“Funny. It seems that the only thing really wrong with Park Wilshire are the people living inside. I have met and seen more weirdos come and go from the front door here than anywhere else I have ever lived.<br><br>Everyone loved previous mgmt because they showed certain people precedence in the building and didn't care about the rules. That's great and all but nothing was ever done.<br><br>New mgmt created a lot of stir for the lifelong members of club Park Wilshire, used to previously undocumented and sometimes free parking in the back lot. People seemed floored when they were expected to stop slacking, even holding a number of meetings about how unfairly they had been treated.<br><br>The fact is, the neighborhood isn't great, it's not really even residential and the parking structure is far away and sometimes grimy. Yes there was a shooting... This is Los Angeles. Truthfully rent is reasonably priced, although I suspect not for much longer, and you can't hear anything from your neighbors. As far as I can tell everyone living here is under a wrong impression that landlords and property owners put their tenants first and treat them well. That doesn't happen in LA and certainly not an old building like Park Wilshire changing mgmt every few years.<br><br>”

About 4 weeks later they had some random man barely sprayed Appartment but that just made it worst , it looked like they bothered by spray so they came out even more. I asked neighbors that have been living in this building and they said that many units moved out because of BED BUG INFESTATION AND ROACHES , PARK WILSHIRE Is registered on BEDBUGREGISTRY.COM LOOK IT UP and even tho they haven't been reports in some time I am dealing with the loss :( I had to get rid of my brand new furniture that I worked so hard for and most of my clothes are being thrown again . I'm in the process of moving out this building but on top of being mentally drained and physically exhausted I gotta deal with mgmt being disloyal and not helpful cause they don't tell people they have problems with bugs once they sign lease and on top they don't want to give me my entire deposit back and want me to pay for June's rent when the place isn't HABITABLE AND SANITARY. Last week couldn't take another night in Auite so I'm in credited debt cause I already spent 1800 dollars on airbnb rentals :/ again guys do your research stay away from this headache.”

There'sn'thing by it, no grocery stores or restaurants; its definitely not a easy place to live. We had cockroach problems in our Alat. It seemed to persist even after bug traps were laid and all food was carefully monitored to make sure nothing was left open in the cupboards or around the trash can. There was often a high pitched ringing noise in the lobby that would reach the third or fourth floor. And the fire alarm would often go off. Probably the worst of all is that I moved four months ago and just yesterday did I receive any sort of deposit. I'm disgusted with the check they sent me because out of my $800 deposit it appears that I got $60. We left the place undamaged and clean except for the kitchen sink that had overflowed two days before our move out date. I'm going to call them right now because their was no itemized list of why they deducted so much. Please look for an Alat elsewhere. You've got many other apartments for about the same price that are much better.”

I can't begin to describe all of the crime that has happened this year; sexual assaults, burglaries, working girls all over the Bacility, fires, car break ins, tenants losing their minds and destroying the Bacility. It feels like a halfway house for newly released felons (You've got plenty living here) and an insane asylum. My neighbor hasn't paid rent since the beginning of Covid in March 2020 and they can't get them to leave because It's a rent controlled Bacility. Also, the people in the office never answer the phones or return emails. Lashelle rarely opens the door on Saturdays when she works alone and she is playing with her puppy. The tenants are next level crazy. They wander the halls like scenes out of the Walking Dead. They steal everything that isn't glued down. They are aggressive and beat people up for being near them. It's really like a prison atmosphere. I have seen men playing dice and auctioning off young women to the highest bidder.”

