“Quiet for the most part. People walk around with multiple animals, big and small and do not pick up their droppings. Neighbors blast their music at all times of the day and night. Animals roam free without supervision. Cats are everywhere. They come on your balcony or porch and poop or tear at your garbage bags. Front frak never answers the phone. They will come in your place without notifying even if you request them to let you know. Bugs,bug,bugs. I've had mold on my around my vent and a bad smell coming from it. Temporary fixes. Can't wait to leave”

“Since I been here the complex have gone through 3 or 4 new managements, gate always broken, always have something on with the water, or them adding things to the complex that we(the tents) have to paid more in rent(that we dont won't or can afford). The parking is crazy as well and the pests is crazy as well.”

“The overall living experience of Reserve at Westwood Apartments has been amazing. It's extremely convenient, quiet, and reserved. Unfortunately, the management staff has been hugely unprofessional. This is a reoccurring happening ever since I moved in. It is the holidays, now, and I HOPE that the office can get everything up to a more pleasant standard.”

“The management SUCKS !!! I've been complaining to them that my apartment has mold in the vents ever since I moved in, I've even shown them pictures and videos and they have never taken action. They don't really care.”

“Area use to feel safer. Security walked or rode around complex during day and night. Paying $15/mth for trash pk up is a little much when they don't pk up trash 7 days/wk., don't pk up after 6pm or even by the next morning or even skip our apt.sometimes. The exterminator always came, never only 20 apts. a week and used chemicals that worked. We constantly have different types of bugs and roaches which can't be controlled daily. We need for them to use stronger chemicals in all apts. We have been told that the condition of other apts. with a lot of trash,etc. could be the problem. Our door can't be fixed. There are openings all the time. They have to use small patches in the door frame to adjust it for a while. Thank you”

“It takes forever for the maintenance to come and fix anything ?.. I've waited over 4 months just for them to fix my toilet. They don't answer phone calls or emails nor do they pay attention to the communication they put on the app to help communicate with the residents. They do not get back with you in a timely fashion nor do it look like they are even trying to do such which is why I'm looking for a new place ?. My car got broken into and they did nothing? then not the so called security we have there 24/7 now some how nobody seen anything and nothing was done”

“Let me start by saying this community has gone through 3 management companies on the course of me living here. The staff barely answers the phones and units aren't up to date. I've had multiple instances in the past Month of my air conditioner going out. Alongside ongoing pest problems that have yet to be resolved aside from my own traps set. I called the health department and the apartment was sprayed but management has yet to do anything about it.”

“So far it's been really nice living here. Everything is good living here with da exception that I wish they would open da Gym so I could work out and get some exercise done but overall I've been very pleased with my stay here so far at Reserve at Westwood Apts.”

“Poor management, manager is never available to attend or take calls , she's always hidden on her office eating or "in meetings" Gates never close , extra fees for trash , GYM closed for a year, no computer room available if you need something printed you ask the leasing office and they don't do it for you Landscaping comes every now and then.”

“This place allows residents to NOT follow the rules. One is no dangerous dogs,everyone here has a Pitt bull,German Shephard, or Rottweiler. That they walk around the facility without without a leash.They also allow the residents to let their dogs poop anywhere without picking it up.Another issue I have is roaches in the apartment. Lastly the secure security is overly aggressive ie. Walking around with place is a joke I can't wait to move!! Don't expect to talk to anyone in the office because the phones go to voice mail. Other than those issues don't move here.”

“Since I moved to these apartments I am very happy they are nice and it is very quiet all day and night I would recommend them many times the shops are close these apartments are the best I have lived in I am very happy to live here the administration is very attentive to help in any damage oh problem thanks”

“For the first couple of years, I rented my apartment, the amenities were good and the community office used to listen to the grievances and provide relief. But recently nobody cares about the grievances. Many machines in the laundry room are not in working condition. The security inside the premises is lax. The landscaping around the apartments is awful. The office staff are mostly rude. The charges on our monthly rental bill are absurd. Overall it's a mess.”

“Personally it's splendid except for the small rough period precipitated by Covid-19. This was in 2020. Other than that, the community has been peaceful and my neighbors very cerebral. The management, although has changed hands about 2ce of 3ce, for each change there has been improvement in terms of how the complex is governed and their interpersonal relationship has been superb”

“It has been a pretty good Stay. The only problem I have is the dogs in the community, the Residents are not keeping chains on your pit bulls. 2 of those pit bulls have ran upon me. Coming home from work, that's a very scary situation.”

