Internet is slow as hell, NO parking for guess..... to many bs rules, NOT worth what you pay for.....The internet company is Hotwire. Do your homework and you will see that they have the crappiest service. The internet is a huge down for me because i need it for work purposes. You might as well have dial up.. You cannot use any other internet or cable company because Hotwire is paying to run a monopoly in this property which should be illegal or it probably is. I can not wait to move out. Image crappy TV signal and slow internet speed 700 mb download speed.

I lived at downdown dadeland for more than 1 year and at first they appear friendly & helfpul. However once you deal with them more than once the staff become rude. You would think that after leasing with them after a year they would be helpful, specially when you pay on time and haven't had any issues, but in fact they try to charge more money than they actually lease the apartment for. They tell you their units are full and it is not true, they tell you the apartment is more than it is actually worth. And if you plan to extend your contract, prepare yourself because they will up your rent by $150 each year (or more). Maintenance staff is not available & if they are it will take them 4 weeks to get to you. They tell you to call for plumbing or if you lock yourself out--locksmith!basically fix the problems yourself. There's no customer service. These people at least need to make it pleasant to deal with, it shouldn't have be a headache otherwise I don't know who would actually enjoy living there.

Do not be fooled by the fake reviews made up by the staff. This place is garbage, the staff is garbage, the grounds smell like garbage, my elevator has been dirty for 8 months. Every month expect to have your a/c shutdown because of their "maintenance". and fire alarm system checks waking you up. forget about having company over, your company would have to pay $12.00 for parking because the 8 free parking spots outside is taken by other tenants at all times, they do not move the cars. The parking is a nightmare, this place in general is a nightmare. Security does nothing but sit in the office and stare at the cameras like a bunch of sick voyeurs. Do yourself a favor and run away, do not buy or lease here, all other tenants are moving out and my only neighbor can't wait to move out. No wonder this place is empty!!!

I've been living here a year and to every pro about this place there is an equal and opposite con. The people who reviewed before me would most likely agree. It's never anything you can't live with, but you shouldn't pay this much per month and be forced to live with it, right? For instance, the pool is wonderful but there is no heater, there are silverfish all over the place in my apartment since the day I moved in. Also, the management when the last two people posted was a lot better than it is now. The apartments are very cheaply made, they look great when company comes over, but everything falls apart. I haven't had company over since the first week I moved in and just from me and my boyfriend walking around the floors are falling apart. Also the soap dishes and towel racks have been falling off the walls in everyones apartments. And the cabinets look great but none of them are wide enough to hold any plates.... there is literally NO cabinet space and one pantry to double as a linen closet too. It's just a bunch of little things that add up... The management tells you every week that the maintenance man is out of town and "coming back on Monday" every time you call about any issue. I've been waiting for him to "get back in town" for about 3 months now... so I fixed my drains myself and now I'm about to move out. Also, this new property manager is a huge witch who tries to empty your bank account by feeing you to death. Also the parking is great but you only get one space and when company comes either they have to pay 4.00 for 3 hrs or find parking in one of the 30 spots in the street (which are always full). PLUS there is no way to Barbeque which isn't a deal breaker, but after a year of no barbecuing its kind of sad :( it's not allowed at the pool or on the balconies. They have rules for everything since its an association and it's just not worth it to me, and they just raised the price too! I will probably find things wrong with the next apartment I move in to but I can at least reassure myself that I'm getting what I am paying for... but paying 1400 /mo. (plus 3 months rent when you move in) for a one bedroom you would expect someone to sit 24/7 in your bathroom and wipe your butt... or at least fix your clogged sink or SOMETHING!

Downtown Dadeland is a very nice place to live. It is quiet and well kept, and security guards are present, awake, and friendly. The negative aspects: The pool and gym are not open (as of 10/2/08) and there does not seem to be any effort being undertaken to get them open. Apparently there is some sort of permit-related issue with the bulding they are in, which has been the explanation for approximately 6 months. We have found some shortcomings in the construction of the units, including switches that control nothing, and ceiling light fixtures that cannot be turned off by any switch (we had to take the bulbs out). Also, the included "cable" TV and broadband internet service is bad. The company has a monopoly and knows it; their customer service reps are variably powerless or clueless, and the TV signal is not cable, it's satellite (Dish Network) and is so poor (grainy, choppy, absent, you name it) that we hooked up rabbit ears to get the digital over-the-air broadcasts for the network channels. It also does not work when it is raining, and the company representatives generally do not respond to complaints.
