“air conditioning has been broken for over two months. And they broke into my bedroom and stole a copy of the lease and then tried to say I wasn’t on the lease. Little did they know I bought insurance and the insurance company made a xerox copy and a photo copy of my lease. Roaches are bad. No hot water for years apparently.”

“Horrible I have been year for a year and since I moved here the water has been steaming burning hot I can't even wash dishes I have to shower my kids like if I'm in Mexico put some hot water in a bucket till it cools down just so we can shower the manager rebecca says she is gonna get the promblem fixed but never does I hear they have been having that issue for 2 years + they wanna higher up the rent just cause they painted the parking lots but after 9 pm there is no visitors since there isn't enough parking spot for tenants so sometimes in forced to park at a friends cause there's none here and then my electric switches keep jumping my washer don't turn on due to the bad eletric current and it's the 2nd time my fridge just stopped working and maintenance doesn't come till the next day wow all late.So hot water,no visits, bad electric promblems and they wanna higher up rent aparmtnes no starts it's horrible worst apartments I have ever lives at.”

“This complex needs to have some major work done on the water system...NO HOT WATER EVER!!!! HEALTH ISSUE TOO!!! No where to park The owners and staff do not care all they want is their rent!”

“lived here for 5yrs.and has just got worse over the years. never willing to fix anything unlessvyou beg them to and believe me it will take up to 6months before they try to fix it..have changed owners three times and office manager four times in last 5yrs..property landscaping is quite hilarious brown grass no flowers anywhere trees growing out of control trash on grounds at all times..never any parking unless you pay for reserve space and that too noone respects..also have alot of drug activity on property that owner and manager know about but turn there head and never address. so please think twice before you move here..they promise you everything to get you to rent from them but once you sign there contract your nightmare starts...good luck...”

“I have lived here for four years and been through many manager changes. They are under new owners and finally making some new changes! I've had maintenance issues and finally they are fixing all of the most important things. I am very happy that now I don't have to move and hoping for even better changes!”

“This is the worst complex ever. The parking lot has large holes and now they are charging the tenants to park on site in reserve space which is uncovered. If you do not pay you are allowed to park against the fence in the back, I live upfront, not enough security lighting when you come home at night. No dishwasher in unit, deep indentation in floors, when you walk you can feel the holes. Poor maintenance.”

“I HATE LIVING HERE! the kids are loud and if you call the office and complain they don't do anything! These kids are always yelling and cursing at each other, and have no respect for anyone. I should not have to hear them EVERY SINGLE DAY! I have to work and I can never sleep because their so loud I cant sleep. They are outside screaming as I write this review! This place is DIRTY, and the water is ALWAYS off. I can't wait until my lease is up and I can LEAVE! These are the worst apartments ever! I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE, not even my worst enemy!”

“This had been the worst place I've ever stayed at every bad review is true we never have hot water all the maintenance staff ate crack heads n they never fix anything Rebecca is such a bad manager she lie about everything n she's in the office maybe 3 days out of three week the owner needs to fire her she's running these apartments down in a hole if i knew what i know about these apartments now i would have never moved in no hot water n if we do get hot water threres no cold water the roaches just take over there that bad u might as well get s house before u move here cause maintenance dont fix anything they stay to high in n out the crack house all day horrible place yo live!!!!”

“The following among many others requests for repairs remain unaddressed by management: Mold has developed in one of the bedrooms as a result of a leak that was only partially repaired in October of 2012, a hole was drilled in the laundry room to repair this leak and I was informed it would be sealed within the next couple of days, however the whole remains open attaching rodents and the mold continues to grow. I requested the bathroom door be repaired upon moving in August of 2012 due to not being securely fastened to the hinges, this repair was never addressed thus the door has since fallen off the hinges resulting in another request to management in February of 2013 to secure the door, however door remains unsecure leaving no privacy to the restroom area Upon my move into the unit I requested that a closet glass sliding closet door that is cracked and sealed only with tape be replace or repaired, this request remains unaddressed. Upon moving in I did not have a working refrigerator supplied by the complex for the 1st three weeks, this refrigerator was then replace by another from a vacant unit and only worked for approximately three months before going out, this, the second refrigerator was replace only two weeks ago with another used refrigerator that does not fit properly making it difficult to access. The hot water continues to not be accessible for use since for days to weeks at a time, since my move in August of 2012.”

