I AM DOING THIS REVIEW CAUSE I KNOW THIS IS THE SEASON OF NEW APARTMENT HUNT:" I REQUEST EVERYONE PLEASE DO NOT TAKE IT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED VERY DISRESPECTFUL" I have been living here since 2021 and regret signing the lease. The management is extremely rude and unhelpful when it comes to finding better floor plans. If you are Indian or of Indian descent, avoid this place at all costs, as the management displays clear racist tendencies towards -------. I have been trying to switch to a better floor plan since December 2023, but the leasing office has consistently given the preference to others over me. This place is a complete scam. The front desk staff and leasing management have shown me a great deal of disrespect. For students associated with UIC Global, please seek better housing options. I was previously with UIC Global in 2019 and moved out of Tailor Lofts due to being manipulated into paying extra rent compared to others who leased directly through Tailor Lofts. I returned after COVID-19 because of the proximity to UIC and hoped the new management would be better. However, the situation has only worsened, with increased unfair treatment and unwarranted charges of $50. I strongly advise against renting here. UIC Global should place their students in better accommodations, as young students are particularly vulnerable to such exploitation. I am currently in discussions with a lawyer and plan to report the management to the Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity. Summary: Management is rude and unhelpful. Discrimination against -------. Preferential treatment for non-Indian tenants. Manipulative practices leading to higher rent for some. Unwarranted charges and unfair treatment. Please consider these points before making a decision to lease at Tailor Lofts

Absolute, --------. DO NOT MOVE HERE. I've worked for this company at a different property and I can assure you can find a MUCH better living situation downtown or near UIC without having to deal with the absolute -------- you will have to put up with living here. Please. Put these people out of business and let a better investor come along and take this property. They should not be allowed to keep ------- over consumers in the name of "student housing." Do you love getting ripped off? Do you just absolutely enjoy paying a ton of money and getting the bare minimum in return? Boy do I have a place for you! Here are the facts: Tailor Lofts makes $4400+/month on each 4 bedroom unit they own. What makes a cramped apartment worth $4400 you may ask? Well lets start with excellent internet! Oh wait. Nope. You don't get that. Instead you get 4mb/second. What that means in English is good luck playing a Youtube video at 480p without waiting for it to load every 20 to 30 seconds. Don't expect internet in the common areas either, because it just straight up doesn't work!! Okay well that's just one thing! How about the amenities!? They have a gym! It's great! Don't you love it when half of the machines in the gym are broken! It's even better when half of the weights in the gym are missing! It's like the gym is telling you why work out when you can just not! What encouragement! Okay well how about on-site laundry, that's pretty neat, right? Sure. If you just love paying $1.89 to fit maybe 3 shirts into the extremely small washer it's awesome (Apparently the $4400 they charge per month in rent for an apartment doesn't cover laundry)! Why do they charge $1.89 you may ask? Well it's because they want to ensure that you spend more on the machine than you will actually use! By my math (and forgive me I'm a law student not a math PHD) it would take 100 machine uses to get to a full dollar amount! It is quite literally cheaper to bring your laundry to a laundromat who will wash, dry, and hang your clothes for you than it is for you to do your own laundry at your apartment!! What a deal! If you weren't sold yet though, wait until I tell you about the office! It took EIGHT separate attempts to send a lease to me! It took THREE attempts after that for them to get the correct addendums to me! It took over a week to get a lease signed! I've worked for this company in another state, so I can speak first hand about the level of ineptitude that stems from the leasing agents. If you love not trusting the people who will be dealing with your social security information, lease, and credit, you'll love Tailor Lofts staff! Act fast and do yourself a favor! Live anywhere else.

Simply horrible experience it's only drinking shouting even till late at night with no caring for fellow room mates residents plus no security Patrolling to check what's happening around. very poor security outsiders can just walk into the building crossing the security who is busy with her mobile. I heard about same but still insisted my daughter stay there and am terribly repenting. I hope those planning to stay will take note and not face this similar horrible experience.

Living at Tailor Lofts has been a great experience! It is conveniently located to my campus as well as several shops and restaurants in the West Loop. The room sizes fit my needs and the amenities are excellent and worth the price of the rent. I have always had positive interactions with the management and any issues have been resolved effectively and in a timely and sophisticated manner.

The property itself is well maintained. However, as an older law student, I don??™t believe the residents are respectful of the property or staff. I like the maintenance and leasing staff, but my roommates have no desire to care for our apartment. Particularly I am moving because of this reason.

The management is rude and unresponsive. Rent is absurd. I love my unit and the fitness center, that's about it. You have to shove an issue down management's throat before they will listen to you and even then they will act like you're being ridiculous. Other residents are rude and gross, they leave food rotting in piles in the trash rooms, are loud and drunk in the hallways every night every weekend. The door and maintenance staff are great, though.

The first impression was the gorgeous view from my room. This view is directly heading to the UIC Hasted and the UIC campus, so it made the room space feels much bigger and warmer. My room is consideredly larger than some of my friends' rooms (also living in Taylor Lofts). Apart from that, the price for these features is just basically not worth it.

So far everything has been great. The flat is large and clean, the room is cozy. It??™s closed to bus stop and the L, and UIC for me. The kitchen is clean and equipped with oven and microwave oven. A gym room is a bonus to all these. One thing bad about this place is that the WiFi here is disconnecting all the time. Another thing worth mentioning is the light being to dim. But in general it??™s fine.