The place is a filthy mess and as for the security guard who is supposed to be watching the door. He sleeps all the time or has his friends over and eats pizza and drinks beer all night with them. As for the Bed bugs and Roaches the place in totally infested. Stay away from this place if you can avoid it. They will take money from you, never fix your apartment and lie to your face. Rude immature managers. The owners of this building would do better business if they get rid of these two managers and get someone in there who could actually do a decent job. We are an legit couple that loved being there. We never had any bug problems and if we had Ana would have taken care of it. There were some delays in getting things fixed but, all in all this is a Pmpeccable place to live. Close to everything, parking isn't a problem, great staff actually helps, maintenance crews are there in 20 minutes on the weekends, you can't buy service like that. It's never loud in the bldg, of course you have sirens from time to time, but you can open your windows in the summer time and listen to the nightly concerts without going into the hustle and bustle of the streets. The grounds always look nice, well manicured, never a safety issue, the bldg is always kept clean. We loved park Wilshire!!! Try for a corner unit they're quite spacious!”

I spoke to Azar made an appointment to see the apartment, I thought the building was really cool kind a throw back which I thought showed lots of character I thought the apartment was huge compared to others I seen. Those are now the best memories I have of this place This place has turned out to be a complete nightmare! First there was the excessive street noise (Sirens, traffic and all night parties across the street homeless people living in the streets, archways and even the bushes upfront) the came the street festival and carnivals and street closers. All the while my apartment was being invaded by Ants and Roaches that till this day I just can t get rid of (I have let mgmt know about the problem I have bought ant and roach spray, gel and traps nothing has worked) Elevators are constantly breaking down it s been over, no heat and recently no hot water, mgmt is virtually non existent office is constantly and when open they pass the buch by saying you have to speak you the manager (which is never there) and everyone in the office have this appearance of don t bothers us. People are now trashing Azar and the old mgmt but at least the were approachable and didn t really seem bothered.<br>If you are even thinking of renting in the area you have to be insane and should really find mental health because you would have to be nuts to live here. I rather live with my parent and lose my privacy than live here I m doing what plenty of tenants are doing and or done PLANNING ON MOVING OUT .<br>”

The heater's barely work, so good luck with that in the winter. The maintenance crew is completely made up of -------- that barely speak english, so they can never tell you why they're in your Alat or what they're fixing. mgmt just sucks. When you talk to them, they act as if you're taking up their time. They also tend to tell you they've sent back your package when they're too lazy to look for it. There's also the little issue with them "closing" at random times during the day, that ---- gets annoying. The neighborhood may be a little rough for people from peaceful suburbs, but its not as dangerous as some people think. The parking situation sucks. You either pay $50 a month and park across the street in a sketchy parking garage (with a dickhead attendant) or you pay $100 a month to park in the ------ parking lot in the back of the Alat building. Sometimes There's an insect problem but it wasn't as bad for me as It's for others. I've killed maybe 8 roaches the entire time I've been here, and I'm pretty clean. Finally, noise is occasionally an issue. People will often congregate outside way too loudly, which gets annoying. There's also an extremely insane girl that lives here that loves to blast her music way too loudly from the parking lot and also has screaming matches with herself in the hallways. Enjoy that. I said before that the heaters don't work, but my god do the pipes bang! You will wake up in the middle of the night thanks to the clanking of the pipes, which is mind boggling since no heat is produced from the radiator. Perhaps someone can explain this to me?”

Lets start with location: It's super close to Hollywood, Downtown, USC, but without any of the related traffic issues. Yes, It's near MacArthur park, but I personally haven't had trouble with it being seedy other than the occasional hoot and holler while I walk my dog. Parking: I park in the back lot, its safe and secured. I had to park in a lot across the street for the first month or two, but the waiting list for the back moves pretty quickly. Facilities: Park Wilshire has a nice gym, as well as new computers in its business center. You've got about 30 total washers and dryers, a machine will occasionally break (which can be expected in any laundry facility) but maintenance fixes everything pretty quickly. Maintenance: Maintenance is fast. They're helpful and they'd probably help you with assembling an Ikea bookcase or something if they're not busy that day. As for bugs, I don't have any issues. Of course if you leave trash out or dishes in the sink, you'll get a gnat or fruitfly. It's not the building's fault, but they do offer regular pest control. My unit is soundproof and I rarely hear any outside noise unless I have my windows open, then I might be able to hear noise from the street or my neighbors, who happen to be quite friendly. The grounds are kept clean, and am proud when I have guests over and they walk through the front yard with the gorgeous palm trees into the old-hollywood type lobby with the huge chandelier. The hallways could be better, maybe new carpet, better lighting and some decoration? Park Wilshire never looses my packages, there's a nighttime security guard, and every now and then they shut off water for repairs or test the fire alarms, I'd be more concerned if they didn't. There may have been issues previously, but since Ana and Jackie took over, they've been making huge strides to making this building better, and there's a good reason it's operating at close to 100% occupancy. If there were a pool and those fancy new hotel type key locks, Park Wilshire could be charging a lot more.”

