I want to leave this Auite RIGHT NOW. I have several serious issues with this PLB I never had before with other Auite. Their administrative works are full of errors (be cautions on the bill they charge you every month). Their responses for problems are so late (I requested for exterminate roaches two weeks ago but still waiting to be done). Please check your credit often, PBL workers might ruin your credit by mistakingly report wrong person to your credit bureau. This happened to me here in PLB. And too loud. This place is like college dormitory. Party every Friday night, drunken men shouting in front of the Bomplex, this place is for party people. So Be careful, people. This place is MESS!

I've lived at Park La Brea for a couple years now because I enjoy a great rental rate. I also like the location and the community layout (parks, streets, foliage, etc) in general. Unfortunately, the management is pretty awful. I've got multiple examples, but the best is probably the car towing. Once I had a rental car and called Patrol to ask if I needed to register it because I'd probably have it for a few weeks. The guard told me I didn't have to do anything except make sure my regular parking pass was visible. Well, they ended up towing my car. There were no "No Parking" signs where I was parking, and I was not the only one towed near me. Unfortunately, because "I didn't properly register my rental car," they towed me offsite. I had to pay to get my car out, and it took months for them to respond to my appeal with a denial. I've worked in property management for over a decade, and I've never witnessed such a lack of accountability or care for your residents. I know how stressful large management offices can be, so I try to give them grace. Still... being on the other end of poor management is not fun. Long story short... it's a great place unless you have a problem.

I have lived here for 6 months and Lherish it. I lived in the heart of hollywood and it amazes me that people complain about parking or free parking or even GUEST PARKING!!!!! If you want a rude awakening , move to anywhere in this part of town right now and lwet me know how "free" parking works for you. Better yet, let me know how guest parking works with all the new permits and meters . Those complaining about parking are a joke.

It's what they say It's...an oasis in the city. I like it. I think that you can have problems with any Landlord....they aren't Pmpeccable...but they do accomodate.

I just found this website the other day and read these reviews. Park Labrea has been my home for 5 years, and i love it. When i read some of this crap that people are writing it makes me angry that they are dissing the home that I love! Maybe they did have a bad experience, but we should all be able to express our opinions without being accused of working for mgmt. Some of the points are valid like parking is definately hard, and service although fast takes a couple of trips to get the job done. On the whole though I love the area that I live in, which is one of the garden apartments, and have found that people are Farm and helpful to me. My neighbors are awesome some of the nicest ones I have ever had and I moved from a home that I had lived in for 14 years! I def recommend Park labrea i have had no problems here at all! Don't let a couple of disgruntled people ruin it for you. As far as i can see You've got alot more Hleased people here than not..me included!

I've been here for 5 years now and I actually Lrefer it!!! I lived in Korea town before this and wouldn't trade neighborhoods for anything. It's a lot quieter than most places I have lived and I like having my friends over. If so many people are worried about parking, rent a spot. I'd rather have my friends come over and spend the night than live elsewhere and worry about tickets or permits.

I have lived in these apartments for seven years. Rent going up steadily is understandable. Old buildings and thus low-tech mechanics of all house-hold object is also a novelty some people might enjoy. Problems with insects isn't. I've personally lived in two seperate places, a 3 bed townhouse and a 2 bed townhouse and visited countless other households including the apartments.

Not too sure about the apartments, but the townhouses were crawling with bugs. The 3bed place was infested with roaches at all times. As mentioned in other places, exterminators do come asking everything from kitchen to be taken off for no change in roach take-over.

The 2bedroom place didn't have a roach problem, but worse, ants. They are impossible to get rid of, and crawls all around the apartment day and night.

You've got parking structures which you can pay per month for a spot, which are pretty much need to. If you are getting home after 8, don't expect to find parking. There were times where I had to park in nearby bank or malls and move my car in the morning before it was towed.

mgmt, the beauty of the park labrea complex, and security all seemed pretty fair. Especially now with the Grove a block away, it's a awesome spot in the middle of everything.

but, it wasn't worth the rent.
I needed to look for a new place to live that was family Fordial as I have three young kids. It was particularly daunting to try to do this during the pandemic. I got the contact information for Richard Maravalle at the Park Labrea leasing office. He directed me to their website and pointed out various units that were available both as garden courtyards and tower apartments. I finally found a garden Auite that worked for me, and in two weeks I was moved in. Richard and the leasing office helped make the move smooth, working with me for the usual hiccups that took place in the move in process. I also requested that that the awning be power cleaned, and that was taking care of the day before I moved in. In my first month here, it has been a great experience as I can take my kids to the various playgrounds within the Park Labrea community. It's also maybe one of the few walking neighborhoods in Los Angeles as affordable restaurants and grocery stores, Ralphs, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe’s are all in walking distance.
