“I Was living here for a year till last month, I wish there is 0 rate!!! The landlord charged me 2 times rent the last month, and never mentioned that!!! I have to go to bank to cancel the payment. Don't live here, the maintain guys are always try to go inside everyone's apt, I asked my neighbors as well!!! All the furnitures are old and smells!!! Too evil Manager!!! God will punish you!!! Shame on you!!!”
— 7901 CAMBRIDGE ST · Houston“Horrible Staff. Roaches wont go away I cant even have people over because as soon as you start cooking roaches start crawling out from the walls because the smell food. I microwaved some food set it on the table and when I came back one minute later there was already a roach on the plate!! Ridiculous this place needs to be exterminated the entire property! The management are crooks and will apply all types of fees for maintenance and even tried to say I didnt pay rent one month when I did and tried to charge me double smh. Horrible people I hope that manager goes to hell.”
— 7901 CAMBRIDGE ST · Houston“I would give the manager a zero if I can. Like other tenants I find this manager deeply unpleasant to work with, and he would increase your rent whenever he gets the chance no matter how long you have lived in their property. The place is old, dirty and has roach problems. The worst is when the city is flooded my apartment did too. The manager is a SOB and only cares money. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Find yourself another place and save all the troubles.”
— 7901 CAMBRIDGE ST · Houston“This place is absolutely awful. Please save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere. There is a serious roach problem throughout the complex that not even their offered pest control can fix. Crappy insulation leading to poor sound control, outdated interior which has been very poorly remodeled, and there has been acts of vandalism to cars in parking lot because there is no surveillance or security whatsoever. Our first day moving in we had to deal with a broken AC unit, live roaches running around, broken blinds and stained carpets. This place is the pits, definitely will NOT be renewing our lease, one year is bad enough.”
— 7901 CAMBRIDGE ST · Houston“This property has the worst staff I have ever worked with. They never return calls, and they never fix anything that is broken. I had a leaking pipe for 6 months! Also the place is infested with roaches. They said it would be clean when we moved in, and it wasn't. The rents are so cheap for a reason. It's a dump. DO NO MOVE HERE!”
— 7901 CAMBRIDGE ST · Houston“been here 30 yrs new management is so bad they never fix nothing no ph no on contact dont answer back emails, the grounds are horrible holes all in driveway needs a good paint job all over needs brick painted raise rent every year say cause of appraisel huh but never fix insifde my tile n tub is from the 80s windows so old dont open right everything in here furnished is used beyound means horrilbe dont exterminate anymore people live trash on porches its just a horrible place ever since the pakastanians took over and bought all the family over with kids living in a stdio efficeny ythere so noisy use to be quite please somei pray bye them out a american perhaps”
— 7901 CAMBRIDGE ST · Houston“Not a luxury apartment. Remember people, you get what you pay for. I'm just going to give you as much information as I can and you can judge whether this place is worth it or not. I had an efficiency (think smaller studio). It was small. Let me describe what it had: a queen bed that folds up into the wall, a small stacked washer/dryer, a Lawson-style sofa, a ceiling that vaulted up at one point to a foil-covered window, cracked/not-set-correctly tile floors in the entrance/kitchen/bathroom, refrigerator, stove, microwave, and some coffee tables. If the bed is pulled down, there is limited access to the bathroom from the living room/kitchen area. There's a lot of storage spaces (drawers/cabinets). The wall where the bed folds into has a small cupboard. The dining table was a glass table that was screwed into an adjacent cupboard/drawer space. You can't move the table. There are two chairs for the table. There is a small pantry for the kitchen and a tiny dishwasher next to the sink. When I first moved in, 3 of the 4 stovetop coils didn't work. The apt had a really old stove. I told them I couldn't use the stove. After a month or so, I got a new electric one. Really nice. Unfortunately, after the new stove came in, I couldn't have the a/c and hairdryer on because the apartment couldn't handle it and I'd have to reset the breakers. The central a/c broke, so they gave me one window a/c unit. That wasn't enough for the Texas summer. The coolest it got inside the apartment was 80 degrees (at night). So they gave me another window unit. That fixed it right up. But, wait. That agency that checks for housing violations said two window a/c units were too many. So they took one away. A couple months later they install a new proper central a/c unit. The new one works wonderfully. Unfortunately, the thermostat I had didn't have a timer option. The apartment wasn't really well insulated. This is a problem because the a/c will keep turning on every 5 to 10 minutes until you just give up, turn it off, and buy a fan/small heater to save on electricity. The foil-covered window wasn't much of help keeping the heat out during the summer. Cockroaches and other insects/arachnids were a problem when I first moved in. After spraying a lot of bug spray everywhere and asking the manager to have pest control fumigate, I didn't have any more problems other than a random bug here or there. Not sure if pest control visited my apartment. Maintenance never let me know when they came over to fix things. In the lease agreement, it tells you that if they have to go snake your tub drain, it's going to come out of your pocket not theirs. You get one covered parking spot. Visitor parking is located around the complex. You have an option of paying $30 for a gate clicker, or you can just dial in the gate code. The way you come into the complex is different from the exit. There is no office--all questions/comments have to go to the manager via text, phone, or email. The mailboxes are located next to the pool. The garbage bins are located next to the exit. Water, gas, trash is included in the rent. I was able to pay my rent online. Deposit was one month's rent. Also, during a visit, before signing the lease, I saw the unit I would be assigned. I spoke to the manager about switching out the couch for a newer one and replacing the mattress with a new one. He agreed and I had a newer couch and a new mattress. So like every apartment, this one had its ups and downs. What I liked most about it was that it was really close to the medical center. It's a walkable distance to the rodeo (in March) and Kroger. The metrorail is close by too. There's a bus stop right outside the complex. And most importantly (at least for me), it was really cheap for it being down the street from the medical center.”