“I have lived at southchase for a long time and never have i been more disgustef in my life...for one we have been without water for about 3 weeks now..and its been cold...managment doest seem to care too much cuz she doesnt live on property or in the same state..so why fix it right..finally they fix the problem but a week later broke again..and stuck without hot water again..and this time owner and manager say they cant find anyone too fix it...and dont now when will have hot water again..do you not now that these are violations of building codes uere in texas...itvis law too have running hot and cold water with in 24 hours of damage..and not just talking out your --- about the problem...the owner needs to be more involved in these apartments instead of sitting back in your nice house on the lake rackng in the money from people who are suffering at your apartment buildings...second you need to get a stronger mamager in there who can hamdle the pressure and tale action on tenant when needed instead of just sitting there hopeing the problem resolves them selves...you need to understand if someone(like me) decides to follow thru with a complaint with the haa your apartments will be screwed ....there are sooooooooo many complains here that we do have a good case .....so think fast before something really happens..and please do not rent from southchaseits not worth your time and money....”

“It's great to have someone professional managing at Southchase! The owner cares so much about this place and it is starting to show. I'm just happy that most of the people that live here are great neighbors and care about where they live too.”

“Wow, I am sad, that they fired the Spanish girl, she was nice. Now, they have some wanna be up in there thinking she can talk to people any kind of way. But, guess what I am the wrong ----in one. Yes, these apartments are raggedy and needs to fixed. I have pictures of the things that were wrong in my apartment and have not been fixed. Everything "Negative" that people have been posting is true, I have no reason to lie. The tow trucker driver comes through here and tows people vehicles all damn day long, he almost got beat up a week ago by a resident. The grounds have just started getting cut more frequently, but the trash is still on the grounds. I think what I am going to do is call Channel 2 and have them come out and look in my apartment and show them my pictures that I have I wonder what the people would say.”

“Dont believe everything you read on the internet. I say this because i used to live and work for the apartments with old management and new management. I left for personal reasons but I want to move back. By far the new management is 200% more involved in the property. The manager does it all by herself while the owner is away. She is only one person and does the best she can. The owner workes her --- off when she is in town because she cares about her residents. The pool is beautiful and the kids are allowed to play outside. The old manager destroyed the pool and she didnt like kids. I think its funny how people like to spread horribe rumors on the internet. Ex: The managers husband does and sells drugs.... I call bull ---- on that... I think your miserable and miserere loves company!!!!! Trust me the owner would not let things like that slide!!!! Anyway I think you should pay a visit to southchase if you are interested in an apt insteat of reading this crap online!!!”

“Ok i did drive over and check out southchase its a dump no security for one you have people going in and out the gate because it does not function since when dont now...and the grounds there are poorly kept up there is trash everywhere the yard has not been cut for days it looks like and the grass is yellow burnt dont you believd in water??? And i saw the pool yes it is very nice but had people siting there drinking beer with small children present and at same time managment standing there over looking saying nothing...thats not very safe and is illegale.. meet the managment in office seems nice but when walked in was sitting there with friends just conversating instead of working...wasnt very work friendly...over all i would not rent there for security reasons and the fact that it isnt very well kept up for an apartment or the rent they are asking...”

“My girlfriend and i just moved in aweek ago and it pretty cool. I have only had one problem (fridge went out) so far and it was taken care of with in 24 hours. The manager is pretty cool and i met the owner today for the first time. She is a pretty nice lady. I havent noticed any roaches or bugs so we really like that. my neighbors are pretty quit. i know the apts are old so i understand that things arent perfect. all in all this is my first apt and so far im happy with it.”

