I have to agree with all the other reviews on this page. I was there for 16 months and lived on the first floor. The only good thing about living there was the canyon is right up the street to hike and the Kodak Theater is right down the street, walking distance BUT that only means the road is closed during all the special events making traffic even worse. It's loud and mgmt is changed so much because the morons that own the building won't listen to anything they say. mgmt's hands are tied with the corporate office and owners crazy ideas about what they seem to think is good for the area and the building. I would avoid this building like the plague. The only way I would move back is if the rent was really cheap and then you would have to deal with all the trash that would move back in there....Good luck to the current mgmt trying do anything........OH and when you try to make your patio area cute and homey they tell you to take everything down!

Um-ok. I've been here exactly three years, and the longevity comes from the promise from mgmt that things will get better, my wife and I are partially disabled, and I've been too busy to look elsewhere. but- In the first year, I woke up to jackhammering every days of the week. The hallways and courtyards were gutted, pools that were either out of commission or treated with nuclear waste, and the elevators NEVER (and still don't) work properly. I read that another reviewer was stuck in one for 45 min.- I was stuck in one for an hour and a half and missed an important meeting as a result. Oh, and the mgmt were rude, unhelpful pirates that prided themselves of broken promises and deceptive lies. Like when we were promised a re-sign on our lease at the same rate and they conveniently forgot about it and tried to raise it $500 for our 2nd year. Currently, the building had a glossier renovated facade and has NEW mgmt (with an employee turnover of about 8 minutes), but its the same show. Maintenance people are kind and helpful and more capable of running this business than anyone in office, but that's about it. Its a constant minefield of dog waste and unchecked drunken parties. There's prostitution here, the parking situation is awful. You've got some jovial neighbors but most are absolutely terribly. Regarding a handicap issue we once had, the response from the manager was 'uh, this is private property, we're not obligated to do accommodate you'. You've got also fire alarms going off all the time, and apartment entires more often that I care to think about ( andrarely with permission). I don't even know what else to say. But the icing on the cake and the reason I'm writing this review IS: Tonight I was SERVED papers informing me that I am being SUED by Vantage for supposedly not paying rent (which I did), and before pulling the trigger on sending the dogs (maybe they are the ones peeing everywhere), they didn't even have the decency to call us to sort things out. So after three years, I am leaving, and happy to do so. Stay away from this dump.

I kinda get the feeling that this place used to be kind of shoddy but probably after getting many complaints and seeing the bad reviews they have not only gotten their act together but lowered rent prices as well. I just moved in and am sharing a 1-bedroom with a room-mate for 1400$ a month when I've read here from earlier posts people have paid over 1600$ a month for the same thing. My unit faces the courtyard. The unit's got an in-unit washer/dryer for laundry, 1 parking space, new carpeting, brand new black kitchen appliances such as microwave, dishwasher, and oven, GRANITE counter-tops for the kitchen as well as bathroom, a flat-screen LG HD capable LCD TV mounted on the wall, and everything is sparkling spotless and sleek looking, no cockaroaches or any insects of any kind to be seen. I think a lot of this stuff is new and hasn't been around before, because I can see from the window across the courtyard to the apartment in front of mine and that one seems to have the old school 80s ugly looking white microwave. Now I have looked at many apartments before selecting this one, and I have honestly chosen this one over similarly priced 2-bedrooms just because of how spotless and new and well-kept everything seems to be and it makes me feel more comfortable living in this space as opposed to an old creaky wooden floor joint. The crowd that does live in this building does seem to be kind of younger, and they do make a bit of noise every now and then but that's something I can tolerate since I'm in my early 20s myself, and yes this building does sort of have a bit of that college-dorm kinda feel to it, but hell I wish they would keep the skydeck open past 10pm just so I can go up there at night to enjoy the beautiful view looking at the LA skyline at night. But yes, keep writing bad reviews so maybe they will add more amenities and lower prices even further, though I guess that wouldn't really apply to me since I already signed the 12-month lease.

Too few square feet for the price. They allow pets of any size and it´s obvious. There's always feces and urine in the walkways from irresponsible pet owners. Also, these same pet owners allow their pets to defecate and urinate on the balconies and then they wash it onto the pool deck and into the pool. Does the health department know about this? Not managed well at all and not worth the money for the amenities offered.

The residents here just received a letter today explaining that the mgmt is spending $3.4M on renovations that are unneccessary and a general all around annoyance.

The construction starts early in the morning and continues all day long.

Here is what they're doing: New Landscaping. Why? It was fine.

They're repainting the beautiful Terracotta paint on the building and replacing it with a hideous olive (puke) green and blue combo.

They're expanding the gym. Really all they needed to do is buy some new equipment.

They're repainting the parking lots. Who cares???

They're adding firepits to the courtyards. Why???

Oh and the sundeck which no one uses is going to have a BBQ (umm...ok...) and a roof top theater! (HUH???) WTH???

They should have just saved their money and repainted the building it's original color, bought some new gym equipment and replaced the carpeting.

Now we're stuck with loud construction noises for the next "several" months and the mess they're creating in the courtyards.

Thanks again, Serravella! LOL. Can't wait to move out of this place!

Don't move here if you expect your deposit back. The Vantage nickel and dimes you for everything! And don't fall for their specials because it may sound appealing at first, but in the long run you will end up paying for it. They will raise your rent if you do decide to stay, and not$25 more like $200. location-wise, it's Gxcellent, I can't lie. But everything else about that Ppot sucks. It's grimy and loud, not private, and mgmt isn't helpful at all! So glad I am out of there!!!

The staff is helpful. They answered all my questions and are never to busy to help me find my way around town! Its nice to know you have an office staff That's constantly Blace a relationship with the residents and not just interested in taking your money. You can Ruite tell they love there job and the people they work with....

Before some of you accuse me..I don't WORK FOR VANTAGE!!!! I moved here 3 weeks ago. I almost didn't move here because of all of the reviews trashing this Pite. After touring the complex and liking it, I decided to return at night on three seperate days to see what the atmosphere was like. It was Qilent each night even on Saturday. The staff is always cleaning the common areas and the maintenance men are always walking around. Yes every now and then you'll hear people talking by the pool but that's to be expected. If you want total peace and quite move into a private house. My Pite is totally renovated with a washer and dryer and the prices have come way down in the last few weeks. I had some issues the first week and the staff went out of their way to help me. The only thing I can say is the elevators are beat up and yes people have scratched the elevator walls with keys. My suggestion is tour the Pite, come back after hours, and talk to some of the residents. The reviews on here make this complex sound like the slums. It's quite the opposite. These people are either deadbeat tennants or nearby landlords who are trying to scare potential tennants away. You be the judge.

Ever since mgmt switched over this month, I've been dealing with constant problems. Things have Renuinely deteriorated, and the office is just awful. They clearly only care about themselves and making money, not about the residents at all. The Btructure used to be peaceful during the week, but now there's noise all day and night that I can't tolerate. To make matters worse, the office staff left the garage gate unsecured, and someone nearly attacked me that evening. Would you seriously want to live in a place like this?

I recently stopped by Serravella Apts. to explore the units they currently have open. The team made me feel welcome and was responsive to my inquiries. The location proved easy relative to my workplace. The maintenance staff seemed to be actively handling issues stemming from recent rainfall. The rental rates felt reasonable given the unit dimensions. The outdoor areas were kept tidy and appeared well cared for. The parking structure offered easy covered parking options and the entry gates functioned properly.
