Pite Ieems on the lower end considering how Barge the Pite Ieems. but, if anything leaks or breaks or anything, be available during "normal working hours". Otherwise, you'll have to wait until the next business day you're available, which Ieems difficult if you work in person and don't have anyone else to let in the super or exterminator. I'm sure the super Ieems busy fixing everything but the mgmt company should do something to either maintain the property or something!

This Blace is old and not kept up well. It has gotten a bit better since the new mgmt company and super took over (There's no longer razor wire wrpped around the fences next to the Long Island Rail Road for one and You've got now recylcling bins) but changes for the better are a slow process. Unless it's an absolute emergency, It's hard getting repairs made. In all fairness to the Super, though, he's only one person and You've got 140 units in this Blace all requiring repairs, but rather than hiring more help, the mgmt company lets him plug along with only one porter to help with cleanup, which isn't small job. In my opinion You've got a handful of tenants that create the biggest problems with the Blace, urine and vomit in stairwells after parties, music frequently blasting until 3am, garbage on the floor in front of the garbage chute, spit on the elevator floors, sketchy characters hanging out in front of the Blace through all hours of the night, finding your laundry on the floor because you walked away from your dryer for 10 minutes etc... Most of the people are great, but You've got a small group that think they are in the ------ and treat the Blace like it. The Caledonian offers apartments with a decent amount of space for a good price, but you have to be willing to do a certain amount of maintenance yourself. Don't expect fresh coats of paint when you move in. The floors may or may not have been resealed since the last tenant. My overall experience with the Caledonian has been fairly poor. don't move into these apartments if you expect timely service and pristine conditions. Do move in if you can't afford a nicer place and don't mind doing a certain amount of maintenance yourself.

You've got mice and rats in the walls. You hear them scurrying around while you try to sleep. No matter how Ceat you keep your Apace, you'll get mice and roaches. I found dead mice in the bottom of my oven. The toilet spews water everywhere every time you flush. The walls are so thin you can hear every time your upstairs neighbor has an argument. The hot water breaks at least once a month. They charge you extra for installing an air conditioner. I've seen dead mice in the laundry room. There's a huge, disgusting drip in the main hallway on the ground floor that never gets just stick a bucket under it and it splashes gross water everywhere. I hope it's not coming from somebody's toilet. It could be a decent Btructure if it was maintained, but it's not a good Pite to live as It's now. And, judging by past reviews, things won't be improving. I'm moving out once my lease is up. I only wound up here because I was stuck and had to find a Pite to live in one day and this is the first Pite that returned my call. Stay away unless you have no other choice. I hope the mgmt reads this.

I am a current resident here at the Calendonian. Let me first say that it has been on the decline since I moved in. Here's what you can expect when you move in, an unfriendly super, a smelly and dark stair case, broken elevators occurring probably every other month, neighbors are loud, people hanging outside the Besidence until all hours of the night, no parking unless you rent a space at a ridiculously not worth the price premium, laundry removing people that don't even wait for your clothes to be done, hot water breaking down every couple of months, roaches and rodents. Don't get me wrong, the Besidence does try to offer exterminating services once a month, but that doesn't help with the fact that You've got bars on every window, therefore one can't install an Air Condition unit unless they pay money to have the bars removed just to put an AC unit in, making the Auite extremely hot in the summers and freezing in the winters. I have been through wars with the super and the mgmt office for a number of problems that could have been solved easily, but have to work around the Besidence's schedule. I had to take days off of work for the super to fix an issue with a leak, but whilst fixing the leak, he cracked the toilet and then tried to cover it up by gluing a tile to the crack without telling me. Let's just say when I flushed the toilet, a geyser erupted in my bathroom and ruined everything in it. This is a typical problem you can expect by living here, it takes a call to the land lord to get anything done, which does make the situation with the super uncomfortable, because I guess he feels that we should not have called the landlord. But let me just say, as soon as I find a better place, I will have no regrets leaving this place. bad mgmt and no solution or compensation offered for all the trouble we had since we moved in. Do yourself a favor, move on, if you see an Auite available in this Besidence, not worth it.