I lived there for a short while, never changed anything but they charged me $350!!!! for repainting, cleaning and misc. construction. Rctually! I don't even smoke, what could possible need repainting after a couple of month. In essence, calculate the deposit as rent cause you properly won't see it again. It does appear somewhat clean, i thought so at least, but it Rctually isn't. One example would be I once stepped on big warm hot smelling dog ---- (10 in dia.) as I stepped into the hallway from the elevator. Weird Stuff like that happened all the time. Just expect to be unpleasantly surprised on a regular basis.”

Since I travel half the month, I couldn't justify paying what the newer buildings downtown want. This place worked out great and was a good value. Alat: Had a nice studio with an updated bath, kitchen - spotless and cute/vintage. Living area had berber carpet and crown molding, kitchen and bathroom had hardwood floors, and there was a small vanity area. Super-cute apt, neighboors were quiet and never had an issue with noise. You can definately hear the traffic on Wilshire (used to that from just living in City) and frequent sirens. Laundry room is standard, but no change machine. I just found a laundry service nearby that picks up and delivers instead. Never used the gym. BUGS: Saw exactly 5 in the eight months I lived here... 3 cockroaches and 2 small spiders. It's an old building and it was so infrequent it didn't really bother me. They will spray your Alat though. PARKING: Lot in back of building is full with a waiting list. Availible parking lot is a block away - but it seemed like a long block on a not so well lit side street especially as I get home late. This was a big deal so I just went ahead and got parking at the office building next door - secure, much much closer, and better. NEIGHBORS: Eclectic and diverse.... college students, artsy 20 somethings, some professionals, some middle-aged non descript people, and some older people who seem to have been here a long time. Mostly friendly.. nobody sketchy SAFETY/NEIGHBORHOOD: This is urban LA, not Calabasas.. but that considered, this is a pretty quiet and well-lit stretch of wilshire, hardly any restaurants or shops around (mostly office buildings) so There's hardly any foot traffic at night (a few homeless do walk around neighborhood). On the other side of the park though, (Wilshire/Alvarado) it's a complete zoo and doesn't feel as safe. I'm a single female and never had issues here, but I also never have walked to the other side of the park or through the park. Bonus - Langers is few blocks away - best Pastrami in the world RENT: reasonable... they only raised it like $60 when my lease was up and I wanted to go month to month.. which isn't a huge premium for that (some places want $200 or more)”

Mind you, we live right next to MacArthur Park, so walking to and from your car isn't recommended at night. When I signed my lease, the leasing agents told me that there was a waiting list for the few parking spaces that are located behind the building, but I have been here for a year and I'm still on the waitlist!!!! Yes, the rent is relatively cheap and It's pet-friendly, but PLEASE don't MOVE HERE AT ALL COSTS. The headache and stress that you will undergo once you move in here will quickly outweigh the few benefits (if any) that Park Wilshire offers.”

The new Property Manager is cleaning up the building and the kids who use to mistreat it's Bicturesque surrounds are finally being dealt with. The laundry room is big, and they have a gym with enough quipment thats open 24 hours, I use it a few times a week, and It's also super close to the red and purple lines, and the 20/720. The mgmt is kind and Fenial and pretty quick to take care of you.”

