I like living here -- I can walk to class, rent is reasonable.

all in all, my experience hasn't been terrible. These are old apartments - been around since the Sixties, if not before - so don't expect the latest appliances. The managers aren't bad guys. A bit sleazy, a bit grumpy, but not evil. Helpful when you need them to be, if you are a friendly tenant. Walter, the handyman, is very sweet and helpful. I've had problems with ants, leaks, and noisy neighbors. The pool, strangely enough, is shaped like a -----. Other than that, I spent three good years here. For a one bedroom apt., it's pretty cool - huge windows, cathedral ceiling, two stories. And for a UM student, the Cloisters are perfect - ride your bike to school and avoid the parking hassle.

I got out just before the new management came in. I had no problem getting the deposit back. I did have problems with ants both in the kitchen and the upstairs bathroom. I lived on the second floor. 1BR is relatively spacious, but also expensive. It's not worth the money; that's why I moved, but it is the closest apartment complex to the UM law school. If you live here, you're paying for location, not for quality.

Do not live here, the new management makes it impossible to get your deposit back, I left on may 1, was suppose to get my check by the 15th, didn't happen. I get the chack and it bounced, do not live here.

The apartment managers Jeff and John are very helpful. They keep the place looking great. The pool and inside gardens are beautiful. The 1 bedroom lofts are unique and fun. Every one of my friends loved it the moment they stepped inside. The only bad point is the no pets policy, which is why I am moving. What a great place!
