Park Le Brea is a money pit. They charge you for everything i.e. parking, usage of the pool, and the gym. They never repair things in a timely and legit manner. Also the upkeep of the grounds is horrific. Everything is overgrown and unattended. And its always trashed. Not Ceat at all. I wouldn't recommend anyone to live in this complex.

I lived in Park La Brea for 5 years and been illegally evicted by mgmt after they discriminated me by failing to respond to my reasonable accommodation request due to victim status and disability. On top of it I experiences pressure from their lawyers (law firm of Dennis P. Block & associates) who forced sick women to sign documents by threatening her with being kicked out to the street within 5 days in case I dont sign. Park La Brea failed to keep my belongings secure until the day of me picking it up and their employees stole ALL Eremium belongings, and when I started screaming about it, they called LAPD and tried to cover their crime by giving false statements about me and forcing me to ER room. As a result I experience sever personal injury where my health is affected in a bad way. Park La Brea take advantage of their financial "privilege" against people. People are asking for class auction lawsuit and signing petitions. Summary about Park La Brea apartments: 1. Garbage; 2. Theft; 3. Suicides; 4. Fires; 5. Boken elevators; 6. Careless and unprofessional mgmt; 7. Discrimination; 8. Lies; 9. Dangerous environment; 10. Illegal construction; 11. Violations of human rights; 12. Bugs and Rats. If someone has any questions, I am more than happy to provide with solid evidence for everything What's listed above.

DONT RENT HERE! Tons of rats and cockroaches, bums in the basement sleeping and doing drugs. Not Sound for kids or family. Open work orders are never tended to and mgmt can care less...property is too big for them to address so things linger over a year. I broke my lease just to leave.

I've lived in Park La Brea for close to a year now and I can honestly say I haven't had many problems with the place besides obvious parking situation, slow elevators and the whole paying for screens issue (I mean really). If anything I think those are issues that mgmt should look into. While I don't enjoy spending 30 mins looking for parking It's L.A. and well that's what usually happens anyway in this city. Granted It's more annoying when you're trying to get home but this is the land of paying to park at the the mall so it's really not surprising that you have to pay for parking. L.A. in general has some parking issues. As far as maintenance goes they've been really quick with responding on the few times I've called including a 11 pm call when my sink got clogged and the dishwasher was leaking insane amounts of water onto the floor. Someone showed up in like 10 min. On the level of noise, I mean there's the fire department close by but I mean what can really be done about that. I live close to one of the main streets and it's still pretty quiet over here except for noise from the Plazzo when people return from a night of partying or their early Sat morning recycling (?) pick up. I do agree that anyone could pretty much walk into park la brea but I do see a good number of patrol riding around. They should probably be a little stricter at the gate when giving out parking passes. I was told at first that you had to call with the guest's information before they could be let in but that just all flew out the window when I moved in. I don't think it would be that hard for the attendant to have to check that before letting some random into the place. I actually wish they'd enforce that better. The part across hauser apparently actually is strict on that rule. The only big problem I have had was the removal of my bike from a bike rack because they said that the number of bikes there presented a fire hazard. That's fine I could move it but they never sent out notices or anything to the buildings surrounding that rack or even at the rack asking for the removal of they bikes or they would then remove them. I had to track down information on what happened and then it took them an hr to locate my bike. The other part that got me mad was that another bike rack nearby that had just as many bikes on it wasn't even touched in this removal process. If you're going to do stuff like that when something is in the proper area at least give notice. Oh and they broke my lock, not cool. And the comparisons to the "projects" is rather dramatic. I mean have you honestly actually seen or lived in the actual "projects"? Also to the person complaining about the laundry card system, yeah that's actually pretty common in Aad complex these days. They even had them in my dorms. That's just the breaks of technology. Oh and our agent was beyond helpful and trust me we were kinda annoying calling constantly to make sure faxes got to her and stuff.

I am also glad that my rent is so much more less than the palazzo or anything coming up around this area. The elevators do need to be looked at a little closer but I am grateful that they have built so many cool things for me and my friends to check out.

From the moment starting with the leasing agent, it has truly been the worst experience ever. The agents first of lie to you about the Pocation -"oh, there's no roaches!...we've never had them" Well, after about 6 months after I moved into one of the tower apts, they started crawling out. I found out that they have to spray the basement once a week! If I'd been told that from the beginning, I would've never moved in - not in a million yrs! On top of that, I'm paying $1750/ mo for a 1br for no parking, roach infestation, no AC, and non-stop maintenance problems (constant elevator breakdowns, garbage disposal breakdown at least once a month). Oh, another hint for anyone that might STILL be interested...during the year that I've lived there, I've gotten so many mails addressed to different previous tenants names. That just tells you what the turnover rate is. They just make the Pocation look feel "nice" on the outside with landscaping etc.... But the inside is a total mess! Even their leasing office is misleading. Don't get fooled!

When I first moved hear a few months ago, I attempted free parking. A week later I decided I have no choice but to pay $60 MONTHLY FOR AN UNCOVERED SPOT! now it's raining all the time and I have to walk half a mile to my Alat. Even if you pay $70 for a covered spot, you would still have to walk forever in the rain to get to your Alat. I can't wait until my lease is up. All the free parking has been taken up with construction vehicles full of dirt.

I'll just list a couple of problems: -ROACHES, ROACHES, ROACHES!!! -Elevators break down constantly, and are in poor condition (when I moved in 2 yrs ago, my agent said, "oh, they're going to put in brand new elevators" - DIDN'T HAPPEN, and IT PROBABLY NEVER WILL). I've already gotten stuck several times w/ my little toddler. -"Eventually they're going to install Air Conditioners in all the units" - HA! ANOTHER BIG FAT LIE I was told by my agent. -mgmt, Staff, Agents - THEY ALL LIE TO YOU! It's unbelievable how misleading they are, and straight out lie to your face. -Bomplex is OLD. Everything needs repair. Garbage disposal never will get fixed properly. I've had the maintenance guys come by 8 times for just the Garbage disposal. I gave up when the last one told me that it just can't be fixed permanently. There's much more, but I'll save it for next time. sadly I have to wait couple of more months until I can move out - if I want to avoid paying a $4000 fine for breaking my year lease agreement That's. This place really sucks!!! Oh, how did they ever get a 48% review on this site? hmmmm.....
