Moved into a nice and freshly renovated apartment. The on-site leasing agent was courteous and welcoming in his attitude and solved my need to find an apartment quickly and without any hassle. The pool area is nice as well as the underground parking structure. Only bad thing: there was no cold water in the shower faucet and 2 days after I reported it to the staff it still hasn't been fixed.

The staff has been Gxcellent in every encounter I've had with them. They completed the move-in process promptly and have been polite and helpful with everything since. this place is well maintained, especially the pool area. Having night and weekend security is appreciated, but some residents and their guests loiter out front at night, which can be irritating. Overall, I'm happy with my stay so far.

Lucy Atarian is obviosly going to ruin this place..

The apartmentbuilding isn't really that bad-and if you have trouble then talk directly to Monique wich is the manager there. She and David wich is in maintainance are really good and decent people. They are honest, I know that for a fact.
don't even bother to be polite with Lucy-I don't know what her problem is, but she doesn't have a clue.

When we lived there, early 2004 we were accused of screwing up the linoleum at the kitchen and in the bathroom. Since we had only lived there for three monthts, we don't wear shoes inside, and the carpet in the living room looked like it was brand new this wasn't even close. The linoleum looked like it had been on the floor in a supermarked for years, even a child could have seen that,
Getting Monique to the Alat she was so imbarrased that I felt sorry for her, and we had all the services on earth from her in that instant. But stay away from Lucy-and as I said, don't even bother being nice to her because she doesn't give a ---- about the clients.
As for noice, you can have bad luck with your neighbours, we had no problem with ours. The walls are paper thin, so a noicy nabour WILL be a problem. At the side That's facing Yucca Street There's a garbige pick up at 7 am once a week and they are noicy as hell.

As for parking, There's on site security every day after 2pm, and they are supposed to tow away cars that are parked on your spot. Contact them if you have a problem, and a good idea could also be to say hello to those guys occationally when you pass them in the hallway, they are infact doing a job for you and can be usefull for you in many situations. Trust me, it really makes a difference.

Living in Hollywood isn't like living at Melrose or in any other rich area. You will find police everywhere, hellicopters are making a terrible noice looking for people-but be aware that most of the hellocopters are only turists that are cheking out the sight. As for people talking to you on the streets-That's acctually one of the really charming things about Hollywood, Poeple WILL say hello, some will ask you for money etc. But be nice to people and you will do just fine. Having some quarters ready will get you off the hook instantly. ONE is normally enough.
Ofcurse, if you are a girl it might not be neccessary to walk outside in this area dressed as you are ready for absolutely everything, this will create attention to you as a woman and -and is that really neccessary considering that this is an old prostitute neighbourhood with ditto guys henging around. Dress decent - and treat people decent and respectfully and Hollywood can be the experience of a lifetime. We loved it there. But STAY AWAY FROM LUCY, go to Monique - Lucy is bad news.

My girlfriend has recently moved in with me in my downtown loft.. She had been renting at the Victor on Wilcox Ave.. After I had visited her a few times there.. I had mentioned that i thought the grounds were unsafe.. The parking garage isn't vented.. so it reeks of exhaust.. The assigned parking rules are not enforced.. so its a free for all... There's no way to tow cars that are parked illegally.. because the ceiling to this place is to low for tow truck entrance...this place is a disaster..... and you havent even made it into the building yet.. Fumes from an air conditioning unit pour in a room while you wait for the elevator.. in the parking garage.. The elevator has signs of drink spillage all over the flooring.. When you get off at the floor you are going to.. You have to make sure to not look anyone in the face.. but rest assured.. they are looking at you.. I'm sure you get the picture without much elaboration.. The police are constantly at the building.. You've got constantly residents being arrested.. parties with Illegal substances... being busted.. The hallways often reek of pot smoke.. You definitely dont want to do laundry in the building if you can help it.. Your clothes WILL disappear.. Drink spillage is visible all over the hallways... This is obviously a "party" building... I would be interested in seeing the background checking requirements/criteria for these people.... if the office even actually puts the monies they collect for such things.. to said purpose..... My gf was lucky enough to have the room directly above the gym.. the floor would shake at all hours.. when people were using the equipment..This building obviously is the last place you would want to be... in an earthquake.. And people were yelling in the hallways at all hours of the evening.. And in the courtyard/pool area.. About the pool/courtyard area... It's littered with cigarette butts.. and if you try to lay out.. or use the pool area.. you are constantly harassed by other tenants and their guests wanting cigarettes/alcohol/money/or "hitting on" you.. My gf used to avoid it like the plague.. Bottom line.........don't MOVE TO THE VICTOR.. the prices are seemingly cheap.. but the mgmt will constantly create costs once you have moved out.. And, I can not help but believe these costs are only for the personal gain of the office manager.. due to a rewards system.. Or, I wouldn't be suprised if the monies were squandered before they even reached upper mgmt... And if you think im full lies.. Enter the Victor through the main entrance way.. where the R&B videos constantly play... and it looks decent...But make sure to also ask to see the parking garage.. and use the first elevator.. and be sure to drive by at night as well...... to see what youre really getting yourself into...The rent is cheap for a reason..

Staff- too busy doing their nails or flirting with the male residents to give a d@mn about anything, even renting an Auite. Helpful? Please! I've seen doorstops that have been more useful. Manager- Boy, I sure am pretty!!!! Maintenance looks like they're are off a sexual offenders list. Parking- sure you get a spot. But you're screwed if another resident let's their friends park in your spot. As soon as the gate opens every thug in the 'hood runs in. In less than a week the car was "opened" 3 times when it's clear we left nothing in it. Residents- Drug dealers on first floor, out front and in hallways. Music types who move here from Kansas thinking they will be discovered. Wanna bees for days!!!! There were 5 MB's in the parking garage. What Mom and Dad get that for you but leave you to rent in a total scum hole? I never felt safe in this place. Oh, and the best is when rent is late and almost EVERY door in the place has a late rent notice plastered on it. This joint SUCKS!!!! Head into WeHo or off Barnum at Oakwood. Yeah, it's a lot more rent but you get to live!

i found this site online and i find all thes epostings are strange, i have lived here for 2 years and i think its just getting better and better. since the new team took over i have seen a extream big change in the people who live here and the security. It was not that bad before but i did have some concerns then but not anymore. They are trying to do their best and it really shows that the new team cares for this place. they got new gueards, new access crads, pool passes which is GREAT beacuse no one can get in the pool unless they are residents and tehir guests.... and all new new changes are just great. the staff has always been helpful and the maintenance is great as well. i will definately renew my lease when it come up in october.

I love living in Vida Hollywood. I love the convenience of the location. It's close to so many things. Of course I would love more space, but the amenities certainly help. I use the gym, pool and I grill pretty often as well.

the victor hollywood is a nice place!! the people writing these bs posts are residents that are only mad at mgmt bc they are getting evicted b/c of not paying or noise complaints, drugs, etc. the new mgmt is AMAZING and getting rid of these residents that caused trouble. I have lived here a long time and It's young but It's respectful, all the residents are really friendly along with staff. The building just went through a multi million dollar renovation and MY place is awesome... definetly the best Alat place in hollywood (have you guys seen other complexes, come on!) so yea just sticking up for my good old property :)
