“I’ve lived here for seven years, everything has been awesome until recent management took over the leasing office. The property manager Darla, is unfriendly, unhelpful, unprofessional and is a dis-service to this community. She makes it known that she’s extremely busy, she never smiles. Every encounter that I’ve had with her wasn’t a pleasant one. She slammed her hand down on her desk, angry at me once. Her assistant Christian is worse! Don’t move here!! YOU’VE BEEN WARNED ??”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“***DO NOT MOVE HERE*** People are constantly getting robbed, cars are getting broken into and or on cinder blocks. No security guard can help the man is in his late 60's cant even walk at all. We tell the front office an they dont do nothing about it. LeRoy is the maintenance guy, hes the laziest rudest person. He will blame you if something breaks. He doesnt ever want to fix anything. We tell the front office an they say thats just the way he is that everyone complains about him but they dont do anything at all. They will literally let anyone move in. They claim that we need a parking pass to park our cars yet the parking lot is full of cars of people who DO NOT LIVE HERE.. the gate is always broken, CAMERAS DO NOT WORK... They claim that they are doing everything to help our community yet complain when we tell them whats going on around the apartment complex. ** FLOODS WHEN IT RAINS** the drains do not work, your car will flood in the inside. MORAL OF THE STORY DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME MOVING HERE UNLESS YOU WANNA GET ROBBED AT GUN POINT OR GET YOUR CAR JACKED”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“Was a resident here almost 4 yrs. My lease was up in the end of July and the last 10 days I decided not to continue living here, reason being with Covid -19 and the mold these apartment carry I decided that I was not going to sign another year lease. (For health reasons) Had molded Washing Machine and shower. I put a work order in June 23 to have my washing machine fixed. Month goes by never heard anything back from supervisor maintenance. Maintenance supervisor tells me I should treat people how I want to be treated. I am asking for my washing machine to be repaired not your counseling. But I did capture a photo of maintenance spending hours either sleep or hanging out across from apartment with no mask on inside apartment. If you want to save your health dont bother moving here, they paint over mold .I have seen guys in bio hazard suits clearing out mold from this place. I didn't want to waste another penny staying here. But I ended up getting charged for the month of August because short notice. But I moved for health code reason ( MOLD) and even went as far as purchasing my own mold test to get tested for sampling (Black Mold) I stayed in a hotel for 4 nights because management told be me due to covid-19 I needed 24hrs move out before they could do inspection. I requested a walk through inspection with management and she gave me Friday 7/31 date but no time. So when I arrive Friday after checking out of my hotel they tell me inspection was done. I was lied to saying the inspection was done Friday morning but the inspection walk thru paper was dated 7/30/20 so I wasted so much time and hotel money going off there word. After being a resident here for almost 4 yrs management stop answering my emails. I even asked for corporates contact information and still no email reply. What a waste of time referring anyone here. SAVE YOUR MONEY Your Car WILL GET DAMAGES BUNCH OF SCRAPES AND MY SUN ROOF ON THE LAST WEEK CAVED IN I HAVE PHOTOS FOR MY RECORDS THAT I TOOK AND THE WINDOWS INSIDE YOUR APARTMENT ALL THE LOCKS ARE WEAK AND BROKEN.”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“Apartments are horrible here, break in's every week! More than 15 cars just this month (November) have gotten broken into. When we spoke to the front office about incident Michelle the so called office manager's first response was " let me pop my blood pressure medicine" she's horrible! So unprofessional, ------ af, always has an attitude, and doesn't know how to talk. She says there's nothing they can do about the break ins. She wants us as tenants to be watch dogs for this apartment instead of hiring security guards. The newspaper South belt Ellington leader interviewed her, her response was there are breaking all over the place. Only reason they recently hired a so called rent a cop is because they were reported to the news. Any good review that is placed here is fake. Ask anyone living in these apartments they will tell you it's not even worth a star. Also the maintenance guy who walks around cleaning up always shows to work drunk and angry. He's the Caucasian man. They except anyone with a felony or any kind of charges. Kids smoking weed and selling drugs all over the parking lot.”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“I've lived there for 18 months, and I've had no major issues outside of a few annoyances. 