“I have lived in the same apartment for years now. I just have to say don’t move here, there have been several tenants who have moved in above my apartment and every time they take months to clean the place out. I have a family and my apartment is riddled with roaches. I can hear rats in the ceiling and mold everywhere. No matter how clean my place is it is still disgusting with bugs that the complex won’t do anything about. All they seem to do is have pest control come and put bait out. So if you like having roaches, rats and even mold then this is the right place for you. Oh and spoiler here they don’t actually get rid of mold on the Sheetrock. They just spray kilz on the mold and paint over it. There are lots of gun shots in the area, the gas station across the street is always being robbed and rude neighbors as well as vehicles being vandalized. I don’t recommend living in this apartment or even the area.”

“HORRIBLE APARTMENTS, Jade told the maintenance man to ignore me(tenant of apartment)because when I came to my home after work to find out I couldn't use my bathroom because the room my toilet apart to fix A leak for the downstairs apartment. But have yet to fix the ants coming into my bathtub or my back or front door that lets bugs in. My water bills been high and they don't know why but yet came to fix A leak in my apartment for the downstairs apartment”

“When we moved in I had mold above my tub they didn't come to fix it until a week later and all they did was spray over it. Shortly after that I told them my AC Filter was full of dust and not really blowing cool air, it took them about 3 days to come out. I was told my rent would be $615 (water included) but I've been paying $674 with new management and about $50 of that is for water. ????”

“I am a new resident at Timbers of Cranbrook. The reviews I read before moving here scared me. I'm glad I made the decision to move here. So far everything is great. It's a quiet community. It's very affordable. The units are old but we'll maintained. I haven't seen a single insect in my apartment. All in all I'm very satisfied”

“This property looks decent on the outside but the interior is chopped and thrown together. Some of the repairs look like child's play. You can heard your neighbors in your apartment. I lived downstairs and you could hear every movement. Management is lazy and repairs are non-existent or slow too come.”

“This apartments aren't worth nothing. It takes them to fix something about a month or two. Then they expect you to pay your rent on time every month or they will put a lock on your door if you miss two to three days.Then the apartment manager and the one other female that work there they will tell you what you want to hear then do something else. This apartments aren't worth your money..”

“Hey hun, I read your review and it is a lot like the situation I am in right now at this very same apartment complex. When we first moved in they told us the reason our move in date was two days late was because they were cleaning the apartment. They did not! We moved into a filthy apartment two days later. When we did the walk through we discovered that there was no weather stripping in our doors, there was a chunk of the vinyl flooring missing in the second bathroom, we do not have fans or lights in either of our bedrooms, there was a piece of counter that was not fixed to the cabinets, neither of our toilets flushed properly, our light sockets would not hold any plugs, the carpet was stained, and like you we had a massive roach problem, and our bathtub had to be redone twice because our feet were sealing to the tub. There have been two building fires at this location within the last year, both of which you can see for yourself if you just drive onto the property because the buildings are still in ruins or boarded up. We have had to call the cops several times because of breaking and entering into our neighbors apartment, an arrest was finally made. After several fights with Gloria (the most incapable apartment manager ever)we finally had our stuff fixed little by little. We have lived in this apartment since August 2013 and we still do not have ceiling fans or lights in our bedrooms. cannot wait until our lease is up to move!!! The utility bill is allocated for water, sewer and trash and when we moved in we were told we would be paying 30-40 bucks a month for water being as it is just me and my boyfriend. Our last months bill was over $70!! when we called to find out why they told us it was because the utilities are allocated. We know they people who live behind us have significantly more occupants than we have. They shut off your water without any notice and can never tell you when it will be back on. They put a notice on our door when we were pet sitting my parents dog for a few days saying that we owed them $100 plus $xx a day after that for having the dog there and not telling them. I am sorry last I checked I was paying YOU to live here, and as this is not a rent controlled property, I should be allowed to have my parents mute miniature toy poodle in my apartment. Whats he going to do?...Bark?...I don't think so! MY BIGGEST ADVICE....IF YOU MOVE IN HERE KEEP TRACK OF EVERYTHING! WE HAVE A NOTEBOOK THAT IS FULL OF OUR CORRESPONDENCE WITH THE CONSTANT TURNOVER THEY CALL A STAFF. GOOD LUCK!”

