I am currently living here and I can't wait until my lease is up in December. As a college student this was one of the most affordable places to live at near FIU. However, I will pay the extra $200 for safety, better quality and better customer service. My rent is well over $850 a month after all the fees. I love my apt. and the view, but keeping the building clean is a major problem. Most of the other units have roaches I've been told, so I try extra hard to raid, set traps, and cover all seals. Most of the bathrooms are terrible with holes filled with drywall which is disgusting. The maintenance is not up to par. I had a leak that caused my carpet in my bedroom to be wet, and now it smells terrible and is messing with my allergies and it's taken almost a week to get resolved. I am still waiting. They do not care about my health. If you can afford it, please move to a nicer, safer complex. I know next time I will.

I am living there now and my lease is up for renewal in June but I will never renew it with them. The space is big for an efficient (that s the only good thing). However, they add any fees they want to our monthly bills, the whole building is roach infested, the elevator is down most of the time. The staff does not speak English that well which makes it hard to communicate.

I have lived at this apartment a month. The floor plan is the most spacious I have seen for a one bedroom and I have an excellent view. However, the elevator is DOWN 99% of the time and I have to climb ten floors of stairs every day. Not to mention repairs never get done. My apartment door lock and patio has been hanging off the hinges for a month. When i first moved in the a/c was broke for amonth and htey gave me a $50 off my rent..ooh thanks! And it is not just me every resident i know have simular complaints and when you come in the office all you see are complaining tenants.

I lives in Twin lakes from 2004 through 2009. When I first came they were decent apartments. The elevators worked, the place was clean, and they had friendly staff. As time passed the apartment became a horrible place to live. There were dirty people and children walking with no shoes on, the elevators never worked, and the staf were lazy. I even had a apartment broked into where they stole my brand new computer and televisiopn. I recommened anyone who is looking for a decent place to stay to look somewhere elese because Twin Lakes Apartment of 7th ave and 155th is not the place. Signed, Glad Im away for this jungle.

I live here for one year with my seven month old son. We had to make it up nine flight almost every day, since we lived on the 9th floor, and the elevators never work, and we were stocked several times in it as well as others (very Scary) not to mentioned people getting raped in the building, and cars being breaked into. Very unsafe getto environment. I will not recommend this place to my worse enemy.

This place is horrible. Let's start with Management, they are full of ----. Elvia never answer the phone. All she does is still in the office and look @ that camera, WHICH ONLY WORK FOR HER OFFICE & caller ID. When she is not doing that she is ------- that Spanish guy in one of the vacancy apartment. None of the so call maintance guys speaks English. The place is nasty as ---- & ------. They break into cars often there. They also rent the club house to anyone hat want to throw a party, which the noise will keep you up all night. I stayed there for 1 yr and there have been 4 rapes in the building. The walls are deteriorating badly. The hallway smell like the building is having plumbing problem. I move out because the building was on the foreclosure list. The complex need someone to invest on it really baddddddd! It need a lot of works. There are only two good things about this apartment complex ;(1) the rooms and spaces are huge and (2)it's affordable. I DON'T RECOMMEND IT

Where should I even begin, for #1 the apartments has a lot of roaches, especially now because they let everybody and anybody live her, really ------.#2 is the maintanence guys does not speak a lick of English very hard to explain to them the problem. #3 The pool, gym, and party room is a dump; I don't know how some people in my building even think about swimming in the pool after it turned black for a couple of months and then they cleaned it. #4 No security and the parking sucks, they are a lot of cars on the complex in which half of them don't work or more on a daily basis. #5 I can't wait until my lease is up in October 2009; I will surely be moving out. I will be moving to a duplex as a lot of apartment complex in SF is starting to turn very ghetttttoooo!!!! I do not want my child around this environment.

First let my start my saying in the apartment guide the landlord put "your living the dream". She is right its a dream but more like a F****** nightmare. DONT EVER EVER live here. The elevator never works, seriously it breaks down every week. The washing machines and dryers on almost every floor works randomly. And last but not least the roaches. But i would say the worst part of living there is that the security sucks, answer me this how does your car get stolen with security sitting 100ft away? This is a warning, take it seriously.

I loved the spacious apt layout. The balcony overlooking the city, 1 1/2 bathrooms, ample closet space, and a kitchen I could get around in. I didn't like the elevator acting up on a regular basis, esp. becuase I lived on the 8th floor. I also didn't like the occasional break down of my central air. If it broke on the weekend they wouldn't come until Monday. can you say HOT! My floor was quiet and clean which might be becuase the manager at the time lived on that floor. As for parking I could easily get a spot but if parking at night I would say do it by a light post. Overall if I could I would have stayed.