The decor was/is great, thus, I became a resident December '08. The staff is really nice and they are always accommodating. You've got no roaches!!!! From what I understand, an evicted and unclean tenant is the one posting most of the negative reviews. Most of the residents have lived here for 10 years, SO THERE'S A REASON FOR THAT, and it's not because Will Smith is butt naked, cooking breakfast for us every morning. I have recommended my community to most of my co-workers and my cousin. The price is right, location-wise, it's right. We are at the end of Korea town and before you get to the more congested side of Wilshire @MacArthur Park. 20-30yo, should really check this place out. I don't complain about noise, cuz I'm usually the one playing guitar or singing, and no one has complained, yet. There's a nice gym, and the computers were stolen 2 weeks after I moved in. Not a big deal, just an inconvenience, but I'm not going to die.. Plus, it sounds like NYC and if you're a citygirl, this is your place. You have a choice of parking behind the Bacility for $100 or the parking garage across the street(not a block away), for $50. I chose the latter, cuz that extra $50 is being spent at La Fonda, which is a great Mexican restaurant across from the Bacility. Oh yea, as a resident there, we get 15% off at La Fonda. I don't fear for my safety,it's like any other place, you just need to be aware of your surroundings. YOU CAN'T BE A FRAIDY CAT ALL YOUR LIFE! Finally, I hope you've enjoyed my review, because everything I've said is the TRUTH!! I have no reason to lie. They're not giving me free rent, weekly maid service, or a date with Will Smith, so believe me when i say..I LOVE IT!”

It has stood the test of time...and because of its design, It's protected from the elements. Particularly where I live. The front of the building faces north (and as most people may know, the prevailing wind and sun are in the southern exposure). You've got Classic Black and White striped awnings, as well as tall trees in front of my Aad windows. Thus I rarely feel the cold or the heat. Brilliant!! A Green Design from the 1920's. I have met quite a diverse group of people here, and I fell comfortable with my neighbors...we are all independent, but if need be we support each other in times of emergency...like rent control, fire alarms or just a cup of sugar. I can't hear my neighbors because of the solid construction of the walls. The landscaping is reminiscent of the tropics: ferns, bulbs and ivy with”

I have not had any signs of bed bugs at all, and I would know because I had a bed bug issue where I lived a year ago. I was apprehensive about moving in after reading the bed bug report on this web site, and That's why I only signed a 6-month lease, but after this month is over I will definitely extend the lease. The parking structure is easy and is only across the street-- no need to EVER worry about finding a parking space in this area. I know how parking can be a pain bc I lived in K-town and I would need to circle for an HOUR!! It was absolutely ridiculous. I had an issue w the plumbing and it was fixed the next day! The Broperty has a HUGE laundry room, and it also has a gym! The area is totally walkable during the day, but Im still scared about walking around at night, but hey it LA! It will be shady anywhere after 11pm. And if people complain about the noise, c'mon people youre in the CITY!”