“Hello all, this apartment complex is the worst I have every stayed at. I just moved here in November and they are bad at fixing thing's. They have re-painted my bath tub twice and will not replace my toilet. The roaches are taking over in my apartment, they are in my bed, kitchen, and restrooms. They are just every where you look. I wish I could move, but I can't until my lease is up. I wouldn't wish this on nobody. Shaking my head, just nasty.... Please do not, I mean do not move here it's not worth it at all.”

“dont live here.noisy,hood rats,rude office workers an towing as there is a scam of them towing your vehicle and getting a kickback. no assigned parking. then they want you to pay money for a parking space. roaches,drug dealing illegitimate security and break ins. security is -------- as they ask you over and over if you live here after youve yold the sane idiot the same answer yes! office staff will come inside and snoop when your not there dont rent here office staff also solicited my boyfriend for money for sex.laundry room is outdated and rundown.mosquitoes abd ants.trash human feces.”

“Not sure what to say about this complex. Maintenance is pretty good at times but the staff is twisted. Emelda is rude and the Steph girl is just hood. The place was Greystar and wish it still was. Old Manager Krystal was good and keep this place going good. Since she left we have to put up with these rude people in the office, honestly I don't think they know what they are doing. Lights are always out too dark to see anything. Towing here and parking is a joke. Can't wait to move, I pay a lot on my rent and it is not worth it. I wouldn't mind if I was paying for something worth it... Hopefully the office staff will think about their residents and treat them better then what they are doing now. Seems like everytime I go in there they are yelling or being rude to someone.”

“I planned to move here in November 2012 i thought it was my new dream home and the staff were nice and friendly AT FIRST!!! that was until i actually saw my apartment and its poor conditions which was NOTHING like the model and far from nice when i brought it to the staffs attention their attitudes quickly changed they offered to fix the apartment because i was so unhappy so i allowed them the oppprtunity to ragain my attention for the apartment before i began looking else where i gave them a week and nothing had changed so when i asked for my deposit back they gave me the run around it wasnt until i called corprate that they were willing to negotiate!!! Stephanie is rude as ---- and Emilda is no better DO NOT MOVE TO THIS DUMP!!!!”

“I live here and have been here for a short time. Since being here, I have seen roaches. FLYING roaches!!!! And COCKROACHES! Inside my apartment. My apartment is still empty because I just recently moved in so they have no where to go. I have stayed on the office about my maintenance issues and have YET to have my issues fixed!!! They are correct. Tow trucks do come in here daily however, they arent towing anyone because SEVERAL people still park here WITHOUT permit stickers. Management does nothing about it. Its an OKAY property. Quiet. That's is all that matters for me while I finish out my contract. I can fix all of the other stuff myself! Also, the reno that they are doing here is cheap business. Fixtures falling off, cabinets hanging outlets not working, sloppy painting. My list can go on. However, I signed a lease... I'll be outta here next year...sigh”

