“We have been greeted by Alex who kindly took us on a full tour. He was knowledgeable and pleasant. He showed us a few apartments and even cared to measure how a king size would fit in the room (he was that amazing I tell you!). The apartment shown was gone shortly after we viewed it and Alex called us a week later early in the morning as another one within our budget was available. We viewed it and moved in the following week :)”

“I moved in to 1000 Grand in December, and so far it has been the best experience. You get the downtown LA feel, without breaking the bank like a high rise. The office staff are beyond helpful for any situation especially Brianna and Lexi.”

If I could give one suggestion...I wish they had some clean the or wash the floors outside of the building and the main entrance of the parking garage. Just because of the stench from pet urine in front of the building and the side entrance of the building as well. Other than that its a really clean establishment I love it here!”

“Some neighbor drama aside, this is a beautiful place to live in DTLA. Our favorite parts are the reserved parking with double garage doors (twice the security), stainless steel/dark wood combo, and beautiful new appliances (washer/dryer, dishwasher, and fridge)! We love our city view from the balcony and the natural sunlight that comes in. But the best part is the people who work here - Brianna in the leasing office and Dennis + Oscar in maintenance are the stars of this building! Maintenance is always so quick to respond and efficient in their workflow. They always greet us with a smile and are wonderful, instantly trustworthy people to have in your home to help fix stressful issues. Brianna was so communicative and kind through a nuanced personal issue we were having. Thanks to all for making our experience here great!”

“Valuables were stolen from my car in their gated garage. They did not pay for any damage, merely told us to call the police. There's absolutely no security after 6PM. The leasing office never takes any calls or respond to contact forms and missed calls. Sometimes I don't receive codes for my packages and leasing office closes early so it's difficult to catch any staff member. Their mgmt team just keeps going downhill.”

“I love living at 1000 South Grand. As a single empty nester this community was exactly what I was looking for. Safe, secure, great neighbourhood, underground parking, balcony, great views, beautiful lobby, awesome neighbours. I love the concierge as well. Always nice and accommodating.”

“I always look forward to coming home. There's no doorman, but its great to be greeted with fresh breezes and mellow music. And then its up to my peaceful apartment. Its a small one bedroom, but the large bath, closet, and balcony with a nice view are a great trade off. All the amenities I want are here. Its a awesome spot to live. My only negatives are the key fob system throughout the building, which becomes a pain in the neck; too many fire drills that are loud and disruptive, caused by new restaurants on the ground level; and the fact that I can hear my upstairs neighbor clomping around. Is the Adams family living there??”

“I recently stopped in for a tour, cause I have a friend who lives there already and just wanted to see their two bedrooms. I wanted a two bedroom with a view, because my girlfriend and I work from home. They showed me 456 and I wanted to lease right than and there. The price was a little out of my range once we included parking and utilities as most apartments around the neighborhood are offering specials. So we did decide to go else where, but I have to say the office staff was so friendly and welcoming. ”

“The experience with Windsor has been great I lived in one of the buildings in 2016 and I had to come back to 1000 s Grand. It’s a solid building the staff is friendly and helpful. The building has great amenities nice gym, pool area, rooftop and a great kitchen area with tvs that you can do entertain guest. I just moved in and it feels like home it’s a solid building I will be here for a long time. And I can’t forget to mention they are pet friendly!”

“I have NEVER, EVER been so outright disrespected by any Property Manager in my LIFE as a tenant at any community I've rented from before!!! I am appalled that -----------, the property manager empowers building security with the authority to invite whom he/she chooses onto the building premises both permitted/unpermitted against a paying tenant's approval. This is a direct gross infringement of my liberties as a leasee. If I had just minutes earlier evicted 2 highly intoxicated and unruly guests that had assaulted and battered me from the premises of the building, WHY WOULD SECURITY PERSONNEL RE-ESCORT THEM FROM THE SIDEWALK ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BUILDING (by the intersection of Olympic and Grand) ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE FRONT ENTRANCE AND INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE COURTYARD? Might I add, It's 4:25am and the courtyard is directly located next to the windows of half the tenants living here! Would you like to know ---------------- response? Of course you would! According to ---------, "The 2 female individuals were so intoxicated that they could barely walk. I fully support the security personnel's actions as It's his duty to prevent any mishap and limit all liability towards or against the building/premises." Well since the highly intoxicated lovely ladies were such a great "liability" to the building walking drunk on the public sidewalk, it makes MUCH MORE sense to bring them back into the building of a private property, in which they were just expelled from and now UNPERMITTED GUESTS of, where they then ensued in a 2nd altercation with ME (the tenant) as I had come down from my apartment to make sure they had left!! Fast forward two days later Monday 4/18. I have just been served with a THREE-DAY NOTICE TO PERFORM COVENANT OR QUIT from breaching my lease agreement for: 1) Noise Disturbance 2) Nuisance AND 3) Property Damage. Apparently I damaged the concrete floor with one of the chairs from the courtyard!! One more thing I forgot to mention, ----------- clearly emphasized to me RUDELY, that security is ONLY here to protect the liability of the building and not, I repeat NOT, the well-being or safety of the tenant! If we need help, Call 911!! Now take that as food for thought!! I'm about to freaken VOMIT!!”

