awful place to live. like a frat house but way not worth the price. if you like loud, younger aged people sleeping in hallways and trash from a weekend of parties all over halls this is the place for you. mgmt has no compassion for false info given to tenant before lease and when approached to want to leave said its not their issue. can't disclose that info is all they say. awful awful awful

The manager is kind and neighbors are nice. I can use pool gym whenever I want. And the place is close by Hollywood so I can go shopping and walk around. The most best thing is safety. You've got many security mans in the building and they always keep the safety.

Don't be fooled by the looks & location of The Victor. It's the most awful place I have ever lived in my life! After living there for less than 2 months I was already wanting desperately to get out of my lease & move anywhere but here. (BTW, every other building around the neighborhood is less expensive & just as nice if not nicer.) I read these reviews before moving in & thought that there were a few people that just had a bad experience. I was wrong. don't LIVE AT THE VICTOR!!!!!!! There really are drug dealers that live on every floor of the building. The first floor really does smell like weed 24/7. The garage really does smell like something died in it. People really do party, scream & yell all night long. The residents really are immature, grimy & lazy. Apparently, walking down the hall way to the trash shoot is far too difficult so they just throw their trash in the hallway or down the stairs. You've got empty beer bottles in the back stair way that have been there for over 2 months now. It's not at all secure. The doors are always broken & propped open. One nice thing is that there's a sauna on every floor but the 4th. They have washers & dryers in them & they're labeled "Laundry Room" but they are hotter than hell! I don't even know where to begin w/ how horrendously awful the mgmt/office staff is! First off, everything that everyone else has already said is 100% true. With the exception of Judith, they are RUDE and don't give a flying ---- about the residents. They are out the door at 6pm SHARP every day. I went to pick up a package that was dropped off in the office (since I am one of the few residents that actually has a JOB I am never home during office hours) I got there at 6:01 and caught 2 of the managers as they were walking out of the office door. I asked if they could grab my package for me quickly & they claimed to "not have the keys." Really? How are you locking the door -----?!? THEN, the #1 reason I moved to The Victor was b/c I was told it was perfectly fine to have my dog there. Well, one month later they put notes on everyone's door saying all dogs over 30 lbs needed to find a new home or the dog & the resident would be evicted. AND THEN, people have guests park in the garage ALL THE TIME. This doesn't bother me b/c no one has ever parked in my spot & it really doesn't matter since the lot is more than half empty b/c no one lives there anymore. Well this week I am driving a rental car b/c mine is in the shop. When I went into the garage this morning, I discovered that the stupid ------- -------s in the office had MY car towed from MY assigned spot! I went to the office to tell them this and what did the ---- offer to do to fix the situation? Call me a cab to the tow lot. Oh gee, thanks -----! I'd love to take a $30 cab ride on top of the $260 that I have to pay to get my car back for some thing that was YOUR FAULT! I can't wait to get the ---- out of The Victor! Do yourself a favor & don't even go near this place! Oh yeah, one more thing. Have you ever lived in an apartment where you have to pay for your water & trash? I never have until I moved into the fabulous Victor! And not only that, you pay for water TWICE. You have to pay your LADWP (Los Angeles Dept. of WATER & Power) and then they send you a completely separate bill for trash & water. If they're going to charge me for thrash, they could at least ------- pick it up every once in a while!

It's been ok. Not happy with staff. There's a lot of people that it seems to be from gangs. The best part of living in vida Hollywood is that restaurants, bars, stores, gym, hiking are near by. That's really nice

If you love paying for not worth the price apartments, being woken up at any given hour due to the false fire alarms, sketchy smelly homeless people living under the stairs in the garage, then look no further Vida Hollywood is for you!! You've got so many loud ------ kids that hang out across the street at 1750 location and blare music all night long, good thing they have 24 hour security to monitor the problem... NOT!! You call, they say they'll send someone out, and they do absolutely nothing about it. I've walked into the fitness center on multiple occasions and witnessed the security guard on duty working out. They're supposed to be walking the property to make sure the fire alarm doesn't get pulled. The first 3 months I lived there it went off 6 times.... 6 TIMES all around 3 or 4 in the morning when the drunk non residents are getting kicked out of the apartment parties. The leasing office is fully aware of the "piggy backers" they call it, people who aren't residents but get let in. They say they can't do anything about it because the complex is in a "high traffic area," but keep paying $1470 for your 445 sq ft studio. I spoke with the leasing office multiple times about the false fire alarm pulls, I even called keisha at the corporate office. Her and shanique both politely tell you There'sn'thing they can do about it, deal with it.Well can I at least get a discount on my rent? LOL no but you can terminate your lease early (actual conversation). To top all of the problems off they nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING when you move out. I received a cleaning checklist and completed everything on the checklist (minus cleaning the blinds) and was still charged an $85 cleaning fee!! what exactly is the point of the list if you are going to charge me anyway?? Well per Shanique I should have received another letter stating that I have to get my apartment professionally cleaned and provide them with a receipt and they wont charge me. HA never got that letter, go figure... not to mention carpet cleaning fee of $60 and the $126.37 to repaint the apartment! If you take a damp paper towel and try to remove a scuff on the wall, the paint literally comes off like chalk. Please tell me again how That's worth $126.37?? Alma was kind enough to let me know that the original cost for repainting was $300 but I was prorated the amount listed above because I only lived there for 4 months. Vida Hollywood is the most pathetic excuse for an apartment complex, seriously a joke. It's like they want YOU to thank THEM for allowing you to live there. In summation: DON'T DO IT!!!! Go to park la brea, go to sunset and vine, go live under an overpass before you even think about calling this abomination home.

I just moved in so I can't say much. It can be loud outside but u singed up for it when you want to be on this location, but that's not really big of a deal. Other than that everything else seems cool. Neighbors are quiet and can't wait to use pool and the gym.

Someone I know moved into this place in February and from the beginning there were doubts but he needed a place on short notice that was close to BH. The office staff was disappointing. More interested in chatting with their friends in the Bomplex than doing their jobs. The Auite they show you isn't representative of the unit they stick you in. The other residents are loud and disrespectful. Dropping garbage in the garbage room right next to the trash chute. Screaming and yelling and fire alarms at 2 in the morning. Taking things from the laundry. Letting their friends park in the garage even though It's supposed to be assigned parking. He had someone in his space every time he came home. The MANAGER had a dog that soiled the carpets and she left it for maintenance to clean up. He had to move out because of health reasons shortly after moving in and was need to to pay a $3,000.00 break-lease fee. His rent was all paid up front and the fee was paid prior to leaving but they went ahead and placed a collection against him for the remaining rent. This place is so sleazy! The neighborhood would be better if The Victor was gone. It's Hollywood but this place is a common nuisance for the entire neighborhood. Run!!!!!