“I HAVE FOUND A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE! HERE IS MY STORY.I HAVE MOVED FROM CALIFORNIA A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO AND WHAT IT MADE ME DECIDE TO LIVE HERE WAS THE PROFESIONAL FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT STAFF,NICE BEUTIFUL,CLEAN,QUIET AND GOOD LOOKING PROPERTY THAT STAND OUT FROM THE REST OF THE APARTMENTS WITH NICE COLONIAL RED BRICKS. I HAD VISITED THE SURROUNDING APARTMENTS AROUND THE AREA BUT I DIDNT GET THE FEEL OF GOOD PROPERTYMANAGEMENT AT THE REST OF THE PROPERTIES I VISITED. AS SOON AS I WALKED IN THE RENTAL OFFICE, I NOTICE THE STAFF WERE PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY AND THE RENT WAS AFFORTABLE TOO! THEY MADE ME FEEL WELCOMED SO I KNEW I HAD FOUND THE RIGHTPLACE FOR ME , AND I DID NO GO WRONG! I HAVE BEEN HERE FOR ABOUT FIVE MONTHS, AND EVERYDAY KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER. THE NEW MANAGER IS VERY EFFICIENT AND HAS THE THE BEST TEAM IN THE OFFICE TO MAKE SURE THE RESIDENTS FEEL RIGHT AT HOME THE WAY YOU SHOULD BE. WHENEVER I NEED THEIR ASSISTANCE REGARDINGANY ISSUES,HARLY EVER, THEY ARE VERY HELPUL AND THE MANAGER GETS RIGHT ON TOP OF THINGS AND TAKES THE NECESSARY ACTIONS NEEDED TO MAKE THINGS BETTER. I FEEL SAFE AND RIGHT AT HOME. THEY HAVE A PATROL AT NIGHT TIME CHECKING ON THE PROPERTY.GATES WITH PERSONAL CODES. IS AWSOME! WE JUST GOT OUR APARTMENTS NICELY PAINTED THAT MAKES ME FEEL I AM IN A NEW PLACE. I HIGHLY RECOMEND TIMBERS OF CRANBROOK APARTMENTS TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY.”

“I've been living at Timber for 3 years now. And I never had issues until now. The new owners (BNC) are a pack of worthless mexican slumlords who lie cheat and steal. They have come into my home and wreck the palce twice in the las two days so I'm soooo gone. If you're looking to live here...RUN!!!!”

“Hot water! There is NO, No, no, n-o hot water available half the time. "Half the time" is an understatement- more like MOST of the time. The staff said it would be fixed and it's not. If you like taking cold showers at 7am in the WINTER than this place is for you.”

“Just because this complex has Greystar one it doesn t mean it s a good complex. I ve had a horrible experience at this complex. I moved in last summer, and everything was great, staff was nice and all seemed well. That all changed about 2 weeks after I moved in! They never answer the phone at the main office and they don t open when they are supposed to. I had a leak in my apartment and I called multiple times and even went to the office in person to have them fix it. They never came by or acknowledged the issue. (I believe it s because they switch people in the front office so much they don t know where anything is. It s so unorganized there. They switch leasing agents like women switch shoes!!) When the leak got worse, then they came to fix it. I had to tack a maintenance guy down and annoy the crap out of him to fix the leak. It s been a TERRIBLE experience here . The front gate does NOT work and I think they aren t going to fix it so it s far from a gated community . Oh yeah not to mention the tree roaches that you get if you live near the bayou and trees. Yeah tree roaches these huge, nasty looking bugs! Just so you have an idea as to what they look like, google 'tree roaches' and look at the pics that come up. When you see these big bugs, tell me if you'd want to wake up in the morning with one of these on your stove or floor. Before I signed my lease, I asked them if they did monthly pest control and the agent confirmed they did. She said they did it by buildings every month. Yeah right! They ve never sprayed this place since I ve been here. I had to go to Wal-Mart and get my own pest spray and spray the apartment to keep the tree roaches out. And now Im having an issue with the hot water; it s not working! Im telling you, DO NOT waste your time, energy, or hard earned money coming to this place. Believe me you can find something better than this! Im not renewing my lease and I made sure they knew it. This is not a safe place to be as a single woman. Shoot, I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone; not even my enemies!”

“It's a night and day diffrence, since new managment took over. Everythings is better!!! The landscaping,maintainance crew,the new management staff the over all quality of the apartment homes have improved. Because of all of the great changes for the first time im considering exstending my stay. Way to Go Greystar!!!”

