This place was good for the space and the price. But shortly there after they kept raising the rents on us after the first six months every six months. We had air conditioner issues in summer and they wouldn't fix it. They would get into our apartment without permission and punch a massive hole in the wall to fix a leak. The ceiling would gush whenever it rained and the apartment manager wouldn't be on site. The building fire alarm would go off for no reason and we would have to run out of the building at 5:30 am. When they asked us what we thought of the most recent rent increase we said , it's fine we can afford it. The next month they evicted everyone in the building in order to " fix the plumbing issues". They raised the rents to try to push people out , then wouldn't fix issues because they knew they were going to renovate. Extremely unethical. They wanted to be taking reservations by May 2020 but since COVID-19 pushed their renovation timeline they won't be opening until September 2020. If you do the math , loss of tenant rents plus cost of renovation , they've lost over a million dollars this year due to the choice of renovation. Which the next tenants will have to pay for.

I lived in Fair Park Apartments almost five years in a studio with no view. I was a good tenant during that time, even though things were far from perfect, and then two weeks before Gov Newsom signed AB 1482 into law the whole building received eviction notices. Eagle Rock is wonderful, but you've been warned, find another room to rent, ----------- Property Management are a bunch of Kunts.

Bad news bears here. Poor treatment at this location. It is sanctioned and allowed by the 'company' as they put it, the owners to treat us in this manner. We now realize is due to gossip (wow yes this happens from adults!!!) our lack of being married with kids and not being some kind of ----------------- descent. Its been really rough living here especially with my debilitating conditions that don't even allow me to work. Repairs are not handled for years, poor lighting, poor cleaning practices of common areas, laundry issues consistently9will upgrade the price but not the facilities and their almost always dirty), has poor visual appeal inside and outside, theft, security cameras installed without any notice or prior notice, no water consistently, maintenance people walking in while sleeping naked because they don't give prior notice, violations of lease for people they like and no issues for them. So no. I'm finally leaving YAY!

Fun things to do in Eagle Rock! 1 avoid being murdered. 2 avoid being spit @ & threatened by the vast hordes of angry "homeless" especially when you refuse to pay them. It's a ball. Welcome low life hipsters, make sure you block residents driveways with your crapmobiles so as to recieve a "SPECIAL" Eagle Rock welcome!

I have lived here 1 1/2 years Im sad but happy at the same time to move. I just rented my 1st house. I had looked on this site for reviews for my new place. wanted to write a review for Fair Park and was so shocked to see the ratings.I looked up the person that wrote a bad review What a nightmare living next to him. PS if you click on his photo Sanford witch he placed his own name you will see the other bad ratings also come from his list of friends???? They did not even live here. He was always so angry. Also he had people coming in and out of his apartment like it was a hotel. Not people you would want staying next to you for weeks at a time on more then 25 occasions. The managers Bert and Kristy had always took care of any maintenance request that I had (not many) and even excepted my UPS & Fed-Ex packages.(not even there job) The place is always clean. I think its a shame that when people don't follow the rules and are asked to leave (ha_ha) they are angry and say untruthful things that are very disrespectful..I would recommend this great place to anyone. Look on craigslist Fair Park you will see the real truth. The units are beautiful. . What kind of people do and say such lies.. Shame on you, your friends and family.

this is the rule for this site "I certify I am not an employee or contractor for this community or any other community", I really hate managers are blaming their tenants here, so silly!! it's really bad. Even the tenant was not good for them, the managers should not blame them here, and don't open their privacy. also managers can reply to the reviews as a manager in this site, right? they should do that if they wanna say something. yeah, "you" should do that. also you should know this site can see who you are with IPS, so if you are really manager, it will be problem.

Anonomous below is hilarious. Burt and Kristy the apartment Managers have been bent out of shape about the negative reviews for some time now and their attitude and demeanor shows it. She (remaining annonomous) has reviewed the apartment that she manages favorably. Good move Kristy. I lived at this location for some time (and thankfully moved) The Pet policy is complete crock. Kristy is just selective about the particular residents who have pets (her included). We had a dog. If you have a car larger then a honda and you dont mind parking spaces that were designed for getting out using your sunroof parking is no problem what so ever. Street parking is available however do you really want to do that in this neighbourhood? Noise is not a serious issue other then when you hear literally everything going on in the building at all hours, and the colorful neighbours of the building and their late night polka parties. We learned to sleep with earplugs. Its LA your not paying for anything to look good you will know this literally seconds after walking into the place. Safety is a joke, a secure building yes but a lot of the units have bad locks. Just walk through the hallway touching the handles. Its laughable how run down they have let this place get. One look into the ceilings, appliances, carpet, and overall look of the place and you can instantly tell they do nothing to maintain this building. We lived here for two years, and although didnt have the nightmares of some of our neighbours, lets just say that timely was not in the managers vocabulary. Waiting several months for something as simple as a broken faucet (we ended up paying a repair person to come in at our own expense) and when we asked for reimbursment it was refused flat out. Sorry that I dont want to wait two or more months to get running water in out bathroom sink. Brushing our teeth in the shower and kitchen sink was getting annoying . Staff... see above. Until Burt and Kristy are gone this place will continue to be a dump. The fact that they are allowed to stay probably means the owners just don't care. Overall don't rent here. Dont. Stay far away. Eagle Rock has incredible places to live as does Highland park. This is the worst of the worst. Stay as far away as you can this Apartment building is poison.

Weeks at a time once more then a month the manager had to say somthing to them...He gave them the keys to the biulding I saw them doing laundry so I knew they had a key to the biulding that was probably they breke in he was talking about very shady people. They smelled so bad looked like street people nothing like our tenants I had to complain more then otwice.Dont believe one word that guy was nothing but trouble. We were so glad he moved out....

My biggest problem with the FPA is after living in the building for 2 years I couldn't get any maintenance problems resolved. Ever! I literally sent the apt managers a letter when we moved in to tell them that the disposal was broken, the hot water didn't work (scalding), drawer handles were broke, mold from rain damage, serious ant problem, and front door knob was coming off (that's safe!??!)it took numerous "reminders" to finally (8 months later) to get a maintenance person in to spray for ants and patch the leaky-moldy corner of my bedroom. It was ridiculous. The view was nice. No pets allowed although the managers have one. If it weren't for the problem with getting ANYTHING taken care of, or the paper thin walls, or the ant problem,or the leaky roof, for the mass amount of rent money you fork over for such a small place in an "up and coming" (sketchy in some parts) area it would be fine but it got really out of hand! Many other Eagle Rock options so keep looking!