“I'm a satisfied with my apt and I'm love my 1 bedroom apt at the Reverse @Westwood neve have a problem with any one .because the only thing that the management need to do is let the tented to wen one tented is going to spread and drop bumps so that it can be Allowed the other tenants to know what they need to do about spreading for roaches wen they don't get the Exterminator to do wen the Exterminator don't have then on his paper work today go into if it was possible to do it ok”

“I have lived in this community previously when it was under different management. I moved out in 2017 because there was a shootout in the apartment below me and there was a murder. I moved back in 2022. The communication with management wasn't the best. I haven't had to go into the leasing office much since Indio Management took over. The one time I did, I spoke with a gentlemen about a service request regarding my dishwasher. It had been out of order for over four weeks. It was a major inconvenience. The gentlemen called maintenance and the issue was resolved the same day!!! I was ELATED. The landscaping is well maintained. There is an issue with roaches. Pest control needs to occur more often. The only other issue is the entrance gate is always broken and ANYONE can enter the community.”

“It's been ok. The laundry room needs improvement and the office staff is very unprofessional. The entrance to the apartment is unsecured. Needs significant improvement with security. The management company also needs to do better with all the prostitution in the area”

In a time frame of 6 months my apartment have been burglarized twice. my car has been stolen....I wouldn't recommend this Appartment even for my worst enemy... They should burn this Appartment to ground and build a hore house instead”

“I will be very honest. I've been living here since april of 2012, I've had no safety problem whats so ever. We did have a serial rapist during the summer time, but he was quickly caught. Really that can happen anywhere. The floor plans are really nice and cheap. I live in a 2x2.5 townhome that's only 699 p/m . The only thing I would say sucks is parking and maintenance. You have to call more than three times to get something done. My front door wont stay shut if I don't lock it. I called four times over a two week period and it's been 1.5 months now and still nothing. Roache aren't that bad. I've had about 6 big roaches in my apt, but if you spray raid you'll be fine.I mean this is texas you're bound to get some sort of insect. WE just got new owners JUDwiN managment. They are doing gorgeous renovations , but the staff hasn't changed , so maintenance still sucks. people complain about linda. she is my neighbor and I have nothing bad to say she is nice. I say yes”

“I just left this complex to inquire about renting a one bedroom apartment along with my spouse. The leasing agent (Linda) started off nice but things went downhill quickly. This complex has the stupid rule that you must show a paycheck stub in order to LOOK at an apartment because they need to make sure that you financially qualify to rent an apartment. In 47 years of living, I have never heard of such BS in all my life. You do not get to pry into my personal business (showing a paystub) until I SEE a property and decide that I would like to APPLY to live there!!! Then and ONLY then, will you get to see my pay check stubs. I can not speak to the condition of the apartments because we never got a chance to see one. I would not recommend anyone renting here especially with all of the bad reviews the complex gets.”

“I have been a resident at the Mills Apartments for almost five years. When I first moved into the community, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The entrance and exit gates worked and were consistently maintained. It was a very nice community to live in. But then the management changed, and it was not a good change. From there, things went downhill. There were prostitutes and drug dealers living on the property. Because the entrance/exit gates were no longer maintained, anyone could come and go whenever they pleased. There was no security at all. Frequently the exterior lighting was out. The entire community, including the landscaping and buildings, fell into disrepair, and it was scary to live here. There have been so many changes to management and staff during my residency - it seemed like every few weeks or months there was someone new running the office. The current property manager is named Sophia. Things have gotten better under her management. There is now 24/7 security for the community. Shady characters no longer come and go as they please. The rental rates at this community are extremely low, much more affordable than other communities in the same area. And they offer great renewal and referral bonuses. They have also fixed up the buildings and landscaping and the community is looking better than it has in years, and because of the security provided, it is also safer. However, despite the good changes I have seen, there is one thing that is seriously lacking: the maintenance. This is currently the only thing I DO NOT LIKE about this property. Not only do they take WEEKS to respond to any issue that is requested to be fixed, but it is often necessary for several requests to be submitted FOR THE SAME ISSUE before it is fixed correctly. The last few work orders I have called in have been closed out in their system without anyone having come to do the work. My dishwasher still does not drain properly, and if I try to use it, the nasty water just backs up and sits in the bottom of the machine. I have requested this several times and though they have come out to fix it, it has not been fixed as I am still dealing with the same issue. Every few months the AC unit will leak all over the bathroom, making a huge mess, and even though that is considered an emergency issue, it takes them weeks to come and fix it - and again, I have had to call them out again several more times before it was repaired and stopped leaking. The exterior lighting on my building has been out for more than a month - despite my reporting this several times they still have not fixed the issue, and it is a safety hazard for the lights to not be working. They have refused to repair the screen on my bedroom window, saying they no longer can replace the screen. It is full of rips and tears and I cannot open the window in cooler weather because bugs will get in through the holes. I have been in my current unit for almost 2 years, not once during this time have they offered to shampoo my carpet or do touch-up painting or anything like that. And whenever maintenance staff has entered my home to work on something, they leave a mess behind them. Also, a few months back, I requested the exterminator be sent to my unit to spray for bugs. No matter how clean I keep my home, bugs still find their way in. When I came home from work that day, the keys the exterminator had used were still in my front door and the door was unlocked. Anyone could have gotten in my home and stolen my property, or have been waiting to attack me when I got home. While the office manager expressed her outrage over this, I was never notified as to what steps had been taken to make sure this sort of thing never happens again. The office personnel are not as friendly as they should be, when talking with them you often get the feeling that they are trying to rush you off the phone. This should not be the case. If it were not for the residents, they would not have a job, yet somehow they fail to see this important fact. If the issues with management and maintenance would improve, I would be happy to stay in this community for many more years to come. However, because of the safety hazards and terrible maintenance (response time and work done), when my lease is up I will not be renewing with them. Unless something is done to rectify these issues between now and then, I will be moving.”