1. Bugs. In the summer you get those roly poly bugs nonstop, as well as these weird little centipede looking things. In the spring you get inundated with ants that seemingly come out of nowhere. They supposedly exterminate every week, but I can't tell. 2. They started a parking pass policy and created designated parking spots for visitors, but only 20 spots total for the entire complex. Often times your guests cannot park for risk of being towed. 3. Security. There has been at least one break-in and a neighbor of mine was attacked by a stranger. There is a big gap in the fence that separates this complex from the one adjacent to it, so strangers off the street can get in. They spent money on new pool furniture but can't seem to buy a few wood fence planks. They cost $2 ea at Home Depot. Mostly it's quiet aside from the occasional rowdy neighbor, and the place is well maintained. The public "bbq" areas are very narrow. It's a small complex overall. The appliances are average at best. You have to buy 100K in renter's insurance which is silly. No one in an apartment has 100K worth of anything. The manager is professional but everyone else could care less, and they sometimes leave early on weekends without posting any sort of notice.”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“I lived there a long time...about 8+ yrs. I lived all the way in the back. It was the most peaceful place to be. When I initially moved there it was predominantly elderly people who lived back there. As they moved or was otherwise relocated, even the next set of people that were moved back there were not unruly or too crazy. Yes I could hear noise throughout the years, but it was never to the point of having to call somebody. I've only had to call somebody because of a domestic disturbance once and that couple soon moved. The tenants were very friendly and we looked out for each other. I mainly dealt with Susan in the office, she was as sweet as can be. She definitely was there for me throughout the years especially when I was laid off and unemployed for more than a year. I was receiving help for my rent and she never made me feel bad about that. She always worked with me to keep me as a resident. Michelle of course was ok, she's never gotten out of line with me, but she was definitely no Susan. I recommend this property, but I caution you to show up at night and kind of figure out what part you want to live in. I've visited recently and I must say that the tenants have changed, more folks hanging out than when I was there. The rent was VERY reasonable compared to the amenities offered. Never had a pest problem, but I kept my apartment exterminated whenever I got the occasional flying pests that would fly in during the summer/hot months. Maintenance is always courteous and efficient. Down to replacing the light bulbs outside of the apt. I was never harassed or had any trouble whatsoever over there. A nice pleasant place that I loved to call home. I would move back there in a heartbeat if I could, but I would want my same apt.”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“ive been living here for awhile and ive seen ppl come and go... I've had noisey unruly neighbors and ive had quiet. I will say you can't blame people for their actions this is an apartment complex that's open to the public... I love it here the people in the office are nice and I'm sure they have bad days as well so to some who say they are rude congrats on never having a bad day... the maintenance is quick and polite. I have nothing negative to say... except about the parking depending on where u live and what time you get home you might have to hike home wish we had assigned parking! other then that! I love it here... I hate when ppl try to downtalksomething cause it didn't work out for them... its an apartment complex in Texas... keep it clean and you might not be worried with roaches!”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“I CURRENTLY LIVE HERE AND HAVE BEEN FOR THE PAST 3 YRS. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WHAT SO EVER. I THINK MANAGEMENT ARE VERY NICE AND COURTEOUS. ANYTIME THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH OUR APARTMENT IT USUALLY GETS TAKEN CARE OF WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS.”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“I was really surprised to read the negative comments about Altmonte Apartments. I am a current resident and I havent had any of those problems. Maybe there has been a change in management or something but,it's a very safe place to live. I am a single, sexy, middleaged women who feels very safe living at Altmonte Apartments and would/ recommed the complex to anyone who wants a place to call home.”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“I lived there for a year and it was downright ------, the manager (michelle) acts like shes from the ------ herself but thats probably because her man just got out of prison, she cant control her tenants, they broke into my neighbors apartment in broad daylight, manager didnt even warn tenants, and when I left after my lease they tried to say I left a mess and charged me 500 in damages but that was a lie, they were mad because I wouldnt sign another lease, save yourself some drama and dont move in here.”