“I like living at south chase. The management is great and the neighbors are nice. I never have to worry about maintenance. I would recommend these apartments to anyone.”

“I have lived here fof awhile now and it sucks... nothing gets fixed here even if you tell them multiple times still not fixed.. and the noise and music is really ridiculous here..always having people enter here that do not live here..walking around the property at all hours of the night.. having the managers husband doing drugs in the court yard with his friends and her doing nothing about it..i guess thats a rwally good place to stay..if you like that atmosphere for youf children.. and maintance does not fix things at all need certified people for the job.. fix the manager problems ..the drug problems maintance problems and security problems first..”

“First i would like to say southchase is not all they are making it out to be...fyi...people there are alot of run down apart...in houston but....they do have working gates and patrol that come around once in awhile...what can you say for southchase?????? Thats what i am talking about..open your eyes ...owner..and fux your apartments right get your crew back in order and in line and you would be renting apartments like crazy....control the foot traffic in and out of your apart....the only thing you have going for you is the pool that you got fixed before the owner came to live here...and even the owner living on the property has not helped much either!!! Think about it the high rent ...the lawn very ugly no working gates no backgrohnd checks being done ...would u like to live here?????”

“I moved in here in March and havent had any SERIOUS problems. The property is older and is going to have common problems, that is to be expected. To the people complaining about their apartments being roach, flea, termite infested... YOUR DISGUSTING. Learn how to clean your house! And if you are to lazy to learn how to clean, HIRE someone! Roaches are attracted to filth, my house has not had roaches since I moved here. If you keep it clean, the problem wont be there!! About the Parvo sitution, it is caused by BAD pet owners. If you cant even care for yourself you have no business owning a pet!! Have your dogs vaccinated, spayed/neutered!!! I love this property and I have lived in WAYYY worse. Management does everything they can at a timely pace. There are ALOT of people on the property and it takes time to get to every single person! Be patient! The owner IS on the property, because she has expectations- and with HORRIBLE tenants she cannot up hold that. She is here "taking out the trash!" If you dont like it here, MOVE. So in conclusion, the problems on the property are caused by BAD TENANTS (No rent paid, Filthy, Irresponible, Disrespectful. I LOVE THIS property and WILL be renewing my lease!!!! P.S- This is NOT WRITTEN BY MANAGEMENT!!!!! Sincerly, Your clean, hard-working, friendly neighbor!!! :)”

“The dogs died of Parvo- Vaccinate like a responsible pet owner! Ive lived in 2 different Apts and have not had roaches,Clean your damn kitchen. The mgr Husband has a kid and steps in when he can, Highly doubt he is using. The owner us wirking her --- off and has installed 50 New ac units since last year! Maintenance is always timely! They cant fix it if you dont let them know its broken! I love living here and wouldn't chose anywhere else. KUDOS to the owner for all their hard work!”

“i live at this property and its a dump they always want rent but things are not being taken care of as far as mgt good but it leads back to the owner where no supplies to wk with the worst apt i have ever lived in i would not refer any one here at this property. no pool rigid and not properly fixed im tired of whats going on here and its not the manager. thanks”

“I lived at South Chase nearly two years, that place is a dump, from old management to the new management they all did the same crap lie, get you moved in and fix nothing. People lie so much on these reviews and for what, I have been incredibly happy since moving from here. This property truly believes in taking your money and fixing nothing. That pool has never been qualified or fit for a stray dog to swim in nevertheless a human. The County of Harris County need to condim that property and make the owners pay the individuals still there to find them some real apartments to live in.”

“All bad reviews are true. Multiple robberies, peoples doors kicked in, cars broken into, people robbed at gunpoint. Roaches and termites everywhere. No ac. Most maintenance has no idea what they are doing. So if you like having ac and don't want to worry about being robbed and killed then DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!”
