“Don't come here!!!! My husband and I been trying to leave here.. no hot water for two days. My car been broken into and it was caught on camera and they didn't care. Office staff and maintenance are lazy. Maintenance don't fix nothing until a month later. I'm currently pregnant and I had the a/c on and my restroom ceiling was leaking I called them and told them about it and they said okay. Now the second time me going to the restroom I slipped and thank god I didn't fall! I end up calling my mom and told her, she then called the office at 4:something and they was already out of there. So she spoke to the call center people who contacted the maintenance crew. He came and told me not to put the a/c on 50. I told him it was on 75 and it still leaked. And he said I'll be back tomorrow and never showed.. I have black mold on all of my vents and they refuse to come check them out and on top of that I keep asking for a new air filter and nothing. We been having the same air filter since we moved in.. they rather speak to me and not my husband because he intimidated them. But little do they know I'm worst. The only reason why we here because my husband wanted the 500 a month rent and they allowed him to use his passport to get an apartment no social or a real check stub he only had to provide a notarized letter from his employer.”

“My name is Daniel and I lived here 12 years or since 2004 in July 29 I moved. At that day I was happy because I am tired of these cheap aprtments like the pool don't open and it had bed bugs issues and the gate when your leave or get in sometimes it gets stuck oh and also the how it looks is bad and it looks like the apartments are tared down and I recommend you that do not live there because I lived so horrible in those apartments it felt like if I lived in a abondend apartments so please, please don't live here but i hope in the future this apartments they teared it down ??”

“Run! Do not rent from these apartments! There is a bat infestation that has been going on for months now! Theres bat feces all over the cars, and there is an awful smell inside everytime the AC cranks up.Im listening to them crawling around and squeaking behind the bathroom wall now. Sounds like they're in the apt with me! My husband has called the office several times and each time they tell us they're working on it.Yeah right! There are huge roaches, we have the bug guy spray every couple wks.The pool is hardly open, theyll have it open for 2 weeks then shut it down bc it "didnt pass inspection" There are feral dogs and cats that crap huge loads everywhere, my ('95) car had been broken into and looked like someone tried to hotwire it. They dont keep up with the landscaping as often as they should and there is trash everywhere, people going thru the mail and throwing the ads all over the mailroom floor. I hear gunshots every few months over by the surrounding apts complexes. The only good thing I can say is at least HPD cleaned up on the prostitutes we had across the street. I cant wait to get my family the hell out of this place!”

“The tennis courts are not kept. No nets and teens hangout all hours. The gym is not open, never has been. The pool opened for 1 week, then the county shut it down again. The red tag says it's closed due to fence and cloudy water. Huge gaping potholes are opening up, again. Some one drove into the outer wall of the apts in the back. The caution tape fell and it'sstill open. If you ever want to speak to the owner, he's there, you just can't get past Erica. There are w/d hookup. The laundrymat they provide is dirty, expensive and they dont work.”

“i dont recomend this apartments. yes it is cheap, but its not worth it. theres rats, ants and roaches. my sister lives in this apts and she got her car stolen. they never showed her the video which the camera was pointing at. i dont think they even work. im just waiting for my contract to finish.”

“BAD APARTMENT!!!! A lot of roaches nd a/c doesnt work most of the time... they just paint over evrything they even painted on top of a fly!! i got my car stolen and i didnt even had 2 months living here. Yes they say they have cameras but they couldnt see who stole my car, is not like if the car went flying. Honestly i dont think they record. I wish there was just a 6 month contract or no contract. they need to fix EVRYTHING!!! including the parking spots. The gates are always open and it closed before we went thru and scratched our truck. BAD people in the office. Once i went to talk to the manager she was just talking drinking something and when she saw me she went to her office and i tried talking to her then she said she was busy. She just ignored me.I wish there is something i could do.”