“Just moved in right befor Christmas this place is disgusting with roaches everywhere I bombed the place and put all kinds of deterrents, traps combat disks, roach tables, boric acid, combat gel and I still got roaches they won't go away I got all sizes there in the dishwasher, cabinets oven pantry shelves in the fridge, the bathroom. In my room I am clean freak and these roaches make me squeamish, looking to break the lease can't take this place anymore I put my new micro wave in the porch along with a tote and in it I put my toaster, blender and coffee maker in it don't want it I the counter tops where roaches can get in them his place has an odor and the walls need corking where the roaches are coming from I am constantly taking pics of all the roaches I encounter the toilet seat was pissed and disgusting I had to replace with a new one and change out the shower head. Wish I could post pics they said the rug was clean my socks were disgusting I went to them with all my complaints and all I want fixed replaced or change and they have not come yet and they said the exterminator would come on January the 8th so two week to come having to deal with all the roaches. I am fed up I literally cried as I prepared breakfast for my husband on Christmas Eve because roaches were poping up all over the floor and counter tops ceiling as I tried to prepare my meals I don't want to eat as I am grossed out by all the roaches I have encountered. I prepared a salad an placed it on my new dinner table as I felt it has not been invaded by roaches I went to prepare the rest of my dinner and when I returned there was a roach on my plate ughhhh!!! Sickening, I am uncomfortable cooking in the kitchen an even sitting in my couch for fear a roach might crawl on me, i hate this place, I am sick of this place it stinks in the ac unit mildew musty very nasty this place literally stinks I have placed air wicks all over the outlets and I could still smell the dirty rug and the rotting wood from the walls along with the infestation of roaches behind the walls. I my apt looks like a nuclear war one with boric acid all over who needs to live like this ??? I am so over this place my front porch looks like a dumpster landscape in the back sucks they only keep up the front rental are nice then when you come to the back or in between the buildings it's horrible looks like the ------ awful. I have to use my micro in the porch. How crazy is that. I'm moving out quick I am not happy with this place and I don't recommend if you have issues with roaches. Heartbroken, dissatisfied, and disgusted with this community I have never had to deal with this kind of nonsense. Christina in the front desk said it would be taken care of and claims she lives here and has no roaches bs she also stated that certain buildings have roaches and they move or migrate from one place to another and from one apartment to another. This was my hint to never move here. Biggest mistake in my life should of stood at Belle isle. Don't move here you will regret it.”
“Soheil, the person who rented the apartment to me is a con artist. He tried not to give back my $700 deposit money by saying I haven't sent him an email of my move out date. When he perfectly knew I was going to leave I called him many times and told him, he said OK. But, told me that he won't be able to give my deposit back at the end. so I sent him an email saying I'll leave the next month. Stayed another month, than left. I haven't got my deposit back after a month. And he's not answering my calls.”
— 7901 CAMBRIDGE ST · Houston“I am pretty happy with this apartment. The place is nice for the money. There is a nice and dryer in my unit. The sofa is clean and soft. The fridge is new The other appliances are old but work. Parking is covered. The facilities are kept clean and they is no loitering. I think everyone who lives Here are students and traveling doctors. They are people who live her with luxury cars which to me means it's safe. I love the big bathtubs and new washer and dryer in here.the cost space is ample.they is lots of storage space. It's not luxurious but nice for the price. Anything surrounding get is no less than 700 a month. This is the best quality for the money I the area. Let those nay sayers go next door and pay 900 dollars a month and be happy.”
