Decent building but has room for improvement in some areas.

I've lived at Park Shores for two years now. It's in a pretty location's amazing near public transit, grocery and other shopping, the lake, etc. The building itself is decent with spacious apartments and overall friendly mgmt. You've got somethings, but, that I can no longer ignore as a resident here and that have been the deciding factors on our ultimate decision to move and probably never rent with Group Fox again. The biggest issue with living here is package theft. In my two years at this location, I've had multiple packages go missing and have seen other residents posting messages in front about their own stolen packages on a weekly basis. Despite bringing this up with mgmt previously (I was told that there wasn't anything they could do), the problem has continued for my entire time here, even after imploring them to install security cameras at least in the mail area. I recently had another expensive package stolen and again brought up the need for security cameras on site as the situation is seriously out of hand. I did not receive a response from mgmt at all on the matter and will take that as a refusal to address the situation. You would think that with the cost of rent here, they could afford at least one camera to be installed! I expressed to them that when these things happen, It's difficult to feel secure and completely safe in my own Auite and that has been shrugged off as unimportant. This is why we're deciding to move and is another reason to never rent with them again. That said, rent here at your own risk. you won't be helped by mgmt and they will don'thing in the way of preventative action when it comes to the building's security. Note also that you can't have both an air conditioning unit and a ceiling fan on at the same time as the power will trip within minutes (another issue we have here that has never been looked into). The breaker box is in the basement in a particular unit, so be prepared to run back and forth every day from your Auite to the basement to turn the power in your Auite back on. Rent at your own risk!!