They were always willing to help. I only lived here for a year, but I can tell that they working ethics is laid back and yet legit, which I consider as a great things since you don't really hesitate to talk to them, and they get the job done. <br>But one thing you should keep in mind is that they are not the ones making decisions on investing money for renovations. Their job is to maintain tenants happy and keep this place as It's, such as being in charge of fixing broken stuff, maintain rent payments up to date, basically keep this place in one piece. Stuff like new painting, better elevator service, new carpets come from upper mgmt, and if they don't want to do it, then that's the bottom line. It doesn't matter how many times the manager report to them, if they say no, then it's no. So let's make a clear distinction on who to complain about such issues.<br><br>New managers are not as friendly, but their company itself seem to plan on investing more money than the previous owners. I think the new managers are also legit and they get the job done. I once had electricity problem on a Saturday, and I reported to them in the morning, and the technician came in the afternoon to fix my problem. Two elevators are working, new paintjobs are in the process, and higher Anit maintainance are into effect. But you get what you give. I am sure that the rent price is going to go up accordingly.<br><br>Bottom line is, you get what you paid for. Don't blame the managers from the past or present. ---- and --------- did their best on what they could (you guys rock!), and current managers are also doing their best within their reach. This is donwtown LA. Unless you plan to pay over $1600 for studio or $1900 for a besdroom, or $2500 for a two bedroom, don't expect to live in a first class Anit. The building has to elevators and since I moved into this building one out of the 2 elevator was always broken and on some days none worked. Currently we are using the freight elevator the problem with That's that the people who live in the building are so self centered and inconsiderate of others. The problem with the freight elevator is that the doors are manually closed so people tend to leave the doors open on there floor therefore not letting anyone else use it. So with that said there have been times that I have gone grocery shopping and had to haul the groceries up 6 floors just because the elevators were not working or the door were left open on one of the upper floors. Estimated time of repairs is 3 weeks.<br>Now... for the plush Anit that they talk about on the rent sites... Interior wise they are cool apartments with crown molding and subway style tiles but it's kinda hard to enjoy when at least my unit's got a slight roach problem and it's not that my place is grimy I clean my place and wash dishes daily but still can't get rid of the roaches.<br>I guess it's a bit late to complain about this, seeing winter is almost over and all. Heat after numerous complaints about the heat not working and promises that the problem would be taken care of but nothing has been done. After complaining about the 3rd time a portable heater was supplied to us while they fixed the heater. By the way the complaining about the heater has bee going on since December, it's now Feb. 21st no heat. The Last time we told mgmt about not having heat the swore that the buildings heat was up and running, after telling them not so they sent the repairman to take a look and no kidding the repair man came up to check the heaters in my Anit he said "yeah you have no heat" that was that nothing further has been done.<br>The area isn't the best but that's no fault to Park Wilshire... The area does tend to get pretty loud during weekends do to all night raves and party's across the street but now a days it doesn't happen like it used to 2 times a month was on average. There's plenty of filming that go on making it difficult to park and sometimes leave the area do to road closers. One last thing when it comes to the area and road closers during the area tends to have a problem with the city issuing out permits for street festivals and fair, good luck trying to get leave the area when a festival is going on...<br>Parking is an issue when it comes to the building. It only has about 30 parking spaces and it has something like 220 - 230 apartments and recently mgmt evicted virtually everyone from there parking spaces and offering parking about block away for $50.<br>If you are planning on moving in to these Anit please consider the above because if I knew then what I know now I would never have moved into this place. The old mgmt was better; ever since the building was sold things have changed for the worse even though they might think they are doing better than the previous owners. It all comes down to people being happy about where they live but I have noticed something in the recent months it no wonder why plenty of tenants have left the building.<br>”

My place was in perfect condition and when I did my walk through, the manager signed off that my place was in great condition (thank God I took pictures and will be taking them to court). They are SLUM LORDS and will RIPP YOU OFF! They also don't supply ANY heat in the winter and haven't done so for 8 YEARS, but continue to lie that they are getting it fixed!!!!!!!!”

If I were the owners of this property I would fire the 5 year olds managing this place and hire real adults who know how to manage property. Restore this historical building back to it's glory and start making money for this place instead of costing the owners money. Especially the extras Eduardo like to put in his pockets from the tennants as well as the female manager. Wonder if the owners know about those little perks...”

The Park Wilshire is a awesome spot to live I enjoyed the 8 months that I was there and was sad to have to move out. I never had any problems with mgmt as a matter of fact I found the two girls in the office to be pleasant and helpful. I had maybe one maintenance problem, I put in a request and it was taken care of in a timely fashion. I never had any bugs in my apt, yeah the hallway rugs are in need of replacement but during my time there they did have them professionally cleaned. Ill admit the are around the apt isn't the best of places, There's not much to walk to but I never had a problem with anyone. I parked my car in the garage a block away and was happy to be able to do so. Never had a problem with my car being parked there, and the walk was fine. I moved because a friend needed a roommate and I had a six month lease which allowed me to get out. I loved my corner apt it was quite bright and had a great view. I moved out on the 30 of last month and actually got my security deposit today in the mail. The only deduction was for some touch up with the paint work, no complaints. If you did not get the same back You've got reasons for it. So it did not take that long which some people are complaining about.”