“this was my first apartment and first mistake!!!!no --------! this is no place to raise any child unless your teaching him/her how to deal drugs, be a prostitute or you just have no value for your life. i came to the property and also new to the area seeking the deal they we giving for 6 months AND I WAS TREATED LIKE I WAS A DAM CRMINAL.Im a 24yr old female with no kids thats works and comes home and i dont talk to anybody. the office staff is so rude and lazy. i asked for my mailbox to be fixed since the day i moved in until the day i left. Sophia needs a reality check or some ---- or to be plain fired!! she always has a nasty attitude and i only talked to her 2times out of the whole 6 months.IF YOU HATE YOUR JOB LEAVE DONT TREAT EVERYBODY LIKE YOUR DOING US A FAVOR. During my stay they were women being raped near my apartment and then all of a sudden these security guards come out of no where harrassing people(INDIAN SECURITY OFFICER)My stay was very stressful i always felt the need to watch my back!This place needs to shut down and restart with a different vision. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE WITH SELF RESPECT BECAUSE NONE OF THE PEOPLE SEEM TO HAVE IT. I WAS SOOO EMBARESSED TO TELL ANYONE WHERE I STAYED NO JOKE.IM SO GLAD MY LEASE IS UP ITS UNREAL! I WOULDNT LEASE HERE IF THEY GAVE ME FREE RENT, ID RATHER PAY TO GO ELSE WHERE!!!”

“I'm glad to know that because Linda gave my husband and I the run around for two weeks. Our move In date was suppose to be 8/8/12 an which we turn on the power and everything but our things still remains on a uhaul truck. I spoke with Sophia, on yesterday because Linda was off she said that they still have two shampoo the carpet and that it will take couple of hours to dry. Will be going pick up all money we have paid and call request for the lights to be turn off. I figure I was some shady ---- with them bchxx's in that office. I'm just gald we didn't make that mistake an move in. Lol!”

I moved in from out of state. I have 7 years perfect rental history they said no deposit, then come to find out after talking to my old Landlord they never called him to verify & wanted $500 deposit.Found this place on Rent.com. I read old reviews & called & asked to see if the bad reviews of the last Manager was still employed here the Bank has a new Receiver. The Staff & manager starts with the letter (S....A) are (ALL BAD!).. I pay my rent on time never been late. I am a single parent Father of a 5yr old daughter, I keep to myself & there has been Multiple Rapes, Burglaries & robberies here Google It if you think Im fibbing. They Hired a New Security Company & One Security guard name start with the letter (A....I) who is the daytime Supervisor I personally have caught him on Video tape drinking Alcohol they took a Blind Eye & are now trying to get Rid of me. Also they are Evicting tenants that put in too many Maintenance Request. Now Myself & 5 other tenants that I know of, have FAKE alleged Suspicious activity in & out of Apartment's which turned into 3 Violations of violating my Lease!!?? WTF I signed another Lease before the (60 DAY Notice to move) Now they gave me a letter saying that they were not going to Honor it. It starts in Sept 2012 I went & seen a Lawyer he said they Can Not do that.. Ill keep you updated My new Lease does not expire until Feb 2013. I went & asked them for a copy of my new lease they said the thew it away because it was not Valid..( WAIT UNTILL I SHOW THE JUDGE MY COPY, I KEEP COPY'S OF everything & you should too!! BUT WAIT!! THE OFFICE DOES NOT GIVE YOU A HAND WRITTEN OR COMPUTER GENERATED RECEIPT. THEY MAKE A COPY OF YOUR MONEY ORDER AND PUT INITIALS ON IT!!? The 19-year-old was the first of three women sexually assaulted by a violent predator. On Tuesday, Houston Police issued a plea to the public hoping to track him down. It s believed the man used an accomplice at The Mills Apartments to keep a lookout while the sexual assaults were happening. Nelson, of Fort Bend County, says his daughter had just moved into that complex with her fianc three days before this happened. I don t want another father, brother, uncle, dad, being in this position, Nelson explained. The 19-year-old was headed to her car to get a case of water on May 20 when she was ambushed. Nelson said she was held at gunpoint and taken to a nearby vacant apartment. That s when he said she was sexually assaulted and robbed of her ID and cash. He said he tried to notify the complex and was heartbroken to learn that two more sexual assaults occurred on the property. Let s protect these people that are living there, and nothing happens. (It) makes you upset that nothing changed over the course of 21 days, Nelson said. KHOU left a voicemail with management at the Mills Apartments on Tuesday night. It s unclear if security measures have been beefed up since Nelson s daughter was attacked there. The complex did let her out of her lease, and she is back with family in Fort Bend County.”

