Trojan Plaza was the first place I stayed after coming to the US, so I had a lot of worries and hesitations in the beginning. However, the place turned out to be extremely nice, clean and well-maintained with wonderful personnel. The on-site manager, Chris is very responsible, professional, and friendly. Whenever I had some random question or an issue, I just texted him and got a reply in a couple of minutes and most of the problems would be solved in a day. Also, as it was my first time in the US, I did not know that place would be unfurnished. Chris seeing my surprised face calmed me down and provided most of the furniture I need for free. I really liked my experience in my first year, so decided to stay for the 2nd year too. So, I summarize the pros and cons of staying at Trojan Plaza: Pros: 1. Very affordable price for a studio in the USC neighborhood. 2. Safe and convenient location: within DPS zone, 10 min walk to USC campus, 5-10 min walk to groceries like Ralphs, Target, Trader Joe's, 10 min drive to DTLA. 3. Extremely friendly, professional, and nice personnel. 4. Pool, basketball court, patio area. Cons: 1. The room gets hot in the summer and very cold in the winter despite the okayish outside temperatures. 2. Occasionally, there are loud parties as the place is the USC neighborhood where most of the students stay.

I really want to say it's a great honor to find trojan plaza. First of all, it's the most beautiful building on Ellendale street, the colorful flowers on the gate are the first reason that brings me to this place. Then, the whole community is so quiet and safe, which you can see the yellow-coat staffs and the school police every night. Last but not least, the manager, Chris, definitely is the core of this apartment, he always walks his cute puppy every morning and says hi to each tenant he met. You can trust him not only as a responsible manager but also as a real friend!

I had lived in Trojan Plaza for two years. It is close to USC campus and groceries etc. I enjoy living here and feel safe and happy staying here. The manager is really helpful and available when I need help, really a nice guy. Recommend this place for someone who's looking for a private space to live!

This is probably your best bet when it comes to studios nearby SC. It's cost efficient (for a studio), but it doesn't have a lot of ammendities. The location of the apartment is arguably one of the best - close by downtown and K-town. All in all, I want to give my utmost regards to the manager at Trojan Plaza. He's probably one of the biggest reason I extended my lease for another year. Great guy, quick on his feet, and always available. The great atmosphere of the apartment and its tennants are made by the manager. Highly recommend

When I was looking online for a place around USC to live, Trojan Plaza caught my attention because of the great reviews about the manager Chris (and also the great price). I have been living at Trojan Plaza almost for 2 years now and I can assure you that the reviews are true. He is very kind, responsive, extremely handy, and always there when I need him. It means a lot to me because I used to live in a huge apartment complex and it sometimes took days to get a response from maintenance and they also had to be contacted during business hours. But at Trojan Plaza, since Chris is on the premises, it is easy to get in contact with him and he always has a speedy response. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Additionally, I live in a deluxe studio and I have plenty of room for a table, bed, sofa, coffee table, TV stand, and a TV without feeling cramped. If you are looking for a more intimate living arrangement that is on the quiet side, this place is for you.

I have lived at Trojan Plaza for almost 2 years. I needed a private place where I could work a full time job from home. I spend several hours a day on the phone with clients which makes a quiet environment a paramount requirement for me. I have never once had any disruptions during the work day OR at night when studying for grad school. If you reviews about Trojan Plaza, you will no doubt come across people exclaiming how amazing Chris is. He lives on premise, is incredibly attentive, will never you leave hanging, and is an all around awesome guy. Once you meet Chris you will immediately understand that he takes pride in his job and truly cares about making Trojan Plaza the place you are grateful to live at. The complex is always kept in top shape, you will see people here every week making sure the landscape is tended to and the complex is clean. I cannot stress this enough, if you happen to be lucky enough to find a vacancy here, do not pass it up. As I said I work from home, so I am always around. I will be here until at least August 2016. If you happen to stop by to check out the complex with Chris, ask him to come say hi.

As soon as I met Chris, the resident manager, I knew my daughter would be in great hands. Being a mother and a little timid of my daughter's first time living alone in addition dealing with the transitional period of being a sophomore transfer - worries soon vanished completely. Also being a nagging and a slightly paranoid mother, I continously baraded Chris with questions, and never once did he make it seem like I was annoying or it was a burden. He has a certain energy to him that makes you feel instantly calm and secure - perfect for a student who is first starting out. My daughter has done nothing but rave about her experience. There have been few things that needed to be fixed - and when they did, it was fixed within a day. He is always available when called and goes the extra mile to make you feel okay. When I asked her about the actual living in the deluxe studio itself, she said "it's pretty quiet, besides living next to the basketball court, I would rarely hear any noise otherwise, the apartment is clean, spacious and in very close proximity to campus. I still feel very involved and not distant from USC - which is perfect for me since I'm new. I wish there were washing machines inside the units, but hey I cant have everything." So, overall, it has been a great renting and living experience renting, in me and my daughter's perspective respectively. Would 110% recommend!

My son lived here for a short period of time over the summer. I can't say enough good things about Chris the landlord, and the overall experience. Chris was helpful, detailed and followed through on everything. My son had a great, safe experience and the apartment was exactly as advertised. We were thrilled with Trojan Apartments!

I lived in Queen Anne for a year, and it was great! I loved the layout of the apartment (very spacious and two story) and that the building was gated. Also, the onsite laundry and parking was very convenient. Site Manager Chris was awesome - always ready to help with any problem that comes up and very willing to work with your schedule.

I lived in the Trojan Plaza for one year, and it was a great deal. It was a great value considering you get onsite laundry, parking, a/c, a pool, and a gated community. I loved that my car was covered during the day from the California sun. The on site manager Chris is incredible. He was always friendly and attentive to problems of ALL kinds that occurred during my stay at the trojan plaza. The apartment was freshly remodeled when I moved in and all of the appliances including air conditioning worked well. I would recommend the Trojan Plaza to a friend.
