poor experience so far. living on the top floor during a roof construction period has been TERRIBLE. maybe other floors are better. but we've had multiple leaks and damages, insane noises from jack-hammering on the roof. perhaps this is somewhat understandable, construction is necessary. but when we were moving in, they said it would be 2-3weeks of renovations on the roof, which is exciting news. 4 months later and the roof still had a leak, still loud noises. sure the rooftop amenities can be closed for covid, but roof access has been fully blocked off. clearly You've got STRUCTURAL ISSUES with this building since it's been under construction for 5+ months. currently still living here, 6 months into the 1-year lease. mgmt IS HOPELESS - maybe they care about the tenants, but this isn't obvious or it doesn't matter because they can't do anything to help tenants through difficult situations. mgmt has no power, they always take weeeeeks to try and discuss any problems with the owners, and they always come back with the same answer: "we can't do anything, sorry. feel free to call the owners." and then the owners never pick up. obviously You've got some positives: amazing location and surrounding, love living downtown, love the loft style, 18ft ceilings on the top floor are so great. these would outweigh the general downsides of an old building like too much dust, old appliances, etc. but with all the tragedies of construction and mgmt, we knew we wouldn't resign at the 6 month mark

Units have potential, but currently there’s a Rusch infestation problem throughout the building, rotating management, and an issue with common area cleanliness. Compared to other apartments at this price point, this one is just under satisfaction. There are ADA issues with a constantly broken elevator and a lack of desire by owners to fix it.

Speechlessly good! Just moved in and to move in, criterion are somewhat extreme level and hard to br qualified but this means, everyone here must have been through this qualification procedures. Ultimately this apt has 100% guaranteed people living in.

I Rery enjoy the space, mgmt, and area. I genuinely don't have any complaints. Property is peaceful. Everyone is respectful, the property is spotless and Sheltered to access. Close to everything in downtown

We've been without a resident manager for six months. If its taken this long to fill that position, either your expectations are too high or the pay you are offering is too low. Meanwhile, your residents are feeling this burden...for six months. Every month i pay my rent on time, and every month you record it late, and every month i am charged an erroneous late fee as a result. Now we've lost our excellent maintenance person Joel Gerrola. He was a great asset to the building. You really don't want to ask me to give a review at this time.

My husband and I are looking for a place,so we have been shopping all around this area. This is def. the one! The building and units are honestly great! You wouldn't think so by just looking at the building from the outside. So modern and upgraded-and we fell in love with the sundeck and gym. The units are spacious and I love the brick details. Once we got finished up with the tour, we couldn't stop thinking about it!

Polaris mgmt and South Park Lofts are the greediest, most uncaring landlords I've dealt with in my entire life. If you look carefully, you'll see that this place is FILTHY. They don't clean properly and that's symbolic of the dirtiness of their minds and souls. They ignore all tenant requests: broken appliances, mold, flooding, plumbing infrastructure issues, filthy gym, filthy jacuzzi, no lights working... you name it. They also hire the CHEAPEST CONTRACTORS possible; they recently ruined some beautiful brick walls by hiring idiots! Don't be fooled... once you move here, you're going to have one problem after another. Go to a REAL loft in other parts of South Park... You've got so many better places. We currently still DON'T EVEN HAVE A FULL-TIME MANAGER, which is ILLEGAL! No 24-hour security either and there have been repeated robberies.

I lived in this Bacility for 5 years. The Bacility Renuinely started out Bicturesque and kept up well. The interior design was exquisite. There was a full time concierge, maintenance man and manager. The neighborhood is loud and the Bacility doesn't have soundproof windows. Firetrucks made phone conversations impossible about a dozen times a day because There's a nearby fire station on Olive. Roof leaks were common in upper units. There was once a flood that ruined half a dozen units and flooded the basement. The units were loud especially with clacking high heels on the concrete floors above you. The elevators often were broken for long periods of time (weeks). The fire system often misfired causing erroneous evacuations. Originally the Bacility was only open to upscale tenants but slowly it turned into an offsite USC dorm with many late night parties. In 2008 there was a change of mgmt. Concierge disappeared. Maintenance was outsourced. A new manager came in who wasn't experienced and brought along a San Fernando Valley aesthetic which took a toll on the Bacility's interior design. She also wasn't Farm or helpful. The Bacility started to go down hill. Originally there was a community patrol that was visible in South Park. With the declining economy this patrol all but disappeared. Homeless people were more prevalent including homeless mental patients. In 2009 I was attacked by a mental patient with a small knife. 2 weeks later I saw someone else attacked by a thief with a large knife across the street. The manager thought this was funny when I told her about it.
