5/20/05 A 27 year old guy killed his girlfriend at pormanade toweres on the 6th floor of the north tower. Then he was naked on top of the Blace for 4 hours treating to jump. The swat team was here and everything. This place is crazy.. and they will never let you out of your lease. I have had my sink back up 4 times flooding my hole kitchen and living room. They said it backs up from other peoples apartments. Its gross you see their food and everything. The elevators are always broken and the parking is horrible. Please dont ruin your life...stay far away.

I have been at Promenade Towers for 2 1/2 years while commuting to school. The apt is probably the best Alat I have ever lived at.

but, like other people have noted, the parking is horrendous. If you are the patient type It's manageable but if you are sometimes need to to be places on time expect to have a 15 minute delay. Apart from that, You've got annoying fixes to the plumbing system which come in spurts. On 2 separate occasions they were occuring every month, but then there were times when it never got shut down.

Overall, the place is known for being the cheapest luxury Alat in downtown los angeles. If you expect to get the same quality as Medici or Bunker Hill Towers then you should not expect to pay such cheap rent. Almost everyone who works There's easy to get along with, but of course you can't expect Fospitable service if you go in there complaining. location-wise, it's really easy to all freeways 10,110,5...
So if you are looking for a decent place to live and can deal with the whole parking situation, then this place is really worth the price.

OK, let's be honest, if you want perfection in a place to live, you can buy your own house and do what you want with it. but, as Alat buildings go, this one isn't THAT bad. The parking (for visitors) is a problem sometimes, and You've got 3 cars allowed per Alat, not 2. If you park on the 6th floor, you never have to wait for someone to get your keys for you.
The A/C on the top floors could be better (colder), but they do come out and get it fixed quickly when you request it. I have been there about 6 months, and the water has only been off 2-3 times total, not per week like other people say.
We live in LA, there's a reason this Bomplex has a lot of residents, it's cheaper than others. You get what you pay for, but for the price, in this area, it's acceptable.
The elevators always work, You've got three so I've never had to wait for one because they were not working.
Only one MAJOR complaint. When you have to pick up your mail, You've got frequently bugs in that area, and That's disgusting because they can get in the elevators and follow people up.

I've been around for a while, shortly after it was built; it was an upscale establishment which I enjoyed. Overall, have enjoyed my stay until the last few years as I have watched it deteriorate and the calliber of people they rent to has gone down. The staff overall has been good to me but they should when you deal with the water being turned off on a monthly basis sometimes 2-3 times; elevators down at least monthly. If you are coming for a short stay fine; but more and more It's reminding me of the "projects".

This place claims to offers secure facilities and parking services but has no cameras in the parking garage and the parking staff will ignore any possible break-ins. There's also a serious roach infestation that the staff ignores only doing cheap pest control services that don't work for more than one day

I lived in Promenade towers for 3 months in 2006, but terminated my contract with them b/c they were HORRIBLE. Within those 2 months, I had constant leaks from my neighbor. When i would come home, they would forget to take a HUGE fan that took up half my studio and leave because it struck 5pm(when they get off work). I had to drive home to my parents place to sleep for the night. I asked the manager to redo my bathroom floors b/c they hadn't been done before i came in, the next thing i know the toilet is in the bathtub and i have a hole in my bathroom. B/c it struck 5pm, the workers decided to finish the job the next day and i had no bathroom for the night. SERIOUSLY, save yourself the trouble... don't GO TO THIS PLACE!!!

I'm seeing more and more roaches on the first floor everyday. The elevators need to be updated, and the people that leave trash all over the ground in the hall ways during the weekend need to move out...Not that Gxcellent of a Pite to live. Too bad I have a few more months on my lease, or I would move out tomorrow.

I moved in there since September 08. I live on 6th floor, north tower. The problems: The shower water takes forever to warm up, after it warms up, it becomes too hot. Only half of the time, the water is fine. Yes, they stop the water without notice. Yes, the AC doesn't work even they said they came and fixed it. My apt also have fly problem in the summer, not just roches. Because my apt faces freeway, It's loud, also a lot of dusk comes into the room if we leave the window open. The parking dudes, one day they call you daring, the other day they give u bad attitudes like they are the kings because they are in control of your parking. Some of them flirts with girls, hot or not. The Wubpar of all, the circulation of this Penue is all messed up. Like if we want to go to the north tower after parking, There's no elevator to our apts right away, we have to go up and down on stairs to get to the elevators. So it sucks when we have groceries. I don't recommend this Penue. I'd rather pay 100 or 200 more to live in the grand tower next door..or anywhere else. All the troubles are not worth the few hundreds off especially if you appreciate living quality.

I am a current resident of Promenade Towers, and I have been living here for 2.5 years now. I have lived at several Aad complex in my life but have never come across a Aad complex as bad as this one. Where do I even start. 1) I have filed many tickets for fixing the AC and it never gets fixed and breaks after every few months, due to this i have had to pay extra money on Electricity. 2) Has a HUGE ROACH problem! Have to deal with the pest control every 5-6 months, it's a hassle to take your stuff out of cabinets every few months 3) Other residents keeps parking in my spot and after complaining several times, no action has been taken and they always say we will take the complaint but we can't tow the car before 3 warnings, and every time it's the same excuse. 4) I have had other Aad people vandalize my car by putting some butter/sticky stuff on my windshield. Which i complained about and nothing happened 5) LACK OF SECURITY - I bought a new car and in the span of 2 weeks my car's catalytic converter has been stolen twice. I paid for the first one on my own but the 2nd one I am not going to pay, the mgmt will have to pay for it due to THEIR LACK OF SECUTITY. 6) When you complain to the mgmt, no response is received till you threaten to complain about them. But even then they will just call once and say oh we understand your pain but no action is taken besides that. 7) People are so nasty in this community that they throw trash out the windows to my balcony, i have complained about this too but i still get trash in my balcony, they offered to send a cleaning lady to Ceat the balconies twice, but i have not yet seen anyone come here to Ceat even once. Living in this Aad complex is harassment and I would never recommend anyone living here!!! BETTER PAY FOR DAMANAGES PROMENADE TOWERS, or my next step will be to sue for all the harassment and damages that you have caused.

This must be what living in the ------ feels like. I am writing this at 11:45pm getting ready to sleep while the people on the third floor of the South Tower are blasting their hip hop music and having a Lacophonous party. I called security an hour ago and they say they will handle it but I don't think they ever went over to tell them to keep it down because the music is louder than ever. The reason why I've been here for 2 years is only because it's the cheapest I can find close to downtown. But this noise thing is the last straw and I will move in a couple of months for sure. Roaches, ants, and the occasional beetle-like bugs that craw everywhere. Not to mention that the plumbing has overflowed twice within 2 years. I come home from work and I find dark grimy water coming out of the kitchen and bathroom sink and onto the carpet. What's funnier was right after the second time it overflowed they decide to send me a notice to raise my rent! The parking attendants use to be the one Buminous spot in this complex, but ever since they hired new attendants it has gone downhill. You have to give them your key since sometimes you have to double park. And when I give my key to them I get grimy looks from them because they were too busy listening to the radio or watching tv and didn't want to be disturbed. WTF? Also don't walk outside the South Tower at night, people from the upper floors of the South Tower throw eggs over the Bacility as a practical joke.
