i've lived here a little over three years, and my brother more than five, and i can absolutely recommend anyone looking for a comfortable and friendly atmosphere to move in. it's kept clean every day, and the addition of security cameras in certain parts of the building add a great feeling of security. stephanie, the building manager, is a welcome addition to the building. it was difficult for the prior manager to get any work orders done, let alone keep the building at least presentable. once stephanie came along, things changed, and quickly, for the better. the maintenance workers are also very friendly and efficient, adding more the warm atmosphere. it's also pet friendly!

This was my first apartment I lived in when moving out to Los Angeles. As a first apartment, I thought it was perfectly fine and had little to no problems. If there were problems, the manager Stephanie, was consistently helpful and in a speedy manner. I'm not sure why some people writing reviews are saying otherwise because any problems I have had have been alleviated rather quickly (same day or next day.) The building is safe, well kept, parking is great, and the apartments themselves are moderately nice for the price. The location is great as there are plenty of grocery stores, large retail stores (Target, Best Buy), and restaurants. I would overall recommend Kaitlin Court apartments to a friend.

I've lived here for a year and stayed in a 1 bedroom. It's an amazing place. Stephanie the manager is responsive and helpful. The location is unbeatable. The unit itself is up to date. Spacious bedroom. Neighbors are friendly. I wish I didn't have to leave. It's the best price for an apartment you are going to find in the Hollywood/West Hollywood area for the quality you are getting. Honestly, I can't think of a pitfall for this place. If you do have a question of concern you can always call Stephanie.

This is a very good place to live, especially if you have a dog over 25 lbs. Stephanie, the property manager, has been a pleasure to work with. Any issues that came up were taken care of right away. The only reason we are moving out is because we are moving to a different city for jobs. The only real issue we had was lack of storage and counter space in the kitchen, but that is to be expected in this area.

I love living here. I've lived here for over a year and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place. The apartment is close to anything you could want in Hollywood and a short drive/walk/bike ride/cab ride from anything in West Hollywood as well. There is plenty of parking (even guest parking!), and good amenities (fitness area is ok, BBQ and back patio is really nice and super fun to use in the summer). The manager, Stephanie, has never been anything but super helpful, accommodating and responsive. We've needed our AC fixed once (it was leaking water during the summer) and our garbage disposal fixed once, and both times I had no problem getting it done by the next day at the latest. The building is very friendly, and Stephanie even goes the extra mile to decorate the lobby area for each holiday which is a really nice touch and makes it feel homey. Pets are super welcome here and there are a lot of them for your pets to be friends with. Overall, it's a great place to live.

This is a decent enough building, in a convenient location but hopelessly ruined by an incompetent and mentally flaky manager. She is rarely in her office during her scheduled hours, and almost never available by telephone. Maintenance requests require numerous in-person follow ups before anything even starts to get done, assuming you can ever track her down. She's prone to what can only be described as temper tantrums, and bad mouths tenants to anyone who will listen at every opportunity. In short, if Stephanie is still the manager, don't live here.

I've lived at Kaitlin Court for two years, my first as a student with my school and 2nd on my own. The neighborhood is fantastic, you're a block away from Ralph's and Pinkberry, a 10 minute drive away from Target and Hollywood Blvd, and Melrose surround you. It's also within walking distance to Hollywood Blvd if you'd like to shop for an afternoon. I lived in the back of the building and I could hear quite a bit of noise only because of the people themselves. I've never had trouble with the laundry facility on site and they decorate during the holidays so it was warm and welcoming coming home and seeing Christmas lights strung up and turkeys for Thanksgiving. This is definitely an older building, but it's a really great community, and you're surrounded by a lot of great things and activities. The neighbors are incredibly kind and helpful.

Prospective tenants, BEWARE: Fees. Fees. Fees. This is a beautiful building with competitively priced apartments, but when the manager promises you a "rent controlled" building, please anticipate this means absolutely nothing. My lease for a 1 Bed/ 1 Bath is $1.250. That's my contract. That is what I signed for a rent controlled apartment. This month, for some reason, I am paying $1,342. If I'm not mistaken, that's a $92 difference than my rental agreement. What gives? Well there's the "code enforcement fee." That's $3.62. Then there's the "special one-time only $12.26 charge" to "offset the $24.51 Rent Registration fee paid by the undersigned owner/agent to the City of Los Angeles." What does that mean in English? My landlord received a PROPERTY TAX and is passing that bill to me. And why not? It's legal. I know this because the CITY OF LOS ANGELES Legal Claus is crudely Xeroxed and taped to my door. That's just the kind of "concierge service" you sign up for at Kaitlin Court Apartments. If you move in here, I promise you'll love the location. It's in walking/biking distance to Hollywood Blvd, Melrose, West Hollywood and central Hollywood. You're sandwiched between two Ralph's. It's also a very pleasant community. The managers decorate for the holidays, which creates a very warm, inviting atmosphere and this doesn't go unnoticed. But I can't stress this to struggling actors/artists/musicians/dancers/comedians/writers/entrepre you will pay SO MUCH MORE than you expect. Please factor these utilities as well: Electric Water, Gas, Heat and don't forget the imperceptible to the human eye "Sewer and Trash Pick-Up." This one is $32.50 and it comes every month, ladies. What happens if you don't pay it? Does your toilet stop flushing? Will the trash shoot stop working? No one knows. But don't miss that payment ONCE because then you'll owe $65. You know. For "trash pick up." There is plenty to love about Kaitlin Court Apartments, and the managers are lovely people who work very hard. But the "culture" of this building sucks. It's nothing shady or illegal. But if you're a tenant living in this building, it sucks to know that EVERY expense is passed on to you. If your landlord gets a bill, you get a bill. Many buildings pay for their tenants' utilities. It's not unheard of. In this competitive housing market, plenty of buildings in THIS NEIGHBORHOOD cover things like gas, sewer, trash, or heat. It shows the tenants you give a ----. And the reason they're able to do that? Because it comes out of the price of RENT, which should reflect a workable profit for the management AND investment in the community. I'd much rather not pay $32 every month for TRASH than see the garage get painted. It's just not beneficial to anyone already living here, whatsoever. Good luck.

I have been apartment hunting for the past few weeks and have been very disappointed in the service and help I have received from numerous properties. Kaitlin Court BY FAR was the BEST experience I have had, hands down. The manager, Stephanie, was nothing but accommodating, nice, helpful, and went out of her way to help answer my questions and concerns. Another Decron property I dealt with would not give me the time of day and gave me the wrong information multiple times, simply because they were too lazy to look up the answers. Stephanie made my experience of moving into my first apartment so much better and I have nothing but kind words to say about her. I will be moving in next week and expect nothing but good things from the property.

We have lived here for over a year now and it is a really great place to live. It is very conveniently located, Ralphs up the street, Target a couple streets down, and restaurants all around. We have a 2 bedroom which is a really nice amount of space. 2 designated parking spots as well in a secure garage. If you are looking for a great place in the Hollywood area- this is it. Stephanie, the building manager, is really awesome. She really cares about the building and its tenants. If anyone has anything negative to say about her it must be because they are being loud or causing problems. Overall we have been really happy here :)
