I must say that at first glance this building really makes a nice impression. I lived at this residence for approximately 9 months as a roommate. During the day hours there isn't much noise, but at night its pretty noisy for the most part. I would say that has a lot to do with its location on a busy street. They keep the building pretty clean and the neighbors aren't very noisy. I believe the rent is too high for what you receive in return. The only amenity that can really be looked at as decent is the gym. I don't think a grill area says much, when you look at other buildings with the same rent rates. I will say that there is much more crime that takes place in the building than you would expect! I would always see notes about unfortunate situations and I left bc I did not like the way that management handled the situations. I found a much more affordable place with much less headache. Advice: Look around first and compare.

We moved here recently, and truly couldn't be more happy. We've lived in other (considered "nicer") apartments in Los Angeles (in Hancock Park even) and nothing compares with the personal management that we receive from Christine. She's amazing. She knows EVERYONE. She's honest and friendly and always on top of ANYTHING that we might need. If there's a problem, she brings it up to us in a very friendly way. When you pass by the office, you actually feel obliged to stop in to say hi... because it would just be rude not to. She really is wonderful and whoever the owners are should take into consideration how important a truly professional and warm manager can make the living experience all the better. We are grateful that we moved here! Thank you!

The place is close to everything you might need and the location is safe. Had a couple of break ins in 2010 and mgmt company stepped right up and made it super safe! it's always clean and the staff is responsive. Betsy and her team are the best, the very best and since the place has 62 units, she knows you personally. I'm having to move and she has set a very high bar to compare to!

The property management company sucks and the manager is totally immature and is always so elusive in answering maintenance questions or other issues dealing with the building...Oh, did I mention that 1 of the two elevators has been broken for 1 YEAR? The only reason I am recommending this is because of the location and Hancock Park has a lot to offer...the previous property manager, Betsy, was fantastic, but this new guy leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to professionalism.

Since the new owners have taken over, there have been some positive changes, unfortunately the management company is not a positive change. Four story building and 4th floor is considered Penthouse requiring a elevator key for entry. Unless your guest want to ride the elevator to the 3rd floor and then walk up a floor, 4th floor residents must go down to lobby to let in friends or delivery people. Why this incovenience for the 4th floor residents when they have to pay more to live on the 4th floor. Ask management a question and they say they'll research and get back to you but they never do. Even though management was notified that entry and exit from Garage would be blocked during a certain time frame for the 2007 marathon, since this blockage was initiated by the City of LA, management didn't think it was their responsibility to notify residents they would be unable to exit or enter due to marathon. Oh yeah, and the building managers change about every three months. The new ones always come without a clue, happy and smiling initially and then they start to avoid you because they still don't know the answers to the questions asked of the old managers. Owner of building leaves brochures in lobby for tenants suggestions and questions - the problem here is they never respond, so why leave brochures giving the impression they care what you think. They just want your money.

I've lived here for years and for the first time, the manager started calling me when I received packages. The previous manager was never there so sometimes my catalog items got sent back. I finally feel like I'm getting my money's worth living here.

I just visited the apartment complex and they did a great job updating the place. They didn't have a two bedroom available for October but I'll defenitely be checking in again to see if anyone moves out. <br><br>It's great that a two bedroom comes with two parking spaces. A lot of other places I looked at charges for parking. The gym looked great.

It's been a nightmare since the owner change in this apartment. The new management has been nothing but rude and unreliable. They are more concentrated in ripping people off with money than imrpoving the apartment condition. They are at crazy rage for kicking all the old tenants out for new tenants who will pay more. The management staff is hardly in the office either and nowhere to be found. Very unresponsive to any and all your calls to the office. If you want to live in a place with no management with high rent, this is the place to be.

The management is careless. MANAGEMENT DOES NOT GIVE A CAT'S (YOU KNOW WHAT) ABOUT ANYTHING. INSTEAD, SHE SMOKES WITH HER FRONT DOOR WIDE OPEN FOR ALL THE TENANTS TO SMELL. Any request for repairs/ replacement will never get done. Most of the tenants's complaints are as follows: RENOVATION IS CONSISTANT. WATER AND GAS SHUT OFF ARE ALMOST EVERY WEEK. YOU WILL NEVER FIND PEACE AND CONVIENIENCE OF THE APARTMENT. ANTS AND BUGS IN THE BUILDING. HUMAN VOMIT IN THE GARAGE AREA. THE BUILDING LIES ON THE BIG STREET OF ROSSMORE, IT IS VERY LOAD EVERY MORNING AND NIGHT, BUS NOICES. THE DEBRIS JUST LIES ON YOUR CARPET FROM THE OUTSIDE. <br><br>NO SECURITY GUARDS!!!! I PAY OVER $1800 FOR AN APARTMENT THAT IS BEING CONTROLLED BY A CAMERA OUT IN THE FRONT DOOR!!!!!!!!!<br><br><br><br>ONE WORD!!!! <br>SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
