The apartments are spacious, in a great location, and the rent is very reasonable for Williamsburg. I've lived here for 7 years in two different units and the difference between the two are drastic. My old apartment was not renovated, had leaks in the bathroom that were never repaired properly, and a roach problem. Then I moved into another apartment that is so much nicer. There are new floors, I rarely see roaches (though you do see them now and then- normal for NYC), and no leaks. It also seems that as tenants move out, they renovate the units and raise the rent. In the past few years the management has become more responsive to problems and if you need something repaired, the landlord will send someone the same day. Yosefa, the woman to speak to at the management office can be a bit gruff at times, but she is fair.

worst building ever! the super fixes everything with "spackle". we had constant leaks and i have never seen so many roaches. the owners, the knowles family are a bunch of theives. Lucia, the mother is the worst. when people use the term slum lord they are referring to these people. abosolutely disgusting! she has big spaces for cheap but don't take apartments from her. if you here the name knowles, run! she owns a lot of buildings in the south side of williamsburg. we had so many oaches we had to leave behind half of everything we owned because things were so infested; by antique dresser, my microwave, some painting we made because the roaches get betweeen the canvas and the frame.....is was horrible. really sad.

I have been living in this building for three years. Location is not bad as the building is between the Lorimer L and the Hewes St. JMZ. However there are constant issues in the apartment, mainly leaks that never get repaired properly or in a timely fashion. Landlord's motto is, "if you don't like the apartment, get out." In addition, the building is infested with roaches, stairwell is grimy, and the super does not speak any English.
