“I have nothing good to say about my time renting or leasing at the Woodlake townhouses. If you ever have problems or questions you should call their corporate offices, the employees there are also a great help and very professional and will do their best to help you with any of your problems or questions you have”
— 2600 Westerland Dr · Houston“Yeah they’re absolutely ---!! Having fake cameras in a garage and having poor management that does little to nothing. I bought a brand new Mustang a couple of months ago, left it in the garage parked and came back to it with tail light and bumper broken and falling apart. Went to the leasing office for camera footage and told me they would call me back.. its April and they never did. I have to pay for the damages out of pocket because those cameras don’t work and I’m pretty sure the person who did it still lives here and never got charged for anything (it’s a white truck btw so I’m looking forward to finding the person myself. Also maintenance likes to come in and out whenever they want and like to touch your stuff without leaving a note of what they did inside the apartments or what type of fixes they made. Also I’ve been telling the office to fix my mailbox ever since I moved in, they only did something about my complaint until 3 months after of me bothering them. They didnt bother to replace the whole thing and all they did was open the mailbox so anyone can get in it and grab the mail. Other residents say that they had worse things happen to them and not to mention they’re money hungry pigs. They will raise $100 to your rent each year you decide to stay. And that’s not coming from me it’s coming from someone who has lived there for three years and is sick of them. Y’all deserve all these negative reviews, and anything positive coming out of a tenant is shocking. No wonder my neighbors left and broke their leases. Y’all are horrible. Staff under management, I know it’s your job to do what you do. But you don’t have to always go along by what the manager tells you. I made a whole police report on my car too, yet you weren’t able to give me that camera footage. There’s someone from the company I got the car from that lives here and he noticed my plates one day and asked me what happened to my car and even he told me that the cameras don’t work and said the same thing happened to him. So stop lying to people saying they do work because they clearly don’t . I don’t want a sorry --- response from you, take the comment as it is. Have good rest of your day! Future tenants beware of what you’re getting yourself into and do not come live here, if you’re looking for something with better quality in management and living I recommend Anywhere else but here or anything owned by Tarantino properties. More updates.. I have pictures to prove the bug claims.. I didn’t have issues until these past couple of months. And I keep my space clean”

— 2600 Westerland Dr · Houston“WORST MANAGEMENT EVER, they take forever to fix anything I had no power one day (before the outage) and they take 16 hours for anyone to help me. And the ladies at the office DO NOT CARE ABOUT THERE TENITS I asked one lady why were the last ones to still have no water during the boil water (it’s been a week) the lady said ( who is everyone) so unprofessional. WERE IN A CRISIS AND WERE USING POOL WATER TO FLUSH -sincerely a mad ten-it that wants to move. DO NOT MOVE HERE ITS DUMP THEY ALSO OVER CHARGE AND HAVE ROACHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE FIRE EVERYONE IN THE OFFICE ANS HIRE PROFESSIONAL STAFF THAT CARE ABOUT US PLEASE”
— 2600 Westerland Dr · Houston“My experience since January has been awful. Never have I lived in an apartment where the tub chips when you try to clean it and the knobs are already broken upon entry. There's black mold on the air vents, in the bathroom and in the kitchen, it's ROACH infested and regardless of if you call for the pest control treatment (that costs you $75), you end up with more roaches than you started. I opened my pantry to find roaches crawling on my dishes!!! The staff says they will help and put work orders in, however it's taken me 3 months to get my toilet fixed and my tub is STILL PEALING. I've called numerous times and the ONLY way you will get help is if you act angry and rude on the phone. They literally don't know how to respond to nice, genuine concern. The pool and gym has been closed for MONTHS, despite the city of Houston opening things back up forever ago. People have began jumping the fence. Dogs pee in the hallways and nothing is done about it until (you guessed it) you call and curse someone out or leave a rude note saying to pick up your dog poop/pee. Imagine: getting dressed for work only to walk out of your own door and step in dog pee. There's literally no guest parking because people park their unusable cars in them for months and people end up getting towed or having to walk an unsafe distance to visit, when there's literally ample parking for tenants but they chose to park in visitors for whatever reason. The apartments "enforce" rules for parking but I've literally seen the same dented parked car in the same spot since we moved in at the end of January 2019. Bottom line, these apartments are unlivable and I've been saving all the evidence to ensure that my broken lease is not taken in vein, because I'm sure the property management would find some way to blame me for the black mold seeping out of the cracks of this dingy, old and decrepit establishment. If you think the cute little model apartment they show you is an accurate depiction of the way you'll be living, you're as sadly mistaken as I was. Don't waste your money. Try the apartments next door. Try homelessness. Honestly try anything because 9/10 you won't be able to shower, sleep or eat comfortably and will regret your decision of living here.”
