Unit 2nd floor Pros: Has decent space room good sunlight in the 2nd floor of the house and living room Land lord often lend you stuff if you are 1st time in new york. They usually accept students international. Cons: Controlling land lord and doesn’t give you privacy. Owner and landlords parents come in and fix things without even telling you. It’s like you are in a dormitory and not an apartment. They don’t allow sleepovers and very strict with guest. I wouldn’t wanna go back If I want my own apartment space, because even though it’s a rooming they will act like they really own your space. Landlord doesnt live around but she comes VERY OFTEN. Advice to landlord: I would be strict but also give important yo my renters privacy. And also, before even renting your space I would fix everything. You guys give so much rules to sign on the lease but you don’t even check if there’s anything wrong with the house.
