I lived here while I was looking for a house to buy. I had a home buyer rider on my lease which would allow me to break the lease when I found a place.

Once I did find a place and tried to leave, I found that they had conveniently "lost" my home buyer rider, and were going to stick me with $7,000 unpaid rent. I went to corporate and they were no help whatsoever.

They ended up putting it on my credit report under collection since I refused to pay. I'm still suffering the consequences... so get and KEEP copies of everything if you move here.

This place was wonderful when I moved in four years ago. Now, it's a rat-infested hell hole. It's dirty, it stinks, it's unsanitary -- the "lobby" no longer has a floor or chairs. It has been torn up as part of their so-called conversion plans for condos. There are three elevators, and never are all three working at the same time, rarely are two working, and three times recently NONE was working. The office staff, without exception, is stupid and rude. Once inside my apartment, it's quite nice -- decent space, outstanding view. So if you plan to never set foot outside your apartment, you might like it. But if you plan to have a life, good luck every time you have to breathe in the rat excrement while waiting for an elevator that may or may not be working. If you read this and still move here, you will be making the dumbest move of your life.

I've been living at the Bay Club for the last three years. Since the building has been sold the managements doesn't care about tenants because they are only concerned with selling the units. Problems: rats everywhere, no security, dirt, no air condition in buildings, can't use the main pool, nor the gym; landscaping every once in a while... It is a complete disaster. Lastly, the management is careless and very unfriendly.

OFFICE: I'm not sure where to start. The new company that bought the building is horrendous. The people in the office have zero people skills. They are so rude and have never been the least bit helpful. I have found that they play pass the buck and still never call you back. The office hours they keep also inconvenient to anyone who works and it is impossible to reach anyone after hours. They also tried to tack on a $500 fee to move out, which was absolutely not in my lease agreement that I had signed.

MAINTENANCE: While they were remodeling the building they painted the doors and notified everyone they would be entering the appartments. When I came home I saw that they had spilled paint all over my kitchen floor and hadn't cleaned it up. After a week of insisting the come up to clean up there mess I finally cleaned up the mess myself.

PARKING: My car (along with 30 others) was keyed in the garage and nothing was done to set up security. Later when the units in the building were being sold, they told the new owners that they could park whereever they wanted, while the renters still had assigned parking spaces. So, if someone parked in your spot you were without recourse and essentially had no place to put your car.

I could go on and on about other problems I have had, but save yourself the trouble and don't move here. This was posted on 7/26/05 - the current management company is the problem.

I have only lived here for six months but I am already counting the days until my lease expires. My disgust with this property (horrible customer service from the staff, terrible landscaping, poor communication, etc) was confirmed tonight when I saw rats (yes, more than one!) inside the building on the first floor. I stronly recommend renting somewhere else.

I have lived in the Bay Club for 10 years. It's like the hood now. The place was great for the first five years, and has declined major in the last five. Management gets worse and worse. I love animals but some people have 60 pound dogs and some owners have three dogs. There is always dog crap & urine in the elevator, hallways, and garage. If they're not peeing on you, they're peeing on the floor. It smells like a dog kennel. There are many more children and imature adults than in the old days. The children and adults are irresponsible, and deface the property. The pool is liking going to an amusment park. The carpet is disgusting, and mildewing. The management is rude. I am waiting to see what they will sell them for, and if reasonalbe (which probably wont be) I may buy. I am hoping the management will change and the trashy element will move away.

The property has posted notices that the community was sold. Hopefully the management will change for the better. The place has been neglected for some time. The common area is dirty, landscaping is overgrown, poor lighting in parking garage and pools, secure doors are left open by employees, and the overall attitude of the staff is poor (unless you’re a big tipper—money talks in Miami). With the rampant conversion of apartments to condominium it might be good for this place to change renters with owners; at least then maybe things will get addressed.

Just like everyone else says... Tenants are stuck up, and goofy, I get a HI back about 50% of the time. Staff and Admin only want your money... hallways and elevators stink... The best thing are the pools, and landscaping - very beautiful, but living here sucks.

Best price in town for size/layout/view. New paint & carpet at move in standard. 2 pools, store, restaurant, 2 jacuzzis, lots of parking. *But* kids run in hallways, dogs pee in halls, graffiti in elevators, management office unhelpful, lots of extra people living here who are not registered (sneak in parking & building), no suana, poolside service & valet service minimal (not like sales agent proclaimed.) Dirty common areas, long-term maintenance bad (hall AC out often, fire in 3 units last week b/c of faulty dryer venting.) Older--no hurricane glass. Ugly new exterior paint. Overall--low deposit, low rents for ocean views. Decent value for the money.
