“I’m being charged a $80 one day late fee , when I contacted the office and told them the online system wasn’t recognizing my name nor apartment number it took me 3and a half days to get it straight and they still trying to charge me , I don’t think it’s fair at all when I was reporting it”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“Please do not look into villa sierra they take advantage of senior citizens!!!! they are roach infested, can’t fix the drive way I’ve already had to replace my tires twice! when someone tries to confront them they give you a bs lie! Anna and Nancy are just horrible! The only person there who’s worth it is Dee.”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“WORST APARTMENTS EVER ! Do not move here ! No hot water . Air always going out . They do not spray for pest at all and charge an extra $10 for rent ! They "lose" money orders and charge you extra ! I do not recommend at all ! And will not give you corporate number ! They claim they handle everything on site ! Looking for any number to report this apartment complex !”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“I lived here in 2017 and these are the worst damn apartments I've even lived at in my life they are nasty as hell the office staff don't fix NOTHING they all need to be fired these apartments need to be knocked down and rebuilt I had bed bugs and roaches like crazy at the time my baby was learning how to crawl I wouldn't even put him on the floor because of the roaches my apartment was exterminated a total of 5 to 6 times and every time the issue got worst the lady in the office told me "the problem will get worst before it gets better" I couldn't believe she said that to me I also had to through my bed away because me and my baby woke up with bites all over us I went to the office and once again the lady in the office had a smart comment "are you sure you didn't bring the bed bugs" is what she said it got to a point that I was paying rent and wasn't sleeping there so one month I paid my rent and didn't pay the water bill instead of turning the water off these fools put a lock on my door as if I didn't pay my rent that really pissed me off at this time I didn't know what else to do besides break my lease and now I'm paying for it all because villa sierra staff is DUMB and RUDE all they are doing is taking up space these apartments absolutely SUCK DO NOT MOVE HERE AND WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ! Oh and every day when I came home termites were on my floor!!!!!??”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“This place absolutely positively without a doubt sucks. there are RATS the size of puppies running around and a lot of other unidentified bugs. The staff is RUDE and they are LAZY. If I could give this apartment complex any rating lower than a 1 i would. this is unacceptable. Starting a petition to get these apartments torn down”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“I've lived in this community over 4 years never was one to complain. Even during the many times dealing with the roach infestation, nor during the time dealing with the termites, even took into consideration the repair request that were not taken care nor did I hold it aganist the management when the upstairs apartment would over flow causing water to flooded my down stairs unit. I would politely clean up the mess. My complaint deals with how management so rudely without compassion only gave a 5 day notice to leave. Not offer of upstairs unit to assist their residents only reply from Alicia was if I do it for you will have to for everyone. Later there were notices placed on door saying had 5 days from the 1st to leave. Hurriane Harvey brought out the true colors as well as the rudeness of the entire office management department. We've lost a lot of material items dealing with Hurricane Harvey never would I had thought the management staff would also take our weakest, saddest most disturbing moment in my life to use to their advantage.”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“These are by far the WORST apartments ever. Started out with a roach infestation that was clearly the results of the previous tenants, there was no rush to get the problem corrected. Fast forward we just moved out 4-1-2017, we received a check of what should've been $300 but was only $68 because of numerous hidden fees that they are not upfront about. I called the office, they were rude as always. While staying at the complex a rock had been thrown into the apartment window when we were not home the complex replaced the window before we arrived home and never notified us. If it had not been for the neighbors and the evident rock and glass on the living room floor we would have had no idea. I said all of this to say they charged us for a broken blind (one single blind) $40 WHICH WAS THE RESULT OF THE ROCK BEING TROWN THROUGH OUR WINDOW. They said they didnt gen have a record of them fixing the window. What a Piss poor excuse for a business. Then told me, how do they know we didn't break the blind before the rock was thrown through it. The Worst customer service ever, please whatever you do, do not lease here this is a very current review. You've been warned.”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“HORRIBLE! I lived there last year and it was the worst experience ever. The day I moved in roaches EVERYWHERE. I even had people come spray and that didn't work. The roach motels I bought helped somewhat. I went from seeing them every where in every room to seeing 1 or 2 a week. Maintenance took forever when I needed them. The raccoons were the worst. It got to the point where they would climb the roof of my apartment building and I could hear them in my ceiling. It was super scary. I thank GOD that I no longer have to live there. And this woman with black hair that worked in the office was not only rude and careless but a flat out lazy -----. I wish I remembered her name so I could warn people about her. Hopefully she does not work there anymore.”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“I am so glad I am getting away from this place. When I first moved in after I signed my lease my furniture got delivered. I left and came back the very next day to find roaches EVERYWHERE. Everywhere I looked. The apartments on the inside are not that nice. The tub area looks horrible. Looks like they just painted over marks. Every time it rains it seems as if beetles take cover inside my apartment. The roaches were getting better for like 3 months straight. It came down to me seeing a roach maybe once a week but now they are coming back stronger than ever. My roach traps or bombs don't phase them. The guys that come in and spray obviously don't do a good job. Instead of spraying pesticide are they just spraying water? The gates just started back recently working. They stay open or malfunctioned for the most part. Maintenance are okay when it comes to fixing things. I also don't like how they come inside your apartment to leave notices instead of taping it to your door. Parking is cool but I do have a problem with raccoon's being in the parking lot by the dumpster. I never even got a chance to take a dip in the pool because the pool was always dirty. I do not recommend this place at all.”