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“I love my neighbors...and thank GOD I trust them..but this place is going downhill FAST. Last weekend there was a shooting and drug bust in the parking lot. The manager always says (if there is an issue) that it's inevitable. There are sex offenders living on site, convicted felons (drug charges), and LOTS of break in and vandalism. THe manager Michele, is horrible and lazy. The rest of the staff is amazing. Ms. Suzi and Adam make this place bearable. The parking is horrible, it floods like CRAZY. Good place to live for a SHORT period but definitely not safe and NO PLACE FOR A FAMILY.”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“My husband and I have lived here for four years and have seen many improvements. We also have many neighbors who have been here for many years. Like many apartments not everything is perfect. One of the main problems is the flooding in the parking lots during hurricane season, but then again this whole Southeast side of Houston floods very easily. We always park across the street when we know a huge storm in heading our way. One of the things we enjoy about the apartments here is how quiet it is especially at night. I enjoy having my own gated front porch and my own laundry room. The neighbors are nice but most just keep to themselves. Another plus is that it is a pet friendly environment. In the four years we've seen very diverse people move in and out. Most trouble makers, if any, don't last long. When I go and visit friends or family in OTHER apartments I hear how loud it is and see how many people are walking around and going in and out of peoples places and I feel lucky & safe to live in Altmonte Apartments. The 24 hour call service, maintenance, & security guard that lives on site is also a plus.”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“Me and my fiance moved in there in july from dallas. They appeared to be nice and the staff were very attentive and honest about things that weren't perfect. I didn't have problems with the apt. The only issue i ever had was that there were ants and the ice maker made nasty ice. My cause for concern is the managment! In december i was walking to my apt and a neighbor stopped me and proceeded to verbally harass me and told me things that i couldn't even repeat the police later. I went to the apt manager, Michelle White, and told her that i didn't feel comfortable living in my apt anymore and that i wanted to move. At this time i told her what happend. She told me things like " girl why are you crying? Are you about to start you rag?" She told me that, that was his personallity and that he was a "bullshitter". She told me that if i didn't feel comfertable i could move to another apt and pay the transfer fee. She is a very unprofessional manager, and is an embarssment to peole that have to even waste their time talking to her. To my suprise the night before we moved out the guy who harassed me lived next door to his bestfriend, he was hitting on his bestfriends girlfriend and by the end of the night guns were pulled out and shots were fired! Michelle had told me that the guy that harassed me was harmless and wouldn't hurt a fly. Before you move here, think about how much your safety and your children's safety mean to you.Because of all the isses we were let out of our lease and we are extremly happy at our new apt.”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“From 2006 to present is like night and day. The apartment manager Michelle O. White does not give a care about anything, but the money in her pocket. Cut the cost so I can look good. They say there is security here. NOT! There is a courtsey gaurd who does nothing. Does not answer phone calls for help or assitance. When given leads to a problem, does nothing to fix the problem. I highly recommed a gun if you live here. They have repairs issues. There are no notice sent out when they are coming to do work or are doing work. Request for repairs are NOT handle in a timely manner. This apartment complex floods very badly. Management does nothing ot help fix the problem. It is not a city flood issue it is a complex drainage issue. Lately they have let whatever and whoever move in. There is known drug dealers living here and managment does nothing to get them out. Prostitution has become part of the nightly business. Sex at the pool area and dark spots of the complex on regular bases.”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“I really like it here... I have a room mate and the floor plan is perfect for us. It's a fairly quiet place and maintenance is very good and quick. I have never had bugs in my partment, and the office staff is awesome. What more can I say? I love it here is will be renewing my lease in September. :)”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“I lived at Altmonte for over 8 years never had a problem. The reason I moved was because I bought a house otherwsie I would still be there. The office staff has always been friendly and when requesting maintance it was always done before I got home from work. I know ther has been lots of tenants that live here longet then I have with no problems.
