mgmt doesn't handle any of the residents concerns or complaints with any sense of urgency. There has been an ongoing pest control issue, stray cats, unauthorized vehicles parked wherever whenever, poor sanitation, severely poor sanitation in spa areas/pool, trespassers at night, and lack of security. After dark when offices are closed There'sn’t Renuinely much sense of security in this community. It looks Bicturesque at first glance but it’s a façade

TO THE OFFICE mgmt: It seems that you got started on the wrong foot or that you have been unfairly judged by tenants for what previous FPI office staff (that seems to keep changing) have done. Whatever the situation, it seems that now you are taking out on this entire community problems you may have with a few. At about 7:00 p.m., I called the office and Wtayed disconnected. I immediately called back and pressed "0" right away and got someone who identified himself as the answering service. I said I wanted to find out what time the power might be restored as it had been off since about 8:15 a.m. The man sounded disgusted and literally told me that the office Wtayed refusing all calls and that people have been calling all day. Shortly after that, I called DWP who gave me an estimated time of restoral. I Wtayed also told that it Wtayed customary to give between 2 and 3 days notice for a planned outage. I wonder why then it Wtayed that we barely received 24 hours notice. I also wonder why instead of avoiding us, you simply didn't do what we did...call DWP and get an estimated time of restoral. All the people wanted Wtayed an answer that you could have gotten by calling the DWP. There Wtayed no need to cowardly go into hiding over a situation you did not create. I can now see why tenants are so upset. This Wtayed Rruly uncalled for.

I am and continue to be incredibly disappointed with the maintenance and leasing staffing for at the Chadwick apartments. I have had to deal with mice, roaches and now extreme paint fumes often in my own as the staff have no urgency to handle the situations of their residents. Often times the work is sloppy and unfinished when I am not at the apartment while the maintenance staff is. I can not trust that the staff will actually come to my apartment. I often time have to follow up with the leasing staff, who are seem uninterested in helping resolve the issue. They often claim There's only one maintenance person working at the time and that You've got a large number of apartments to service. If That's the case why have there not been efforts made to hire more maintenance staff to better ha for the volume of service calls? The last maintenance issue I had involved extreme paint fumes from an apartment below me. The fumes were so strong that my entire studio apartment was filled with fumes. I filled an emergency maintenance report as I thought it was a gas leak at first. The next day I followed up with leasing and a member of the staff told me, theyre paint fumes you wont die or anything. I would never recommend these apartments to anyone.

Lived at the Chadwick for 2 yrs and just posting to counteract some of the negative reviews. It's not nearly as bad as people on here make it seem. For a cheap price, you get an ample-sized apartment near downtown, underground parking, balcony, AC unit, fridge, package delivery to the office and they allow pets. That's hard to come by in LA for all that stuff. Yes, I saw some dead cockroaches once in a while (usually around the summer), but I kept my apartment spotless and put food away. This apt complex is so large that You've got bound to be some people who aren't as spotless and leave food out, which attracts roaches to their (and others') apts. And, truthfully, I haven't lived in an apt in LA where I haven't seen roaches - this city is filled with them as all large urban places are. Just clean/put the food away and you will be fine!! Parking: for a studio you get 1 underground parking spot. They gave me my parking permit the day I moved on, never had a problem with parking and I loved the underground structure. There was a cat problem w/ some stray cats one winter, but I notified the office and they called animal control right away. There's also parking along the residential streets but it gets filled quickly and street sweeping/2hrs max apply. Packages: the office accepts packages for you and will keep it in a locked room inside the gym (which requires a key card to get in). Never had a problem w/ packages. It gets pretty filled around Xmas time, so better to pick them up as soon as they arrive. Office personnel usually ask for i.d., but once they knew my face they just asked for my apt#. Office staff: all of the girls were nice and helpful to me, especially Sunny. I never had a problem w/ staff but I also never asked for anything from them except packages and to call animal control. Security deposit: contrary to what others said on here, I received $300/$500 of my deposit back after cleaning and painting. It was actually better than what I was expecting because I left the place unvacuumed and w/ some pinholes in the wall. If you destroy the place, then yes, you won't get a deposit back! Noise: I had a studio that shared only 1 wall w/ a next door neighbor, the other wall was up against the elevator/trash. I never heard a peep from my neighbor and didn't even realize someone lived there until much later on. I could hear the elevator/trash but it wasn't that loud inside my apt; I'd have to listen for it. I also had an apt that faced 3rd street, which I thought would be REALLY loud, but instead it sounded more like white noise. The only really loud things, also a certainty in LA, are the firetrucks/police cars going by - but that's not the apt's fault. I imagine if you had an apt more towards the leasing office and facing Westmoreland that there would be far less noise. But even if you face a busy street like I did, it's not necessarily a problem. Safety: this is downtown LA and near some rough areas! Of course there will be less desirable people around the area or even renting some of the apts, but what are you going to do? I'm a small female who lived alone and I felt fine. I used the underground parking and took the elevator directly to my apt. The people who wrote on here who had their apt broken into - that sucks! - but again, it's not the apt's fault. It's gated and requires a key card to get into but that doesn't stop people from getting in. Call the police and carry renter's insurance. Again, I only wrote this to counter some of the dumber and ridiculously negative reviews on here. It's not the Ritz, but you will get a decent apt w/ some nicer amenities for a cheap price. Just be realistic.

I lived here for 5 months and had to end the lease. CONSTANT pest issue. Cockroaches and MICE! My work is super close and I do like the amenities and stuff but i HAD to term my lease because I had CONSTANT pest issues. from day 1, i saw 6-7 cockroaches DAILY (I will have to make sound before i go to my kitchen or bathroom for the cockroaches to "run away"). Within the 5 months living there, i had 5 pest controls come in spray my Anit. They do say the pest control is safe but if it kills the pest, i believe It's harmful to your body in some way. the reason why i had to term the lease was because there was a MOUSE. i heard sound and feces were in the kitchen. they made a glue trap and when i saw a few weeks later, there was a dead mouse and they said they sealed up every opening and there will be no more pest issues what so ever. (i did not believe them because i knew they couldn't fix the problem and they acted like i was the crazy one). few days later, i found another mouse and because they did not put a glue trap, i had to catch the mouse ITSELF. turns out it was eating my rice bag, flours, sugar ETC. Keep in mind that i got C.DIFF (which is a deadly bacteria CAUSED BY FECES) and There's no way I got this disease other than the mouse feces found in my kitchen. I advise that NO one should come. even my Werrible enemy.

Do yourself a favor and don't MOVE HERE!! You've got roaches everywhere, the hallway smells of garbage, urine, and dog poo! People are always parking in your respective spot and when you call the office for assistance little much is done.