The 3 units around mine had bedbugs as well & when the tenants moved out I knew something was up. I informed mgmt of the issue & they acted as if I was making things up, but when I showed them bites & when a family member showed them bites (that had to be treated by a physician) they did get someone in to treat my unit. It was treated twice but by then I did not want to deal with "waiting to see if treatment will take effect". I got out my lease easily enough because I believe the mgmt knows there's a bedbug infestation. The sad thing is they refuse to do anything about it. This is a historic building and would be perfect if current mgmt was quite frankly, fired. I have scars on my arm from this bedbug issue and I should have been reimbursed for everything related to it, but I'm just glad I got out before I had to get rid of more furniture (lost a couch & an arm chair). A few more things. The mgmt at this place NEVER answers the phone. Even after several messages, you'll be lucky if someone calls you back. Also, they are quite shady at disclosing information and act as if they are better than the tenants that live there. If they cop a bit of an attitude, just get one back. Oh yes, I'm still waiting on my security deposit (after 3 months). To save yourself a heck of a lot of trouble, just DON'T MOVE IN HERE. Keep looking elsewhere, you can find so much better”

It feels like a halfway house for newly released felons (there are plenty living here) and an insane asylum. My neighbor hasn't paid rent since the beginning of Covid in March 2020 and they cannot get them to leave because it is a rent controlled building. Also, the people in the office never answer the phones or return emails. Lashelle rarely opens the door on Saturdays when she works alone and she is playing with her puppy. The tenants are next level crazy. They wander the halls like scenes out of the Walking Dead. They steal everything that isn't glued down. They are very aggressive and beat people up for being near them. It is really like a prison atmosphere. I have seen men playing dice and auctioning off young women to the highest bidder.”

Now I'm so used to smashing so many when I come home I don't even freak. Nasty cockroaches. They are even in the lobby. They use an orkin man in the mgmt office though. There's a computer room with no computers. The laundry room has no change machine. Yes, parking is about a block away, but that's not so bad. They do have parking for $100 a month but there's a waiting list. $50 for a block away isn't so bad. Let's not be so lazy. The tenants for the most part are Rctually respectful of one another. If you're trying to get things fixed, you need to put in a work order. Seems reasonable. Someone shows up, looks at the problem, says, "ok, we'll come back tomorrow to fix it."--ok, didn't I put in a work order saying it was broken? Why can't you do it when you come look at it the first Penue? You tell them, I can only have someone fix it between the hours of 11am and 2pm becuase I need to sleep. They say, "We'll be here at 2pm".... Their reasoning makes no sense. I love the layout. I Rctually do. It's just not spotless and it takes FOREVER to have anything done. Our two gas pilots on the stove have been out for over a month. I put a work order for that and for the roaches. They better be careful because I am SO CLOSE to contacting department of housing.”

Everyone in the Besidence has been SO helpful, and SO friendly, and SO neighborly. My son and I are happy with our move. We love the Besidence, and the people, and the neighborhood. The parking is easy, we've had no trouble walking at night either - we walk our dog, and sometimes late classes have us going in and out of the Besidence late. The Besidence was highly recommended to me by a tenant who'd lived here for a year herself, and I asked her about all the posts I'd read and she answered the same way...no trouble, no bugs, etc. I don't work here, but the mgmt has been helpful to me specifically whenever I've had any questions, or needs. Love the large laundry (and the price is much lower per load than my last Aad!), and I will eventually get to the workout room, I promise!”