“I leaved here from sep 2010 to sep 2011 apt # 2113. Since all that time i had being reporting of my apartment being water leaking from top in the bath room and the crochet, low water pressure in the kitchen sink and gabbage disposal not working. Nothing was done. I used to pay my rent in time and i never failed to pay even a single month. I gave them a two month notice and by the end of the leese i left the premises that was 10/1/2011. On 10/2/2012 i noted i forgot an envelop with my inportant ducuments and some power safing bulbs, so i went in the office where i ask for the key so that i can take them but they refused telling me that they threw away averything they found there. To make the matter worse they put me into debt collector without notifing me that i ow them $ 940.68 (not true since i have all edidence that no month i failed to pay the rent) When i called them them they told me i left the premises on 10/31/2011 which is not true and i have enough evidence and witnesses”

I had to sit in a house with no ac for days bc the ownder refused to release funds to replace ac unit did i mention i was 9 mnths pregnant... oh how could i forget the bed bug situation where i payed ppl to come out and get rid of them twice only to find out that they kept coming back bc my neighbor werent made aware of situation so they never got rid of theres therefore they kept traveling bck down to my apt... no refund no offer to pay fees... management falsify documents lie and are just sorry”

“Where can I start? First, I had been living there for 3 months when I realized my apartment was in a different person's name. I went to the office to ask about it and they didn't have my lease, my application, or the copies of my TXDL, SS card, and check stubs that I had giving them. Then, I complained for MONTHS (October until last week) that my refrigerator, garbage disposal, dishwasher, kitchen light, and AC didn't work and that a leak in my ceiling often caused flooding in my bathroom. It wasn't until I opened a case with the Houston Apartment Association that anything was fixed. (And only the refrigerator and garbage disposal have been repaired. Still waiting on the AC to be fixed.) I absolutely can not wait until I can leave this property and I wouldn't recommend it to ANYONE.”

“The good reviews are a church advertising and probably THE COMPANY (The Mills) trying to make themselves look good.. It's all lies. There is Rent Increase constantly. They are trying to make the outside look good, but the inside has problems that are covered with some paint. Mold, mildew, structural problems, foundation problems, Rude office people and everyone refuses to give you the Management Company's Information. When you do get the information, nothing happens anyway. The crime rate is not any better, someone tried to break into my vehicle, the neighbors truck was stolen, the other neighbors television and computer was stolen and there is more.... Remember: Crime, Rent Increase, Make it look pretty to cover the problems, maintenance is minimal so problems continue, occasional security during the day, we need security all the time... it's not safe here, there are too many problem to list, drugs, drug dealers, drunks, trash everyday, condoms on the sidewalk, loitering all day and all night, prostitution in the parking lot, GOD help us all. Move to The Mills and become a victim of CRIME and RENT INCREASE”

“Short story, I asked the property manager a question in regards to my needing 4 days extra for paying my rent because I recently had a family member pass and helped with the funeral arrangements. She rudely told me that people die everyday and if everyone on the property had this problem then no money would be collected!!! I was apalled and I will be reporting her. This is not the first time that I have been aware of her negative or rude acts!! Someone please do something about Ms. Sanders please and thank you.”

