“I live here at the apartments. I am only home two weeks out of the month and within them two weeks It never fails we lose power Centerpoint is the electric company that the apartment uses and if you look at their reviews they are a horrible company so if you want to deal with this problem, then move in at these apartments”

Even during rush hour traffic, it takes about five minutes, not 25, to get to any major highway or the beltway. With that being said, my experience has been less than stellar and has caused me much emotional stress, The maintenance man, Norman is awesome. The one time I interacted with the owner, (Sylvia, the property manager was on personal leave), was very nice. He responded to my requests, emails, and phone calls in a timely manner and professionally. My issues with the property was the actual apartment that I was living in. The carpet was old and dingy. Manager refused to replace it. If the people upstairs poured oil into the kitchen sink, it would cause my AC to leak into the dining room and sour the carpet. The carpet people pulled up the padding but only patched in some areas with different heights (all thin) of padding. They also left exposed nails where the carpet meets the flooring. The dishwasher was never replaced but looked at 3 times by the repairman and completely unusable for 18 of the 26 months that I was there. The hot water took 20 minutes (at least) to heat. I was told that it had so far to travel to my unit since I was on the first floor and water heater is in the attic above the 2nd floor apartment. The 2/2 are spacious with a split floor plan. My complaint is the rent increased from $850 to $1170 in the 26 months I was there, with no upgrades to the apartment at all. Sylvia is the property manager and she is no nonsense and willing to work with you, if you communicate with her. The property is too expensive for the price they are leasing, with no amenities, (no business center, no gym, no trash pick up,and the pool closed for more than a year and only in the summer, pre-covid. My apartment was broken into and I had to pay for the window. Lately there has been a stream of vandalism and broken windows. There are no gates, cameras, or security. All in all, the staff is lovely but my apartment was a lemon.”

There is no security, no gates, anyone can come in and out and throw trash in the dumpster and make an ugly mess, and then you have 2 cars who always pull in and park in the front and do drug exchanges. I told the manager but she does NOTHING! she doesn't care, even the maintenance man has seen them. Someone tried to open my door, my baby and nephew were w me. it was scary. The apartments are noisy, other tenants are always playing loud music. if your vehicle doesn't have a parking sticker it gets towed. Silvia the manager has no mercy on you. Oh the manager is another thing. Very unprofessional.. She keeps that office so dirty and nasty. Her appearance is appalling, she looks dirty, wears pajamas, never brushes her hair. not professional at all. I don't know where they got her from. she will lie to you! I lived here for 11 years w my mom and transferred to a unit when I got married. these apartments use to be good. The old manager Janice was a good person, she always took care of her tenants. everyone liked her. its sad that I'm moving out, I lived her for so long. but I have a child now and her safety is our priority. its affordable yes, but these apartments are just not safe.”

The managers niece had her car shot up and her apartment broken into in broad daylight!after moving she never called or mailed me a crazy bill about smoke detectors and holes in the wall until it came on my credit report!would not recommend this place unless your a drug user!”
— 6415 S LAKE HOUSTON PKWY UNIT 502 · Houston“First of all... Let me tell you. The Manager Mrs Mora is very RUDE; Rude as can be. She has no mercy on people and she shouldn't be working there. She has no customer service training at all. The maintenance guy is very nice and knows what he is doing. He is the only one that has good manners. He should be the manager. Robberies are very common here.”

Although I wasn't there very long, I quickly realized that the office manager (Janice) and the maintenance man were very helpful. The location is great, the schools in the area are Galena Park I.S.D. and wonderful. You can easily get anywhere in town because the belt way and loop 610 are minutes away. I never had a hard time getting things done and to be honest, there was never anything major that needed taking care of. I viewed the apartment before I moved in and it was in excellent condition. Ms. Janice was very easy to work with and more than willing to help out the families under her care. I am now living in San Antonio but I miss The Woods very much. Thank you for a great living experience, wish I was back in your community. Rita”