— 2600 Westerland Dr · Houston“I had lived here for years with no problems that we're not immediately fixed... Until new management ruined the place. Roaches everywhere regardless of pest control, broken air conditioning ignored by office, no water for hours w/ no warning, no hot water for days, staff won't even answer the phone and manager is never in the office, cars broken into, gun shots outside, drugs, gang violence, rats. Save yourself the trouble of paying for an inhabitable apartment and don't even move here!”
— 2600 Westerland Dr · Houston“This place is a joke and you will be paying bill for a roommate ( roaches). Maintenance people service sucks, the office manager and the staff don't care about anything, they just look at you like you stupid and they will have you pay for trash pick up and they don't come pick up the trash, they have you pay for pest control and don't do noting about it bugs you have in your house. And you have growing mold in your apartment. And most important things they will do anything take your deposit when your lease is up. Noting is so luxury about these apartments at all!!! I'm telling you now you be paying a lot of money for noting. RUN AWAY FROM THESE APARTMENTS.”
— 2600 Westerland Dr · Houston“My family and i have been living here since 2017 and we are ready to renew our staying , we love the area and the staff is for the most part really good , at the office make sure to as for Mirian for better assistance”

— 2600 Westerland Dr · Houston“The new management is terrible! They don't care about residents at all! They are very aggressive to residents! Stay away! Below are the things which has changed to very bad since the new management has come: No hot water for several days frequently! In this cold weather of 32F we currently do not have hot water and management does not care and do not fix it because they just think for saving their money! No emergency maintenance! The new management has fired the previous maintenance team who were living at Woodlake Townhomes and hired only 2 personnel from outside for the entire property who live so far from Woodlake Townhomes, therefore when we have an emergency maintenance issue at night or non-business days and call the office and leave a message, no-one showes up to fix it. Routine maintenance also takes several days to be fixed! There are water cuts during the day. They cut the water frequently without a notice or explaining. It happens at least once a week and it lasts for at least two to three hours. It happened when we were taking shower several times and had a big trouble! The new management does not give parking permit for new cars for one month and they say: "park in visitor or park outside!" I slept last night in my car waiting for a visitor parking spot to become available! The parking ceiling is awful! It is leaking all the time and its parts falls on our cars and damage the cars! The office personnel do not let us to speak with manager. Whenever we call or walk in and need to talk to manager, they do not allow us to talk to or see her just saying that "she is busy, she is with someone, she is at lunch "and different lies. Everywhere in property there is ---- of the pets and I even had to trash away my shoes because I walked on the ---- in the parking! The reviews and rating of this apartments have become so bad that the manager herself with name of "Ana Castellano" has given five-star review on google to compensate the low rating of this apartments! It is so ridiculous that she leaves five-star review for herself! This apartment complex is a nightmare! If you do not want to live in a nightmare and if your wellness is important for you, do not move here!”
— 2600 Westerland Dr · Houston“The office employees are thieves, smugglers, and the place is old and full with roaches, smells like dog ---- everywhere.”
— 2600 Westerland Dr · Houston“This review is kind of hare. My wife and I have lived for about two years, have never really had any issues with the staff until this month. They Hired some one new and she is not a peoples person, insulated us saying that we were Mexican and could not pay the rent. She is new as a part time I have no idea why they would have hired her. Her name is Isabel Delgado and she is not someone I would want to be interacting with in the apartments. Claudia and Erick for the most part have been generously helpful. Claudia is and awesome manager!!! Ray is always friendly and willing to help in what ever way he can. As for Isabel I can not say the same, they should fire her for her attitude. I have never been at an apartment complex where they insult the tenants like this. Hopefully she finds a better job that is suited for her.”
