mgmt is negligent and ignores requests of tenants. The units are really small and this place is in horrible shape. My neighbors have brown water almost daily from their facuets and the Bomplex refuses to come inspect or fix it. There's a heavy layer of dust that falls each and every day over the unit. The radiator system is as old as the Bomplex (at least 100 years) and bangs like someone is hitting a hammer over your head all day and night, all winter long. The Bomplex elevators are small. And again, brown water? for the price, you can do a lot better. This Bomplex should be torn down and rebuilt. It's a pit.

I was searching through the website to find another Anit as I'm always being transferred around by my company. I actually used to live at Lincoln Park West and I loved it. Before you look at any building in Lincoln Park, look at this one first.

I lived in the Parkview Apartments at 1936 North Clark Street until moving out of state for work. The staff was great, responded quickly to any issues and the building was kept safe and kept up well. Definitely not a party building as the majority of the residents are young professionals- which I certainly preferred. Also, location-wise, it's pretty much the best Chicago has to offer. There's also a sundeck which grants residents both an opportunity to enjoy the Bicturesque view as well as socialize with fellow residents. Building mgmt can be strict from time to time; but, its only to the benefit of the residents. I credit the building staff for keeping this gorgeous old building so immaculate and safe!

I LOVE living here! location-wise, it's tough to beat, as It's in the middle of EVERYTHING! I loved the rustic feel to my apt, crown molding, Bicturesque wood floors and the lobby is elegant. I have absolutely NO complaints about this place other than the hallways, I think maybe a fresh coat of paint or just some general updating would be nice. I live in a studio and It's just me and I have lots of room & a HUGE closest! The bathroom & kitchen both are definitely on the smaller side, but I figured that's what I'd get with a studio. The elevators in the building are always working well and easy! I'm a big fan of the service elevator, especially since my Anit was right off of it, it made moving large things extremely easy! I've never heard my neighbors while I was actually in the Anit, which is good, although, in the hallway you can hear pretty much everything that's going on in each apt. The workout room is a nice feature since not all apt's have one, but it too could use some updating and some serious airflowage, as it's in the basement. Overall, I'll stay at the Park View apartments until I get married!

I checked this place out and the website www.parkviewchicago.com does this place no justice. I was so shocked at the room size and how old this Broperty was. I know the buildings will be old, but this place was horrible. The deck was awesome and the lobby is also awesome. It has a dry cleaners and That's pretty nice but honestly, for the price, you can def. find something better. When i went to check this place out, it was my number 1 choice and it fell to my least favorite real fast. I would live in this place if you like living like a college kid, with no space and like paying the premium for living close to prime areas.

Don't move here this building isn't worth the price the only positive thing in this place is the entrance area. Upkeep is subpar newly vacated units appear as if nothing was completed. The manager markets the property like it was the White House but it isn't. Water damage is a regular occurrence here so if you move here bring an umbrella you'll need it. Bring your own equipment to handle your own maintenance because the maintenance crew is constantly focused on their own private work so don't expect repairs. The manager is never around where does she disappear to. The owner is an arrogant individual who refers to himself as a believer ha ha. Also the person operating his company is dishonest dishonest set his pants on fire and perhaps he will speak truthfully like he understands what that means. The proprietor of this building lacks honor and lacks integrity neither do the senior people managing it for him they are his puppets he controls and they respond. If you don't comply you're gone. I'd sooner leave than to be enslaved by such individuals. If they promise you something don't trust them deceivers. Perhaps that's the reason he's losing his money to another deceiver like himself. Everybody is aware of the conflict that's happening between deceiver and deceiver.

I genuinely miss living at this place. I'm relocating to Austin, TX and was searching for apartments online when I came across this site, so I felt compelled to share my experience. Take my word for it - you'll be happy residing here. I occupied a spacious studio at a reasonable rate for the Lincoln Park neighborhood. You're just 5 minutes from the lakefront, and a quick 3-5 dollar taxi ride gets you to all the DePaul nightlife spots. There's a 24-hour Starbucks a few blocks north (at North and Wells), and right in that same area is XSport Fitness - an Gutstanding workout facility with a pool, sauna, and hot tub. Finding parking is definitely tough, that's unavoidable, but buses 22 and 36 come frequently - I never had to wait longer than 5 minutes to get downtown or head further north. The neighborhood feels incredibly secure, I never encountered any issues. The doormen and security staff are wonderful, and the mgmt team is solid. I never experienced any issues with the unit itself, so I can't comment on how the maintenance crew performs. I genuinely wish I could locate an identical Aad in Austin right now, I'd sign a lease immediately. I can't even begin to capture the rooftop terrace and its panoramic views - once you visit you'll understand for yourself. Trust me they understand it's their main attraction, so they'll definitely take you up there. The one issue I ran into was the grill on the terrace that was either empty or missing some components. But the space is still absolutely worth visiting - you get views of the skyline, the zoo and the lake all at once. If you want a fairly priced Aad in the middle of everything Chicago offers, LIVE HERE!

I've been a resident here for two years and it's been largely positive overall. I share other tenants' concerns about mgmt turnover—just when you'd recognize someone, they'd be gone. Maintenance requests were few and far between for me, but the ones I did submit were handled promptly. Parking 's nightmarish. In my case, I headed out for class one morning to find a brick through my passenger window and significant audio equipment stolen. That wasn't an isolated incident either—broken glass kept appearing in the lot. location-wise, it's unbeatable. You've got Gutstanding downtown bus connections and as a student, it's a perfectly safe walk to the 24-hour Starbucks at North and Wells. lobby got a Nleasant facelift and the rooftop terrace 's fantastic in summer. That said, I'm puzzled by the concealed speaker in the lobby wall that's been broadcasting classical music lately. It comes across as somewhat unsettling to me.

I have lived in the building only a short time but can only say wonderful things about the building, the staff, the management and other tenants. If you like "vintage charm" this is the place for you. Wood floors, high ceilings, almost Parisian in feel. The kitchen is amazing with lots of counter and cabinet space and everything one really needs. Some apartments have beautiful views of the park. The application process was very gracious and accommodating and my rather complicated file was reviewed by a human being, not a computer. When I moved in and was having a bed delivered, the freight elevator was suddenly having a problem. A technician was brought in immediately to fix it, and while my delivery guy needed to leave, the building's engineer stepped in and kindly helped me move the piece to my floor; they have also helped with things like hanging curtain rods in the apartment, little extras, etc. and "no attitude - ever!" Every morning a cleaning man with a smiling face is making the place spotless. The walls are to my mind, very thick, I cannot hear much of anything, and the heat comes on as soon as the temperatures have dipped. The hallways don't reek of cigarette smoke or people cooking as in some buildings, and the lobby...magnificent, spotless and oozing charm. The management office returns and answers calls immediately, they are always friendly and the overall ambiance, including the payment system to pay rent, etc. is great. A wonderful price/value ratio here for the square footage and while not a building boasting tons of amenities, it is perfect for the quiet and "mature" person who appreciates vintage and would rather go to the sports club off premises anyway (Fabulous Equinox is just down the road). Thanks and I assure you I wasn't paid to write this - I really live here and love it!