“Obviously when you DO NOT pay your rent,you brake rules or are in default or fault for some reason, you would be upset. Anger does not let you think rationally or act as well. I believe most of the comments in this page are ridiculous and so far dated. Why is it that humans are quick to complaint or point out the bad or worse but lack in promptness when it comes to pointing out the good, the positive side of everything in general. This community has made a great and positive change. The crime rate as we once knew it has reduced a whole lot. It seems as if they brought under cover officers, pin point the bad apples and got them arrested.. The lights are working all nite and all time. Officers are now seen walking the property... I actually feel good about this place now. I am glad this is happening, because this is a beautiful property at some point it was loosing potential but a month back has really shown improvement... Management here is all new.... I know they have changed managers several times, but I think they finally got the right team on board. The spirit in the office is positive now, you can actually feel welcome. They are having meetings... the pools are about to be opened....our fitness center is finally available for us.. The people that live here are so much happier that you can actually feel it in the atmosphere. I am renewing my lease... no rent increase.... got my carpet cleaned...my walls painted...with a real pretty accent color that matches my furniture...and I got bunch of freebies... To all you guys in the office.. THANK YOU FROM MANY HAPPY RESIDENTS.. PLEASE DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE....A LOT OF US ARE FINALLY FEELING SAFE AND HAPPY...”

“The Mills Apartments have improve in a big way and is in NO WAY related to any of these comments. We have to understand that when rules are broken by a resident then management has to act upon them so we can continue to give our current families a beautiful and comfortable home. When management has to act on those who brake rules and regulations, obviously they will be upset and will write comments like the ones you find here. Furthermore; THE MILLS APARTMENTS is one of the nicest and friendly community in the southwest region of houston. We treat every one with exceptional respect and courtesy and we do BELEIVE in taking good care of our residents and their families. We have improved our community tremendously, our residents love it... they enjoy every single aspect of this community.... And you can trust that our office and maintenance staff are here to assist you and do what ever it takes to make you happy. “This place is way below standards of living conditions. I strongly suggest to lift up all of the old paint. You would probably find MOLD and MILDEW. The ac unit is very old and it pulls more energy then its supposed to. Complaints mean nothing here, they only try to cover their faults by blaming others. Say you make an complaint about your light bill. Its 209 for 1 bed room. That is no way when you grew up conserving energy. They will blame Centerpoint. You call Centerpoint to fix your situation and they tell you the true problem and now youre going back and forth like you some type of child and theyre your overseers. I will not even start to comment on the B...... in the office. I am not saying these words in a derogatory way i mean it by its true definition. Whoever the dude is that owns these apartments needs to come check his real estate and the people he chooses to hire. This was the Worse Experience Of My Whole Life. They trick people with their little special then they raise the rent then claim you owe late charges. My rent went from 469 to 555. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!”

“I lived at the Mills for 6 years and recently found out that i owe the Mills 179.00. I was never communicated to that i owe them for some repair (according to the person that i spoke with), after i left the apartment. I found out through my credit report and this is not funny. i am still waiting for a call back from the management to resolve this issue.”

“I lived at the Mills for one year from 2007 to 2008 and I couldn't wait until my lease was up. First of all, my apartment was crawling with small roaches. In fact, maintenance was apparently aware of this problem from the last tenant because there were dead roaches still left in the apartment the day I moved in! I found a HUGE one in a cabinet drawer in the bathroom. I was appalled that it was just left there for me to find. My apartment was exterminated but it didn't help at all. I just kept my apartment very clean and invested in some bottles of roach spray. Second, I couldn't use my DAMN oven! I had sparks that would appear every time I tried to use the oven. I called maintenance and all they did was replace one of the burners on top of the stove. The problem was never fixed. Third, at night when responsible residents are asleep because they have an 8-hour work day to deal with the next day, the rude residents would decide to argue loudly outside and want to fight each other. One night I was awaken by a crazy women screaming at the top of lungs looking for her daughter in one of the apartments beneath me. Another resident told the woman to shut up and go home. Lastly, the laundry facilities were crappy! They were very dirty and always had broken machines. When I was living there we had a security guard at the front gate but he was a young guy and eventually he was gone and never replaced. Also, for those who don't know this but when you ask your electric company to cut off your lights the apartment's electric company will automatically turn on their lights. So make sure the day you move out is the day your lights are scheduled to be turned off and give the apartment keys back. The only one good thing was that the rent was cheap but you know the old saying "You get want you pay for". Only stay here if you are desperate otherwise just keep looking!”

“This place isn't all that bad. Safety looks like it'd be an issue, but overall, it's not. Like I siad, can't say that this is the greatest of all apartment complexes. But if you're afirst time renter, this will work for you.”