“I live here for one year. In those twelve months I had my apartment flood 5 times, roaches overthrow my house 4 times, my car broken into 2 times (and the cameras caught it on tape!), my carpet molded 5 times and they did nothing to correct it! they painted over the mold and only sucked up the water and put some "anti-molding" spray on it(and it still molded). the main staff in the office are very nice but they are also racist. If you are -------- (and I'm not being racist) you are accepted and treated correctly. If you are white, they are not as nice to you but you will get results from them. If you are African american though, you are treated like ---- and are called racial slurs behind your back. (trust me MY husband had this happen to him!) The big stuff they lack is proper allocation of parking, basic knowledge of maintenance, and proper knowledge that MOLD WILL CAUSE HEALTH PROBLEMS! I suffered from nose bleeds while living there and before moving there I never suffered one. they have cameras which is a plus( ) but with out proper placement they do no good. If you decide to get a town home, be wary of the downstairs bathrooms. they flood ever 2-4 months. due to poor management of the waste. The neighbors are very nice... except when it comes to parking spots. the big problems with my town home included: -bad paint jobs (the paint peeled off of the banisters, counters, and anything wood.) -the mold was painted over with white paint so they didn't have to clean it. -they cut a hole in my wall behind my stove to fix a problem outside (which is OK) but they covered the hole with a/c duct tape after stuffing a rag into it (some silvery tape that sticks not normal duck tape) - the upstairs bathroom- the wall holding the faucet/shower head and nobs... was caving in from all the mold.(the tub was also breaking) - the flake board used to make the cabinets was breaking apart. -when we first moved into my apartment there was NO fridge. none nada zilch. I had to call and ask where it was. -when we were flooded, it was not considered an "emergency" for them to come clean it up. Please understand I am only stating the facts. I am not trying to bad mouth any part of this company just trying to make everyone understand the circumstances.”

“Renters beware there is a BED BUG ISSUE and they won't address the issue.Protocol with the problem if the owner gave a crap is send terminex or who ever to the apt with the issue,than they need to inspect that freaking building to make sure the orther resident are not infected.My advice to all renters that are considering living here,if you can help it don't.The owners are slumlords and it is a shame because we all deserve to live in a good place. And here is a fun fact the leasing agent at the property lives in the same building so if she did not know here is a heads up darling mabe we can get something done in BUILDING 2 Please!!!!!!!!!”

“I HAVE LIVED AT THE WESTWOOD FOUNTAINS SINCE NOVEMBER OF 2010. ONE WEEK AFTER MOVING IN MY APARTMENT FLOODED LEAVING MY LIVING ROOM COMPLETELY COVERED IN BATHROOM TOILET WATER. THEY SUCKED UP THE WATER AND CLEANED THE SEWAGE LINE TO MY AREA OF THE COMPLEX BUT THAT IS ALL THAT WAS DONE. TWICE NOW IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN. AND STILL NOTHING HAS HAPPENED TO CLEANING MY CARPET. NOW MY FIANCE AND I ARE DEALING WITH NOSEBLEEDS AND ALLERGY PROBLEMS BECAUSE OF THE MOLD GROWING UNDER MY CARPET AND UP MY LIVING ROOM WALLS. IT HAPPENED FOR THE THIRD TIME ON SUNDAY, MAY 8, MORNING. IT TOOK UP TO THIS MORNING, MAY 11TH. FOR THE MAINTENANCE TO CLEAN THE CARPET. I HAD TO CALL THE COMPLEX MANAGER TO MY APARTMENT TO LOOK AT THE PROBLEM. ALL SHE SAID WAS THAT SHE WAS GOING TO HAVE THEM STEAM CLEAN MY APARTMENT. BUT BY "STEAM CLEAN" THEY MEAN SUCK UP WATER, THATS IT. I HAVE BEEN OFFERED TO NOW HAVE TILE PUT INTO MY APARTMENT BUT WHAT IS TILE GOING TO TO WHEN THE WATER IS LEAKING FROM MY TOILET THAT THEY STILL WONT FIX.”

“If you want lies all the time from the management, this is the place to be. They do not pay any attention to the current residents. Complaints just are NOT acknowledged. Why would one tenant be allowed FIVE vehicles (Including two huge vans)when all others are only allowed ONE? And is allowed to park backed in so that his bumper presses against the gates and no one can get in or out of the apartments?<br>I have witnessed at least THREE drug deals going down PER WEEK but yet the management does nothing about it. They say the tenant has been issued eviction notices but yet they are still here!<br>I was NOT allowed to see the apartment I am in now until AFTER I signed the lease and gave them the money. They put me right at the tennis courts(???) which are being used for a basketball court. Just imagine listening to a basketball being bounced off the concrete ALL DAY LONG! Then there is NO policing of the noise levels when neighbors play their stereos!! <br>I did file a complaint with the Houston Apartment Association but the management has NOT improved one iota!<br>In summation: DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!”