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“this place is a prime example of "You get what you pay for" the rent is cheap and conveniently located by just about all major highways. the apartment on the inside is decent for what it is, the hard wood floors are nice. however, we had certain parts of cabinets that started to fall apart even after normal use, there was a leak in the adjacent apartment that was seeping into ours, this happened twice, they fixed as fast as they could, the first 6 month i saw no roaches , but even after keeping our kitchen spotless, we were bombarded with roaches the last few months, they even had someone come in and spray but it did not phase them, made me wonder if the people who sprayed just came in and threw the paper on the counter and left without doing anything, they are so bad, that when you walk in the door after work, they are flying off of it , i never witnessed any crime hear but heard gunshots on occasion at night, lots of "activity" here day and night constantly. If the office needs to give you a notice, they go in your apartment and set it somewhere , instead of putting it on your door, but anyway, it was affordable, i lived through it. good luck....”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“your best bet would be to stay away from these apartments they are awful as well as the management they are the rudest! when you need something fixed they always think your lying and then take forever to even check it out, by the time they get there you could have looked it up, watched the video on you tube, took a class on it and fixed it your self!!!!!!!!!!”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“I just moved a week ago from this horrible place......STAFF WOULDN'T ALLOW ME TO GET MY MAIL EVEN THOUGH THERE'S NOONE LIVING THERE....just to mention a few things; roaches, worms (staff won't do nothing about)! Driveway pavement falling!!! Young punks asking my husband while we are walking to our car "would u like to buy some wee?" infront of our 6 yr. old daughter & 18 month. And even worst the staff there is horrible and rude...their FIRST PRIORITY IS "NOT" TO HELP YOU!!!! EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE PAYING FULL AMOUNT OF RENT THEY ACT LIKE THEY ARE MANAGING A SEC.8 COMPLEX!”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“These apartments are terrible. One month after moving in my car and my neighbors car were broken into. The manager was very rude when we reported it and it turned out the thief lived two apartments down. Then two days later same day the police were back because there was a stolen car and the apartment behind me the heater caught fire. Now the air conditioner is leaking into my apartment mold and mildew is growing I am allergic to both and my two year old also and they say they wont have anything ready for a week as my son and I cant breath in our own apartment. They are liers and cheaters they will take your rent every month but dont hold up their end of the deal. I am supprised they havent had their pants sewed off yet.”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“the staffs do not talk well. they are always on phone... when there is a problem, do the they take more than 3-4 days to do the work. They never completed mine lease agreement paper until I moved in for almost a month. they charge you $ 50 if you are a day late for payment but you will never get your credit if you have paid more than needed. these staffs are something else. the former ones were the best. they used to clear each and every problems instantly.”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“Garbage apartments unproffesional from the office to mantience but this gos back to the property owners they dont care about there residents i signed the lease because i needed a place to lay my head but had i know this never would i have signed two days ago they were shooting 2 and 3 am loud noise people in the pool mantience dont fix nothing as far as work orders your not gonna get it I have been lied to by the office covering for each other I do my part as far as my contract or my lease woodforest glen dont have to wait for rent because its in there office by the 31st of every month I would not reccomend a dog to live over there”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“un proffesional mantince wow things get fixed maybe two weeks after you request it i cant belive there open for bussiness”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“i have been a tenate here for about a year and a half ive had my apartment broken into in broad daylight and was told there was no way i was getting out of my lease the managment is very rude (i believe there racist but thats my opion)the maintanece people are horrible i even know one to be a know drug user this r the most horrible apartments to live in i would suggest if u need cheap living that bad move back home with your parents”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“I would advise anyone considering moving here to look else where. I have lived here since October and it has been a living nightmare. My apartment have been taken over by roaches and gnats. I am on the list for extermination every Tuesday but that does not seem to help. I can't wait until my lease is up because I am out. The prices where cheap and I like the location but you get what you pay for. If you don't mind sharing an apartment with roaches you might like living here. I really don't think that those types of living conditions are santiuary”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“Dont fall for the trick of low prices the community really sucks! There is always noise at night people with loud stereos blaring. I never felt good about leaving my house, becasue there was always someone watching.”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“MY COUSIN LIVES HERE AND I HATE WHEN I VIST HER LOTS OF NOISE,NEVER ENOUGH PARKING SPOTS,HER HOME CONTINUES TO HAVE ROACHES EVEN WHEN THEY SPRAY MAINTENCE NEVER COMPLY TO YOUR NEEDS,POOL IS TOO SMALL,”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“all the comments that are on here are not true! they are friendly, and the maintenance is very good at what they do,and everytime I call they where right there! Never had any bugs in the apartment if I did they always took care of it !”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“I lived in these apartments for 2 years. They never posted rent on time, and they locked people out of their homes until they found where they posted the money. The maintenance was horrible, and there was no security! I am still fighting 2 evictions that never happened. According to their records, I was evicted twice in one year for non-payment when I paid every month. The second eviction was after I was out of the apartment for 60 days, and I turned in a 30 day notice 30 days prior to my leaving as well as paid a maid service to come clean the carpet and walls! Nothing ever worked, and the police were there at least 3 times a day!”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“My husband and I lived here for one year and it was horrible. We had roaches really bad.... Mold in the bathroom that never ever got better even after it had been fixed. People are always partying and drinking in the parking lots. Police would chase people in the complex. Very Noisy... Pool was dirty. Gates never worked. Our truck got damaged..... The laundry rooms are nasty.... Do not move here.... bad place to live... one of the worst places i have ever lived.....”
— 550 Normandy St · Houston“We were looking to move into a larger place rather quickly. But the office workers promised the apartments were safe and visually appealing. We knew that they had been affected by Tropical Storm Allison. We were told that the property had been newly renovated. After moving in, we found that everything we had been told was false. People frequently hang out on the property. Rarely, do I feel safe. I've had to flag down police men driving down the street to escort me onto the site. There have been high speed police chases through the complex. When I attempted to report the lousy office staff to the management company, they were even worse! The access gate never works the way it should. It has even damaged my vehicle.”