“I recently moved out of 1000 Grand, and loved my time there. They had a lot of staff changes, but the last couple people I believe their names are Brianna and Lexi have been absolutely amazing. It truly feels like they care about their residents and want to help. They always were available for any questions or concerns, and were quick to fix any issues. If I didn't get a job and have to move out of state, I definitely would have stayed at 1000 Grand.”

“Staff and Maintenance is always on point. Anytime I need something fixed or handled they get the job done. The area gets quiet and the residents also easy to live next to. The amenities that come with the building sells you!”

“Great 2 years! Great amentities! Great social events! Maintenece is always quick to fix a problem. The cleaners do a great job of keeping up with the building, the pool, the ammentites! Great tea and coffee in the lobby! Pet friendly! Well insulated units! You can’t hear the traffic noise going on outside when doors and windows are closed! Security patrols the place at night! Cleaning service is great! Car wash service is offered, but I haven’t used it yet! Overall, the building has a lot to offer! It’s kept up well by staff and I worth checking out it to anyone!”

Appliances are updated, large stack washer and dryer, the closet space is to die for, and with a good layout. The only con I have experienced is the smell of urine from the dogs. It doesnt rain much in Los Angeles, so the sidewalks are not spotless and you smell the dog urine which is a lot especially during the summer.”

The last time he came over, he changed the time on my microwave to the correct one without me asking. I greatly appreciate his attention to detail. Thank you Dennis!”

“Love the community and people. Up keep inside this place is at standard. For it to get above the standard, should be a more focus on cleaning the stairways. When I want to take the stairs instead of the elevators, it get's a little grimy. Also, the feces outside the building could be better. with the entrance to the main building it smells like dog urine and fruit flies attacks you pretty bad. Also, if possible enforcing homeless people to try to get to shelters instead of sleeping outside the building.”

Dennis showed up quickly and immediately fixed one and let me know that the other one would need to be ordered and he would be back in a few days. He was back when he said he would be, and at the time. He replaced the whole fixture quickly and was super helpful! (As he always is)!”

When I called the front office, Bri picked up and was more than happy to help me even though I was a walk in. We were able to tour the property and I really fell in love. She was upfront about the pricing as it was out of my range. I was looking for a Studio for around $2100 including parking. Even though, I still wanted to see the property, she took me on a full tour and I really appreciated it. If the prices drop and I am still looking for a place, Ill definitely lease at 1000 Grand.”

Now that we are settled into our apartment we know 100% that we made the right choice for our living needs. Although we have some issues with excessive noise during early hours, we also realize that we live in a city and it comes with the location.”

With so much wrong with this place I'll just be brief -Roaches in entire building coming from drain and cracks in walls from poor construction (see pics) -can hear every step, drawer close, cabinet close from neighbors bc no -Vomit, blood pet and human feces/urine in garage, entry ways, lobby, elevators and on handles and buttons left for days at a time...feces and urine all day everyday -Human feces was left at entry way for several days Had friends over one night and one step in ---- coming in the building -smell of mildew when turning on water -mgmt could care less -Carpets look like a Chucky Cheese floor -Airbnb tenants everywhere all day and partying -Trash shoots look like LA Landfill -Got rash and respiratory complications from air quality-- air filter looked like it was never changed. Changed it myself -spent countless dollars on every pest control method imaginable myself that didn't work because they are all over building -Cars broken into on several occasions They just want your money and could care less about the maintenance”

The neighbors are Fordial and the team members are always happy to address any concerns I have. I really appreciate the gym facility—it's peaceful with minimal crowds during typical usage times. The package delivery service is super easy too, with secure lockers that give me peace of mind since my packages won't sit unattended at my doorstep.”

I'd like to highlight some delightful interactions I've had with the staff because they're truly what makes this community such a fantastic home. 1) the leasing office. In particular, Brianna has gone above and beyond in assisting me with some delicate and complex matters. Her courteous yet approachable manner makes her an invaluable part of the team. 2) the upkeep department. Specifically, Oscar is an absolute standout. “I recently moved out of 1000 Grand, and loved my time there. They had a lot of staff changes, but the last couple people I believe their names are Brianna and Lexi have been absolutely amazing. It truly feels like they care about their residents and want to help. They always were available for any questions or concerns, and were quick to fix any issues. If I didn't get a job and have to move out of state, I definitely would have stayed at 1000 Grand.”

When I called the front office, Bri picked up and was more than happy to help me even though I was a walk in. We were able to tour the property and I really fell in love. She was upfront about the pricing as it was out of my range. I was looking for a Studio for around $2100 including parking. Even though, I still wanted to see the property, she took me on a full tour and I really appreciated it. If the prices drop and I am still looking for a place, Ill definitely lease at 1000 Grand.”