“I've been living in this property since the end of october in 2006. I really can't complain, whenever i go to the office to report something it gets done in a precise manner and without hesitation. I always pay on time and never have any problems. Yes, the area is pretty rough, but before I moved in I already knew the type of area I was living in. Those people that complain about their deposits and stuff really don't know what's expected of them. Usually there's a lot of fine print in any application or lease where you have to put down money and is the person signing it responsibility to read all that before they sign anything or give any money. I made sure I did and I've always gotten mymoney back in many of the apartments I've lived in.”

“The complex used to be owned by a corporation. Though the neighborhood left much to be desired, the staff at the complex were professional. After moving in I received notice that the complex had been sold. The new owners were nothing but rude and unprofessional. The staff would deliver notices at 10 pm. The maintenance or repair requests were never completed at my apt, but yet the maintenance man would come in and out of my apt without notice. At night he would walk in to the back patio and go into my storage room without notifying me. When I informed the managers they responded they did not have to notify me - they had the right to walk in and out as they pleased. I reported a tenant for stalking to the managers, and though they assured me full confidentiality, they divulged my identity to the perpetrator. That only endangered my life even more. The lock on my door had been tampered with, and when I reported it they did nothing about it. I pleaded that they transfer my lease to an apt on the other side of the complex (the guy lived a few doors down from my apt, and I was trying my best to avoid a broken lease), but they refused. I attempted to make other arrangements in order to move out, but they were callous and unreasonable. I sought out the support of the Houston Apartment Association, but the managers were relentless. The complex's appearance started deteriorating. The apartments were no longer being fumigated, the outside was unkempt, when calling maintenance requests in -- nothing would get done. Crime within the complex started to increase - cars broken into. I weighed my options - live to tell about it with a broken lease vs miserably live in an unsafe environment that may have caused my life but honor the lease. I am alive and talking about it.”

“Lied about move in specail and being part of the Houston Apartment Association. Would not refund my deposit after I decided to live else where due to apartments being in an unsafe location. They stole my money, and refused to let me rent the apartment after I decided I would just stay.<br>Do not come here, they will take everything you have.”

“I am starting school at westwood college this week and have, for some odd reason, chosen westwood fountain apartments as my place of living. I was supposed to move in there last saturday.. two weeks ago and they have yet to start cleaning my apartment. I would not recommend them to anyone!!”

“I bet The management stuff are the worst in the world. The community is dangerous. There was a terrible murder last year, many TV stations reported it. Search it: yahoo local news: houston, westwood fountains.<br>They tried to steal my deposit when I moved out. I finally got back part of my deposit after threating to sue them.<br>Never , never think it as your home!!<br>”

“The management team of this apartment complex was so bad I refused to move in. I gave a 300.00 deposit, and was told I would recieve half off my first month's rent, and another half off of the sixth month, because i was willing to sign a years lease. there was a three week period prior to my appointed move in date in which time I paid my deposit, however when i came to pay the first months rent, and view the apartment, it was never cleaned. i told management who INSISTED IT WAS CLEAN....OBVIOUSLY OUR DEFINITION OF CLEAN IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT. WHEN I EXPRESSED MY DISPLEASURE, AND TOLD THEM I WANTED MY MONEY BACK AS I HAD ONLY SIGNED THE LEASE LESS THAN HOURS BEFORE, THEY TOLD ME NO THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME ANYTHING BACK....SO, I CHALK IT UP TO EXPERIENCE.....CHEAPER IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER, AND IF SOMEONE IS TOO EAGER TO GIVE IN TO YOU, SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY WRONG!!!!!”

“The actual apartment I lived in wasn´t so bad, it was the neighborhood that is awful. If you don´t want to be kept awake at night by the sounds of people screaming, gunshots, sirens, and constant noise in the parking lot, then don´t even think about living here. I was afraid to go outside. I was afraid to be inside toward the end of my 6-month "sentence" there. The management was incredibly rude and unhelpful, they send me letters accusing me of doing various things that I never did, they told me they were going to raise my rent before my lease was up (good for me because it gave me an excuse to leave a month early), and they never repaired things that needed to be repaired. The service guy for the apartments once knocked on my door past 10pm and kept knocking until I got out of the bath, got dressed, and opened the door. It was a nightmare.”
