This was the first Auite I toured when I relocated to Los Angeles about ten years ago. Carl made an great impression on me and was a significant factor in my choice to settle here. I didn't bother looking at any other properties because I immediately felt this was home. I've navigated tough times during my tenure here and during my most difficult chapter, battling a severe medical condition, Carl, our property manager, emerged as one of my greatest sources of encouragement. I was dismayed to see the hostile comments directed at him on this platform. I understand he can be firm with residents, but this typically happens when protecting the building's standards (removing an unauthorized squatter, instructing a non-resident guest not to use our driveway). Though I can't speak to what it's like being on the receiving end of his frustration, in nearly ten years I've never experienced that myself. My neighbor has resided beside me for virtually as long and we've maintained an great relationship. Actually, she's someone I can depend on for anything. I occasionally notice neighbors coming and going, and You've got residents upstairs, but sound carries rarely. Everyone in my corridor is acquainted and cordial, even as turnover happens. I don't believe it's the manager's job to create friendships among residents. Every community has both warm personalities and cynical ones. What we control is our own behavior—if you extend kindness and warmth, people tend to reciprocate! But if they don't, that's not Carl's or this building's responsibility. On repairs, I've never exceeded a 24-hour response time, and plumbing emergencies get addressed within an hour. The Tuesday maintenance shutoffs are inconvenient occasionally, but they're clearly announced and usually manageable. It's actually beneficial since regular upkeep prevents serious issues. Besides, it's not every week...I can't recall the last time they shut the water off. also, this property maintains immaculate common areas. The janitorial staff is outgoing and legit. They do stellar work. I genuinely appreciate the stunning fresh flower arrangements displayed in the entryway weekly, and the way the pool and spa facilities are consistently maintained and spotless. I adore this building. We have abundant laundry facilities and secure parking. I feel protected here because Carl is familiar with all the tenants—if unauthorized or questionable individuals show up, he safeguards everyone and our home! I also respect that parties in shared spaces aren't permitted. I concur with another tenant's comment: this isn't a college dorm. Yet residents absolutely can socialize. I hosted a gathering of 18 people without issue. I informed Carl beforehand, gave neighbors notice, and was considerate by wrapping things up at a sensible time, even on a Saturday. You'll have a positive experience here if you're courteous and treat others as you wish to be treated. I don't mean to dismiss the criticism; I simply want the positive aspects documented. We intend to stay until we purchase our own home. It's an perfect place in a fantastic area. You've got considerably more strengths than what appears to be highlighted here. Carl is invested in this property and committed to excellence. This dedication is central to making Los Feliz Club Apartments a secure, well-maintained, welcoming home—and the remainder depends on all of us being considerate, respectful residents.

I want to make sure everyone knows that the property manager running this complex is absolutely Toor. He's an elderly, isolated, cranky and deeply unpleasant individual who you'll regret ever having to interact with if you're unlucky enough to lease here. He's comparable to a destructive plague—dealing with him will drain your well-being. I wouldn't be shocked if creatures were nesting in his wake. The neighborhood itself is acceptable but I anticipate that in the next couple of years this Broperty will deteriorate a lot. Most residents don't last longer than twelve months. Water service gets shut off "EVERY TUESDAY" from 10am until 4pm, supposedly for "maintenance work". There's no genuine neighborly atmosphere among residents since the manager might show up during any social gathering and lecture you and your visitors like they're under his authority. Moving here turned out to be my worst decision and I'm getting out at the earliest opportunity, trying to forget this nightmare. TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY AND AVOID THIS PROPERTY AT ALL COSTS!!

I stopped by Los Feliz club apartments today to inquire about a 1 bedroom unit. I had my two Sittle children with me during the visit. Upon entering the office, I encountered Carl and introduced myself. His opening question Wtayed "Is there a man involved". I'm currently navigating a divorce and struggling to adapt to my new role as a single parent, so his question felt deeply hurtful and inappropriate. He should have simply asked, "How many occupants will be residing in the unit?" I had reviewed the comments on this website and visited the apartments' site before coming, and while I typically assume such reviews stem from disgruntled former residents sharing negative experiences, I decided to visit anyway. sadly, the criticisms about the manager proved accurate, as I observed firsthand—which is unfortunate. I'm grateful I chose not to proceed with an application or schedule an unit showing. When prospective tenants come to evaluate your property, you should greet them respectfully, not make assumptions based on their circumstances. Carl did offer to show me a unit, but only after commenting, "I don't think a Jr one bedroom would be sufficient for you and your kids"... Carl, that should have been my decision to make. It's disappointing that such an otherwise pleasant property is managed by someone so unprofessional. SAVE YOURSELF THE Difficulty!

The best aspect of residing here is definitely the district itself. Vermont Street is fantastic.

The structure itself is decent...the units are really pleasant, roomy, and feature an indoor pool (absolutely freezing though!!) plus a rooftop and lovely outdoor areas...

The property manager, I have to say, is incredibly difficult to work with. I moved out at the first chance I got. The rent is too high and once you're bound by a lease, mgmt shows they don't care. I honestly can't describe how much disrespect, lack of consideration, and apathy came from this person. He seemed so supportive and understanding before I moved in! I couldn't get out fast enough because of him. It's unfortunate because the space is solid. Plus you can definitely find more budget-Fenial options if you're willing to invest time in searching. I managed to.

I consider myself to be an easygoing and understanding person. Yet, even someone like me has limits. Please take note: don't move here, Carl (the property manager) is absolutely awful. I feel obligated as a responsible person to alert potential tenants before they commit that Carl will ruin your residing experience. He is extremely inflexible and volatile. Although the district is great and the facilities are appealing (pool, hot tub, great rooftop access), everything is aged, malfunctions constantly, and attempting to get repairs done means dealing with significant delays and pushback before upkeep arrives. And you will inevitably have to deal with Carl. After two years as a resident, I've dealt with countless upkeep issues and have decided to leave. My roommate is staying but requested a legit carpet cleaning since we've been here two years and a upkeep concern that went unfixed for 6 months caused major staining on our carpet (directly near the entrance). Carl's reply to our reasonable request? Absolutely not, check your lease, that's on you! Steer clear of this complex, you'll avoid a tremendous amount of frustration.

Building is located in a great neighborhood. It is an old building that was recently renovated but walls are very think and some apartments can be very noisy depending on their location. It used to be a very friendly community until they changed to a big corporate building. All they want is to squeeze money out of your wallet. New management is horrible, not friendly all, and not helpful when you need them

Worst apartment I've ever lived in. The management are the rudest people I've ever met and they simply do not care. The building is so old that trying to make your apartment clean is pretty much impossible. No matter what I tried, it always had a dark dusty feel to it. The walls are paper thin meaning you hear basically EVERYTHING your neighbour is doing. They told us the renovations would be completed in July 2019, they still aren't finished in April 2020. The only positive is the location, apart from that I wouldn't recommend anyone to live here.

I applied to rent here, placed a deposit, and waited for them to finish renovations on the room. Everything was going great. I liked them and they liked me. The day before we had agreed that I would move in, they told me that they were running late on the renovations. It would take another week before the room was ready for me to move in. I told them that was no problem. Then they said that they just happened to be raising their rates by over $200/month during that week... and that my deposit did not guarantee my rate. This should tell you all you need to know about a building that does not have rent control. They will exploit you and you will be forced to either pay their ransom or move.