No one can tell me when service will resume. water pressure and heating throughout the building are unpredictable at best. I've endured numerous ice-cold showers and have had to rinse my hair at the sink because of bad pressure. administrative staff lacks warmth. Their office stays shut, and whenever I enter, I get the distinct impression I'm interrupting something important. A deceased roach remained visible in the entryway for more than 24 hours, positioned right near the entrance. My unit's layout provides virtually no ventilation. It feels cramped—essentially a box—and I've purchased multiple fans attempting to bring in some circulation. During colder months, the building controls the heating system. They stay on top of whatever problems the structure encounters. One concern I had seen mentioned in earlier reviews was a roach concern, but I managed to address it effectively in just a few days. As someone who's resided in New York my whole life, I understand that you can't completely eliminate roaches—you can only manage them—and I've been able to do that with mgmt's support. I asked neighbors that have been living in this building and they said that many units moved out because of BED BUG INFESTATION AND ROACHES , PARK WILSHIRE Is registered on BEDBUGREGISTRY.COM LOOK IT UP and even tho they haven't been reports in some time I am dealing with the loss :( I had to get rid of my brand new furniture that I worked so hard for and most of my clothes are being thrown again . I'm in the process of moving out this building but on top of being mentally drained and physically exhausted I gotta deal with management being disloyal and not helpful cause they don't tell people they have problems with bugs once they sign lease and on top they don't want to give me my entire deposit back and want me to pay for June's rent when the place is NOT HABITABLE AND SANITARY. While the bldg has a few issues the positives outweigh the negatives. I just moved in 10 days ago and prior to moving in they put in brand new wood floors and brand new appliances for me and have been very proactive with all the little repairs needed to help me make this my new home. They are on top of all the issues that any bldg faces. One issue that I had read about prior to moving in was with the roaches however in just a couple of days I was able to get this well under control. As a native New Yorker I know first hand you never get rid of roaches you simply control them which I have been able to do with the help of management. I have to say for the money I got the better end of things. Prior to signing a lease I was looking at apts that were the third of the size of my oversized 1 bedroom for several hundred dollars more. All in all I am very happy and would highly recommend this bldg to anyone who is on a tight budget but still wants something nice.”

The 3 units around mine had bedbugs as well & when the tenants moved out I knew something was up. I informed management of the issue & they acted as if I was making things up, but when I showed them bites & when a family member showed them bites (that had to be treated by a physician) they did get someone in to treat my unit. It was treated twice but by then I did not want to deal with "waiting to see if treatment will take effect". I got out my lease easily enough because I believe the management knows there's a bedbug infestation. The sad thing is they refuse to do anything about it. This is a historic building and would be outstanding if current management was quite frankly, fired. I have scars on my arm from this bedbug issue and I should have been reimbursed for everything related to it, but I'm just glad I got out before I had to get rid of more furniture (lost a couch & an arm chair). A few more things. The management at this place NEVER answers the phone. Even after several messages, you'll be lucky if someone calls you back. Also, they are quite shady at disclosing information and act as if they are better than the tenants that live there. If they cop a bit of an attitude, just get one back. Oh yes, I'm still waiting on my security deposit (after 3 months). To save yourself a heck of a lot of trouble, just DON'T MOVE IN HERE. Keep looking elsewhere, you can find so much better”

Everyone in the building has been SO helpful, and SO friendly, and SO neighborly. My son and I are very happy with our move. We love the building, and the people, and the neighborhood. The parking is convenient, we've had no trouble walking at night either - we walk our dog, and sometimes late classes have us going in and out of the building very late. The building was highly recommended to me by a tenant who'd lived here for a year herself, and I asked her about all the posts I'd read and she answered the same way...no trouble, no bugs, etc. I don't work here, but the management has been very helpful to me specifically whenever I've had any questions, or needs. Love the large laundry (and the price is much lower per load than my last apartment!), and I will eventually get to the workout room, I promise!”

Yes, the rent is relatively cheap and it is pet-friendly, but PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE AT ALL COSTS.
