room leads into the dining room, it feels like a large main space but with enough distinction to make it feel like we have two separate rooms. The bedroom is also large with a big window with very pretty trees outside and lots of closet space. We each get our own side! It feels very private and it's also very quiet. The kitchen is also very good. It is removed a bit from the dining room. We like the appliances that came with the unit including a microwave. They all work very well. Everything was very clean when we moved in. The entire building is also very clean and we like knowing there is a maintenance man on call 24 hours a day. We haven't had any issues since moving in but it's still a good feeling. He does a great job taking care of all the common areas. Lakeview is amazing. We're surrounded by really good restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. Grocery stores and other necessities are a short walk away. Public transportation is excellent. We enjoy going out at night and on the weekends and Lakeview always delivers.

Our one bedroom is the perfect size for a couple. The living area and dining room are open, which makes the whole place feel very spacious. The bedroom itself includes an entire wall of closet space! We also love the kitchen. It is a nice size with updated applicanace, clean cabinets, and a good amount of counter space. Another feature that helps make the place feel big is the fact the kitchen is separated from the rest of the area. We have five distinct spaces in a one bedroom apartment. Keeping track of rent and utilities is a breeze. We enjoy the fact we can pay rent online and that heat and gas is included. The heat is maintained throughout the building so we never have to worry about being charged extra. It is also nice to have our own air conditioning in our unit.
