These apartment building aren't the best out there, but I must say I enjoy living there. The apartments are older, but very clean, and well kept. The apartments are not small at all. The community is very easy going. You can paint, change, add, remove, and modify anything you like. I love it there. It's quite, and close to everything. The gym is nice, and the pool is great. They made it very easy for me to move in. I love it there. I am looking forward to my year there. Also, the prices are great considering the location.

I lived at San Marco for two years. The only reason I stayed more than one was that I just had a baby at the same time the lease renewed and it was too difficult and expensive to move in this city.
There is a serious issue with fraud and misrepresentation here. There is a gym advertised that no one can ever use because it's always locked. The security gate is always open with noone checking. Cars have been stolen here. The workmanship is shoddy - you pay for services and appliances that don't work. Our washer fills up with dirty water and is never replaced after repeated calls and visits by maintenance. It is loud - neighbors play loud salsa and rancheras at all hours of the night. The office does nothing when you complain. There is an exterminator who comes on Thursdays if requested, however I am sure that he sprays only water because I have had sugar ants for a year now. The grounds are okay - the pool is well kept. The just paint over everything. They also raise rent every year. I would not recommend this place. The only thing luxurios is the price.

I lived there for just over a year and it was pretty bad. First, they pulled a bait and switch by showing me one apartment and then renting another, which was in some amount of disrepair. The windows were dirty the cheap cabinets in the kitchen were falling apart and the ceiling light panels looked to be about 20 years old, giving a dirty dingy look to it (I replaced those myself)

Maintenance was fairly good, since every time I had a problem they were there almost immediately. Security was practically non-existent, though the neighborhood wasn´t all bad. The thing that really angered me was the gym. They advertise this nice gym, but I could never get in since you had to be escorted by staff....in other words, it was never open.

The pool was well kept and the buildings all received a new paint job while I was there. The company that owns this place is in New York, so I think they just let things get out of hand.

The apartments are badly designed. The Bathrooms oh my only 1/2 a person fits in them. They market the Gym and its been closed since 2001. The security is extremly poor.

Well, let´s see...where do I begin? Let´s start with the rats. Exactly one month after moving in we heard scratching coming from the bathtub and AC closet. Then when we shut everything off and got closer we heard them rustling and screeching. I actually saw 2 rats in the parking lot (at different times). When we came here the management showed us the model and it all looked good. He gave us a great deal - $100 move-in after running our credit. The guy made it seem that we had to have excellent credit in order to get that deal, since he asked us 4 times how our credit was before he ran it. The buildings are OLD and they paint over everything (light switches and plugs). They have a roach problem, as well. They really overpriced this dump. The only luxurious thing they own is the stone with the name at the entrance...think of it as a headstone to a grave. This place belongs in the ------. I have never lived in such filth before. My stomach turns every time I come home!!!!

Take my advice - DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

This was the first apartment I moved into after relocating to Miami. Based on the brochures, it looked like a nice, safe place to live. Boy, was I wrong. The security gates were almost always stuck in the "open" position.

None of my neighbors spoke English, and were extremely loud, blaring all kinds of music day and night.

The maintenance team did not speak English, either, and did not respond in time to calls. They also used my own towels to clean up when they fixed things, thus ruining my towels. I suffered with a leaking central A/C that usually did not work.

The people above me flooded their apartment, resulting in things being ruined in both my bathroom and bedroom closet, none of which were ever compensated for by management.

My car was vandalized twice in the parking lot while living here, also. I ended out breaking my lease just so I could get the heck out of there.

I could go on and on, but please, take my advice and DO NOT EVER rent at San Marco!!
