I moved into the Commodore two and a half years ago and dealt with the two worst managers ever. 7 months ago a new manager moved into the building, and from the first day Manager Mark began working to clean and turn this building around. The building is an old one built in 1926, there are issues with the water having to be turned off for the whole building when working on individule apts are being worked on, and certain times the power tends to go out. Since Mark came to the building those problems have become less and less. I asked him one day why that was, and he informed me that since he learned that none of the units had their own water shut of valves, he has made it his mission to install in each unit he is able to work in to put water shut off valves in each unit so that the whole building doesnt have to suffer when working on a specific unit. The friendlyness of this new manager in comparrison to Travis who was truly a horrible person, makes me so happy i decided to stay when i had been planning to move out. Mark truly goes out of his way to say hello to each and every tenant, as well as making himself available to help serve the needs of the tenants, like getting us laundry cards when needed, being a spokesperson between the managment company and the tenants. I've lived in many different buildings and have never seen a harder working apt. manager who cleans the building himself, vaccuming, changing trash and even began a recycling box for all the papers people used to throw out from advertaizments. He's even gone out of his way to make the building safe by installing cameras, secruity lights in the parking lot, and gates that close making me and other females feel safe about living here. I've never written a review before, but felt this was something i needed to do because he has made this a better building to live in. I just want to say thank you Mark on behalf of all of us at the Commodore for making this feel like a place we love to call home.

I've lived here for many years now, have seen 5 managers come and go. None have put any work into improving the property. This has all changed since the recent manager moved into the building in march. The feeling in the building has changed on levels I never would have thought possible. No one used to talk to each other, until now. He has created an environment where we all say hi to one another and actually stand around in the lobby and hallways talking to each other. After living here for 6 years I finally know my niegbors names. He recently threw a party for the building so that all could come and mingle and meet. He has changed a huge locked up space into a beautiful room where acting groups practice, music students shoot videos, photographers take pictures of models. He has brighten up the building with plants and decorations. Even threw an Easter egg hunt for the children in the building. I've never brought company over as I was embarrassed of the way the building looked. Now I bring friends over who are wowed by the cleaniness and the beauty of the building. I'm finally proud to live here.

The beautifying of this property since the new Manager Mark has moved in is extrodinarily exceptional. Not only has he cleaned out the bad tenants, he works hard to clean the building and improve maintainace issues, as well as the exterior of the property. He paints, has planted flowers, grass, trees. He has added pictures to modernize the look and feel of the lobby and other common areas. He has turn tge building into a friendly inviroment where neighbors now talk to one another. He has added cameras and secured the premises with doors that lock, gates that work and a feeling of safety for the well being of all who live there. There may not be a pool, or gym yet, but he makes up for it with his caring ways.

I moved into the Commodore in December of 2011. When I first moved in, the building wasn't in great shape, but the location and size of the 1 bedroom had me sold. The manager Travis, did nothing to keep the grounds looking good. Then 3 months ago, a new manager, Mark, arrived. I have lived in many apartment complexes through the years and this guy is one of the best apartment managers i have seen. He has completely cleaned this place up and really goes to bat for the tenants. The "lounge area" when you enter was filth when I moved in. Mark had it all restored to the way it would have been, back in the 1920's, when the commodore was a hotel. Mark has really changed the dynamic of the building and has done a fantastic job cleaning it all up. The property management company should do everything they can to keep this guy and make him happy! ***I gave "staff" a five star rating, but that is only because of Mark, the manager.

The energy in the building is one so positive that i forgot how horrible it was before he came here.. From all of us at the Commodore, THANK YOU MARK!!!

I've lived her for over ten years, and in that time I have seen many managers come and go...those managers had nothing on the new guy...Mark has come into this building like a tornado sweeping the dirty, filthy past away, and taking the Commodore to new heights of excellence. He has painted, cleaned, fixed the building, and turned it into a place I'm honored to call home. The hard work and love he pours into our building is surpassed by none. I'm finally happy to call this place home, and look forward to all the other improvements he's begun. Mark is truly restoring this building to its original glory... Thank you for everything Mark, from all of us at the Commodore...