— 2600 Westerland Dr · Houston“I've lived here for almost 2 years. I will be moving out soon and am sad to go. I have really enjoyed living here to be honest. The rent is cheap for how much sq ft you get in the bigger units. They have a lot of light and there hasn't been any crime except for one vandalism incident at the apartments. I love the onsite tennis courts. They are take care of and a great added amenity. The apartments are a little on the low end but great for the price you are paying. The staff is very helpful any time you need anything and leave you alone the rest of the time. If you're thinking about a complex to stay at in the Westchase area for this price range its definitely one of the better ones. You should definitely at least stop in and check them out. Thank you Woodlake Townhomes team for being helpful and warm every time I walked into the office.”
— 2600 Westerland Dr · Houston“i love living here and have for 6-1/2 years... it's a CHARMING infrastructure and the trees and shrubs all around makes me feel like i'm living in a little forest right off Westheimer... debbie”
— 2600 Westerland Dr · Houston“This place is going downhill quickly. It was decent when I first moved in, but the management is utterly incompetent, and I wouldn't doubt, crooked. I requested a tow via my apartment's contracted service on July 1st 2016. They told me to contact my complex's courtesy officer, so I walk down to the parking garage to take down the information of the offending car. I get down there and find our courtesy officer arguing with a resident a few spots down coincidentally, a (rightfully) furious armed guard who just got off a 12-hour shift. The courtesy officer then gets on the phone with our complex manager and has a quick conversation with her. He gets off the phone and tells us both there's nothing he can do (I assume she didn't give him the OK), and that they don't tow anyone the 1st-13th of the month, in case someone (paraphrasing) "...----ed up while they were drunk." The courtesy officer "tried to put himself in the offender's shoes" and then concluded that "he'd freak out if he couldn't make rent cause his car was towed." This was the second day in a row that this happened to both the other resident and myself, but they refused to tow because of the aforementioned reasons. Completely unacceptable! Why did I sign a lease? Why won't the complex uphold it? This is just one grievance I have of a list of many that I don't feel like going in-depth with; other reviewers have done so already. https://www.reddit.com/r/houston/comments/4qvft1/who_should_i_call_if_someone_is_parked_in_my_spot/”
— 2600 Westerland Dr · Houston“This was my first time ever renting my own place so it was a new experience for me. Ray and the staff were very helpful, but Ray always had a good attitude and always said hello when he would see us on the property. We really appreciate Ray for all his help from the day he handed us the key to the day we handed it back. As for the apartments, all I can say is you get what you pay for. The rent was in my budget, pretty cheap, especially for a place off of Westheimer and Gessner. I never really felt truly safe in the complex due to the high crime rate surrounding the complex. These apartments are old and it doesn't take much time to notice, especially if you ride the infamous elevator in the back units. I didn't notice till a few weeks into living there that from the looks of it the wood cabinets weren't even truly painted over, floors were squeaky and overall the units just need a major upgrade. We noticed constant cockroaches in the unit, in the kitchen mainly. The water pressure sucked on the 3rd floor. Our A/C went out one day in the middle of August and it was pretty brutal. I will say the maintenance people on site are pretty quick in responding to urgent request. We had the A/C fixed within a day and they also fixed a pipe leak within a few minutes of calling. The parking situation is a nightmare. Only 1 parking spot per unit, 2 if you live in a 2 bedroom. I was living here with my Girlfriend and we had to constantly look for the very few visitor parking spots inside the complex or park on the street. Overall I would say this place is just ok, if you can afford to spend more I would look elsewhere. There are plenty of kids running around and the people playing tennis every afternoon is pretty entertaining to hear.”
— 2600 Westerland Dr · Houston“I just want to thank the entire staff in helping me through my recent flood situation... my upstairs neighbor's pipes broke and water came down into my apartment... it was yes, inconvenient to say the least; however, Claudia and her staff immediately got new carpet in and i am so grateful... Her staff doesn't play... They are on top of everything in this complex... Her team is the BEST... anyone that wants to post a negative post about this complex is truly not in their right mind... i have lived here going on 6 years and i love living here... d.”