”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“i moved here after reading the reviews. even though almost all the reviews i read were bad i figured it couldn't be that bad because the actual apartment complex was gated and looked decent. boy was i way wrong. im a single mother of one and after living there for a month and a half my truck was broken into. the office management was so unhelpful. i felt unsafe living there. needless to say i had to break my lease and ended up paying almost $2,000 for breaking the lease. im glad to be out of there and hope this helps someone considering on moving there. don't do it unless you have a crappy car and if you are not afriad of getting robbed... oh and the area floods really bad...”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“Everywhere you go there's going to be some kinda ---- that goes on. Nobody's ever gonna be 100% safe. I've been a resident here for a short while and was notified by the office of auto-break ins. Good grief!!!
The only thing I can say is that anytime you live with a mix of people your gonna get mixed in with some animals. Get a license, get a gun and feel a little safer or just plain ole get a house. I'm just glad that the office was courteous enough to send us residents a notice. As for the rent, usually the higher the better for some. It's usually the lower income places where thugz seem to roam.”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“I've lived here two years and have found Altmonte to be quiet for the most part (you will always have loud cars or people anywhere) Sound like to me the review before is one of the properties surrounding our area. Every maintenance request I have had has been fixed and usually taken care of the very same day. I have no problem with bugs. Parking isnt a problem unless you get home really late. The office staff is usually friendly and the hours are good so that your needs are met. The only downside, and it isnt the apartments fault, is the flooding when really heavy rains fall, but I guess any complex or small street will have that problem when you have rains coming down at 4 inches an hour. I know some people who have lived here for quite a while and even though they may not be 100% in love with this place they're quite content to stay. I am one of them.”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“I moved in a few months ago. I wish I didn't. Twice since I've been here, it has flooded and I wasn't able to go to work. Heavy rains cause the parking lot to flood. I drive a truck and could get out. Even if you are able to get out of the complex, you will have a problem on Beamer and Fuqua. It floods really bad.”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“Yeah pot smokin thugs. Ditch this freakin place. I would feel embarrassed to be seen at this place.”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“The staff is extremely helpful and takes and interest in the residents. The property is well maintained and secure. The location (near the Metro Park and Ride) cannot be beat!. In summary, this is a great place to live.”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“You can always tell when management changes because they allow anyone to move into the apartments. These apartments use to be the hardest apartments to get into not anymore. They are continually going up on prices and not offering nothing. Their gates are always open so that allows any and everyone come in to the complex then they wonder why there are so many burglaries and crime in the complex. They don't come out when you're having a problem with your apartment right away. Last year our air conditioning unit went out 5 times not one time did they replace it. Our apartment flooded twice last year due to a pipe that burst which could have been avoided if they hadn't done any "patch work" and gotten another company to fix. So now I'm moving out.”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“A person needs to take these reviews with a grain of salt. 20% negative to 80% either positive or hasnt ran into any problems. I've been here a few months and the only problem I can see is parking. They should make it so you have assigned parking at least, but I've not had to park too far way. The apartment was clean when I moved in and what little repairs I've had to have they've been prompt and fixed them. They're weekend hours are kind of messed up. When they say what their hours are for the weekend and you go there (especially Sunday's) and they're not they need to decide if they'll be open on Sun's or not. I would recommend these apartments to someone I know who would be a good tenant. I hope I continue to be happy here.”
— 10925 Beamer Rd · Houston“i signed a lease for 9 months and was out in 3. this place really sucks. my vehicle got broken into, needless to say i'm a single mother living alone with my daughter. i no longer felt safe so i packed up to move. needless to say 5 days after i moved management called to say they had leased my apt out already. How did they know i wasnt just getting new furniture in my apt. dont move in. it will be the worst thing you could ever do.”