— 7901 CAMBRIDGE ST · Houston“this place is disgusting the walls are paper thin and everything inside the apartments are cheap and fall apart”
— 7901 CAMBRIDGE ST · Houston“I have lived here since May. Last night my boyfriends 2010 R6 got stolen along with another bike from the opposite side of the complex. There is supposed to be gates up, but the city wont let the apartments block traffic, so the gates aren't being built. The only camera in the whole complex face the pool and gym. A dude found his car on block, the construction workers left out, with his tires and rims gone. People smoke weed in the dog walking area almost every night. Me and most of my neighbors have tiny bugs, since we live on water there are always bugs in the house, no matter if we spray or not. All the dogs in the complex have fleas. The office officials say, when they built the lagoon they messed up the fleas natural habitat, that's why there is infestation in all the homes. Also construction sucks here. they are slow and use cheap materials. Quick fix solutions. In all I wish I had not moved here. Head my warning. If you have a motorcycle, know that it better have GPS, because locks or no locks its going to get taken if its nice.”
— 7901 CAMBRIDGE ST · Houston“Everything about the place is a bit old (some furnished items may be falling apart depending on your luck with the unit) and could use a lot of remodeling but I don't mind this too much. I would much rather have my own furniture than the build in fixtures and rather old/not in the best condition furnished items. You may get a decent place depending on your luck. I would advise that you visit the one you'd want to rent first. If you want to come home and relax this isn't the place but if all you want to just come home and sleep then perhaps this complex will be fine. The quality of the unit reminds me of my undergraduate dorm (old and dinky). I would love to get rid of a few things though. Overall I think this place is OK. If you search around you could find other places where you would pay a little more for much better living conditions. Good luck apartment hunting! :D”
— 7901 CAMBRIDGE ST · Houston“I have been living here in last July. Some of the units are pretty old and some are really decent depends on the maintenence of the owner. Safe apartments. Would recommend.”
— 7901 CAMBRIDGE ST · Houston“it is not a apartment complex, these are condominiums which are furnished, and the new management tmccondos put cremic tiles, new furniture and appliances, and provided great service. What a bargain for the price.”
— 7901 CAMBRIDGE ST · Houston“If you work in TMC, this is a nice place to live. It's not fancy and some of the furniture is pretty old but it's affordable and very quite as well. It's also fairly safe, i had been lived here for one year and i never heard any trespassing or brake in. Moreover, landlord will sent you email if there are potential danger need your attention. There are some very cheap place across Almeda, but God know what could happen if you live there. So i think safety is the priority when choose a apartment.”
— 7901 CAMBRIDGE ST · Houston“i lived here from 2008-09 and really liked my stay here. it is very cheap and all apartments are furnished...some are old but they replace it if they are broken or very unacceptable..i got my own bed as i needed a firm one...the management is pretty good and they replace anything for a new one promptly..i got a new A/C unit and a new washer/dryer when they broke down. it is gated, quiet and pretty safe..you still need to use your common sense...also, all apartments have covered parking and ample guest parking. On a side note, this may not be for you if you are looking for a posh cosy place to show off and have your freinds over but it is great if you are a student or an employee at the medical center focussed on your stuff..also you may not need a car to get to the med center as the bus-stop is actually attached to the building! good place and highly recommended to anyone looking for a safe, economical, furnished and a simple place at the medical center!”
— 7901 CAMBRIDGE ST · Houston“I moved to Houston immediately after Hurricane Katrina in search of temporary and very affordable housing. Parks on Cambridge was already furnished, albeit with tacky and old furniture, but I had just lost all of my furniture, so not needing to buy new furniture was a plus. I had a studio furnished with sofa, coffee table, kitchen table and chair, queen-size bed (which also folds up into a closet for additional space), and tons of built-in cabinet/shelf space. Convienient stackable W/D located in bathroom (but with an extremely ancient model that occasionally broke down, though maintenance requests were always quickly handled) Assigned covered parking with additional uncovered spaces for visitors, and parking was always available. Overall: definitely NOT a posh, nice, place to stay, but was very comfortable and would be good for someone looking for short term housing that is furnished. Very close to the med ctr (many graduate students and working people live in the complex, so it's not as noisy as a college-age dorm), and a bus stop is directly in front of the complex.”
— 7901 CAMBRIDGE ST · Houston“I'm glad I found this apartment, since I needed a furnished place. It's not perfect by any means, but this place offered the best for my money. I have a studio apartment, but it has everything I need: funiture (couch, dining table & 2 chairs, and a bed; a washer and dryer; a diswasher; a stove/oven; and a microwave. Plus, you get covered parking and PLENTY of storage. Be forewarned though, some of the apartments have older appliances (from the 1980s), but if they break, you get new ones, so that's a good thing. If you find anyone selling or leasing these apartments, check them out. They may cheap and not very attractive, but they are safe and comfortable.”