— 2600 Westerland Dr · Houston“This is the most awful, and miserable place I have ever lived. The'll reel you in with the beautiful floor plans & make you regret it. I've wanted to move out since a few weeks after moving in! The carpet on my stairs wasn't stapled, the weather strip on my door came off the day I moved in, HUGE wood roaches came in for the many days it took them to replace it, there was hair painted into my walls and cabinets, the paint job overall was the sloppiest I've ever seen. SO much rust in the water! And no, they don't send out a letter saying that it isn't safe to drink. The best part, MOLD. I'm very allergic, I've shown them proof, and proof of the mold, and they still won't fix it. The wood on the outside is deteriorating, and allowing water to come into the inside. Management want an easy fix, not the correct fix. The bedroom is right next to the parking lot, where people are loud and have radios on at all hours of the night, on all days of the week. I couldn't even get a full nights sleep for the first 2 months...and I've lived in other apartments & 2 college dorms! You can tell management all of this, but nothing ever really gets done. Please, do not move here. Sure, the people at the front will try to make the sale, and they can be really nice. But it's not worth it.”
— 2600 Westerland Dr · Houston“I have lived here for a while due to the fact that I hate moving I stayed as long as I did. However about 45 days before my lease was up they wanted to increase my rent by 200.00 at one time. I spoke to Claudia about it but she gave me the cold shoulder like I didnt matter. Btw she did how ever discuss my personal business with my ex husband. Not cool at all. To make matters worse I had a bat in my apartment more then once yes a bat very much alive. Their solution to have maintenance men come out to search for more!! I ask them to send people that dealt with bat issues I was told there wasn't anyone that can kill them. I was also told it was normal to have bats in apartment because we have them all over Houston!!! Like wtf I said yes outside but not inside the apartment. I was also told that I was the only resident that complained about this issue. Well guys I have pics to show that I had bats.. The only positive note I can truly say is that all the maintenance guys are nice and friendly!!”
— 2600 Westerland Dr · Houston“Manager her name is Claudia is a racist , hateful , and she uses everything against you to pay for anything , she also try to make you down while you talk , her speech contains lots of insulting , be careful about her because she can give you a lots of trouble . Another thing before you move this apartment YOU HAVE TO SELL YOUR CAR otherwise dont surprise it is going to be STOLEN ! 2 OR 3 CARS STOLEN AT THIS APARTMENT IN A WEEK DONT TRUST MANAGER CLAUDIA !!!! SHE IS LIAR !!!!”
— 2600 Westerland Dr · Houston“(Some background: Moved in at the end of June 2013, 1 bed 1 bath.) I'll try to review each aspect in the order AR presents them to you. ~Parking~ If you live in the highrises in the back, like I do, you'll find the parking is allocated underneath the building. However, this lot floods heavily during a bad storm due to the horrible landscaping of the cement and the lack of "working" drainage. While there are drains all around the lot, the uneven lay of the land hardly allows for the flow of water to redirect into any drain, causing standing water. Small cars beware. Also as of this week, after nearly a year of less than adequate parking, the management is now employing assigned parking. Beforehand all you needed was a sticker from the office on your car to prove that you had access to park within the resident-only garage but for some reason the management feels they need to tell their tenants where to park now. In combination with an elevator that seems to be CONSTANTLY under maintenance and unusable, I find it detrimental to any of the MANY senior citizens/disabled that live here by themselves that happen to need to bring groceries in or heavy objects from their car parked at their assigned parking spot ACROSS THE GARAGE, as there is only 4 entrances FROM WITHIN the garage itself and they are all stairwells. Not wheelchair friendly whatsoever. This COULD be less of a problem if the elevator remained running for more than a few days at a time. My last complaint is in regards to the towing company that keeps watch over the place, AAA Houston Texas Towing (281-498-1738, 10878 Westheimer Rd Suite 180 Houston, TX 77042)(picture included.) After annoyingly being stickered by them to update my inspection/registration tags maybe a month or two ago, just a few days ago I get stickered AGAIN ON MY WINDSHIELD for abandoning my car because I had not driven it for more than a week. So now I get to peel the sticker off with all the adhesive stuck on my windshield. Very professional. However, it makes little sense to me that I would have abandoned my vehicle when I JUST RECENTLY got my inspection/registration RENEWED.