“OMG!!! WHAT CAN I REALLY SAY ABOUT THESE RAGGEDY ---, ROACH AND FLEA INFESTED APARTMENTS. I FIRST MOVED IN, IN JULY OF 2006 AND I REALLY DID LIKE LIVING THERE AT FIRST. I HAD NO COMPLAINTS. THE OFFICE STAFF WAS GREAT AND THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE. EVEN THE WATER AND GAS BILL WAS AFFORDABLE. ONCE THEY CHANGE MANAGMENT, IT ALL WENT DOWN HILL FROM THERE. THE OFFICE MANAGER, ANDY BENEVIDES IS A JERK AND A RUDE ONE AT THAT. THERE WERE BURGLARIES GOING ON IN THE APARTMENTS WAY BEFORE MY BOYFRIEND MOVED IN WITH ME, AND TO BE HONEST, NO ONE KNEW HE WAS LIVING WITH ME FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS BEFORE HE EVEN STARTED GOING WITH ME TO THE OFFICE TO PAY MY RENT. NEXT THING YOU KNOW, THE SECURITY GUARD AND THE OFFICE MANAGER WERE SEARCHING THROUGH MY APARTMENT LATE ONE NIGHT AFTER MY BOYFRIEND AND I CAME IN FROM DINNER AND A MOVIE. TO TOP IT ALL OFF, THEY ATE SOME OF OUR FOOD AND HAD THEIR FEET UP ON MY COFFEE TABLE LIKE THEY WERE INVITED TO BE IN MY HOUSE. THEY ALSO HAD MY BOYFRIEND FALSLY ARRESTED FOR THE BURGLARIES THAT WERE OCCURING YEARS BEFORE HE ACTUALLY MOVED IN WITH ME. THEY ALSO FILED A TRESPASSING REPORT ON HIM. THEN WHEN HE DID GET OUT OF JAIL, HE GOT JUMPED AND ROBBED ON THE PROPERTY AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I HAD TO LEAVE THE PROPERTY ASAP BECAUSE THERE WAS NOTHING THAT THEY CAN DO ABOUT HIM GETTING JUMPED. I STILL CONTINUED TO PAY MY RENT EVEN AFTER ALL OF THIS HAS HAPPEND. MY BOYFRIEND EVENTUALLY MOVED OUT BECAUSE HE THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE GONNA KEEP HARRASSING ME BECAUSE OF HIM. ANDY WOULD COME TO MY DOOR KICKING MY DOOR AND YELLING FOR ME TO OPEN THE DOOR. I WOULD HAVE HARRASSING LETTERS FROM THE OFFICE, AND THEY EVEN CAME AND TOOK MY KEYS FROM ME AND PUT A DEAD BOLT LOCK ON MY DOOR. LUCKILY I WAS GOOD FRIENDS WITH THE MAINTENANCE MAN AND HE GAVE ME A NEW KEY TO MY APARTMENT. THEN IN APRIL OF 2009 I WAS 4 MONTHS PREGNANT AT THE TIME, I WENT TO THE OFFICE TO PAY MY RENT, AND ANDY WOULD NOT ACCEPT MY RENT PAYMENT. I DIDNT KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON, SO I WENT BACK TO MY APARTMENT. I WENT IN THE OFFICE AGAIN THE NEXT DAY, AND HE STILL WOULDNT TAKE MY PAYMENT. I CALLED THE PROPERTY MANAGER TO ADVISE HER OF WHAT WAS GOING ON, AND SHE TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED TO PACK MY THINGS AND VACATE THE PREMISES ASAP. I DIDNT HAVE A PLACE TO GO, OR DIDNT EVEN HAVE ANOTHER APARTMENT LINED UP. I REALLY DONT KNW WHAT HAPPEND OR DIDNT EVEN GET AN EXPLANATION OF WHY I WAS BEING IMPROPERLY EVICTED. I WILL NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE RECOMMEND ANYONE TO LIVE IN THESE APARTMENTS, NOT EVEN IF THEIR DESPERATE, BECAUSE IT GONNA BE ONE HELL OF A NIGHTMARE THAT YOU CANT WAKE UP FROM”

“If you care to step out of your shower at 4:30 in the morning and see a snake coming out of you toilet, well this is the place for you.i have asked several times for my patio to be fixed. the wood is so rotten that it's falling apart.And as for the office staff and manager, well the manager says it's natural for snakes to crawl out of the toilet.And that it was most likely a grass snake.For those of you that do know snakes, correct me if im wrong but arent grass snakes green and not brown?Either way who wants to say good morning to a snake in their toilet.”