~ ~Noise~ Despite the walls being paper thin, I don't hear too many disturbances. HOWEVER, I did have a neighbor who lived down the hall recently move out (or he got evicted, details to come) who would always have his rap blasting incredibly loudly every night. Not only this but he would always offer to sell weed to me when I would spot him in the hall. His place reeked of marijuana when you walked by his door 9 times out of 10. Word has it that a member of the staff lives on the same floor and if that's true, it's surprising how this audacious behavior was unnoticed for as long as I have lived here.~ ~Grounds~ As previously mentioned, the landscaping is pretty abysmal. The lot is very uneven and prevents water from flowing into the drains during heavy storms, causing flooding throughout most of the lot but especially in the back where the parking lot for the highrises is at. For smaller cars, the cracked cement and uneven layering can be a problem on your tires with one wrong turn. Another problem is that, at random points in time, the dumpsters in the highrises will be gone for a few days allowing the garbage from the chutes to just pile up and smell. This is an occasional happening, however, the smell of dumpster is often lingering.~ ~Safety~ Seems somewhat safe. As of June 2013, only 2 residences here have been burglarized (or at least that's all we have been notified of.) In January 2014 management took it upon themselves to remove the universal code for the gate system and replace it with a resident-specific gate code system instead, where visitors punch in a resident-specific code at the guest entrance and wait for the resident to beep them in via cell phone. While this has made it more inconvenient for trespassers (and visitors) to enter, one need only remember that simply following another vehicle through the gate is the easiest way to get in, and anyone can do it. It makes the gate code useless, in my opinion. An idiosyncratic consequence to the now resident-specific gate code system is that if you do not own a phone, or if your phone service ever disconnects or goes out, you essentially cannot have visitors over "legally" [for the lack of a better word], as the prompt from punching in the code to call the resident's disconnected phone will prove futile, leaving visitors to have wait until access is possible from another vehicle passing through.~ ~Construction~ Below average. It seems that most complexes around the $600-$800 range in Houston want to just paint over anything and everything. My walls have at least 3 or 4 coats of paint from previous owners. When I first moved in, it appeared that the maintenance team painted over a rusted-over moldy vent in order to conceal it. I cannot say for sure, but it was later replaced. This brings me to the next problem I have generally had... ~Maintenance/Staff~While the team is pretty nice and friendly, it appears as if Tarantino, the company managing the complex, could not care less whether or not who they hire as most of the team can barely speak English, let alone respond to a simple maintenance request in a timely manner. It may take weeks to get in the most simple of requests. I personally had to wait 3 months for a new toilet to be installed. I eventually made a list of problems upon my move-in IN WRITING and presented them to the manager and got her signature, because this was the only way to hold the complex accountable for the apparent lack of responsibility. MOST of my problems were fixed within a week after this, but there are still some that remain as they were when I moved in, which I intend to bring up upon my moving-out/renewal. Of course, ALL of these problems should have been resolved BEFORE the tenant moves in, not AFTER. And WL invited me to move in 3 weeks earlier, so I can only imagine what it looked like then. Not only this, the place I'm currently living in now is NOT what I was showed and is SMALLER than what I was showed. Very disappointing, and I can't help but feel lied to. ~Overall~ The complex isn't bad, but is managed by some pretty lazy people and made inconvenient by arduous rules. It seems that the owner is set on sprucing up the place on the outside in order to attract prospective residents, only to completely forget and/or complicate the resident's needs. Poorly run.”
“Recently I've had some issues with apartment management. A few months ago my refrigerator 'died' & was emitting a foul odor in the freezer causing me to toss some food. But the replacements they have given me haven't been working either. Its been just 2 1/2 months and I'm on THREE refrigerators & the third freezer has issues. The apartment representative was unable to notice a scent and said she would have it bleached this Monday. However, the non-spicy food I did bring to work grossed my co-workers out last week. Would I give a recommendation to this place? If you were desperate for a place, then OK. But look around a little more. Grade is a generous C-.”
— 2600 Westerland Dr · Houston“Beware of Ray! He is an absolute liar and he will (without a conscious) disregard professionalism and will leave you in a roach infested shanti house inspired townhome. Don't waste your time here. Go down the street to one of the other properties. Plus this property management knowingly houses the area homeless PTSD Vietnam veterans in their covered parking lot. Before of this if you are a female who lives alone or if you own a values vehicle.”
