“this is not a good place to live. lazy management”

“My friend Andrea Marquis Lewis was shot and killed in this apartment complex. I was leaving my apartment one morning and i saw a man bleeding on the ground explaining to his friends how someone had invaded his home beat him with guns and robbed him. even worse than that believe it or not, the parking lot SUCKED . my car got bumped every morning. hell whole. DONT MOVE. vacant apartments also some how have people in and out of them. the only good thing is it is close to 59 and 610”

“This property has changed so much. The people in the office are great always with a smile. The manager is always willing to help with any problems that may arise. The maintenance people are very quick. I just love this place.”

“I have been living here for 5 months now and I love it! I seen the reviews on this website about the previous management and I was a little skeptical at first but I stepped out on a limb. I think they are awesome apartments and you get a huge apartment for the price you pay. I have a 2 bd/2 bath and I only pay $650. The property is very clean. They don t play any games when it comes to protecting your property. They change the gate code ever month on the 15th. I would recommend it to anyone it is also in a very good location. It is 5 min away from Meyerland Plaza also it is 2 min away from Wal-Mart and Food Town. The new office management is awesome and very tentative. I would recommend them to anyone!”

“This is the worst place to live at. Ive been here 7mon and things are always broken and having things repaired is like winning the lotto. Good luck. They are constantly fixn up apartments for people to move in and overlook existing tenants. If you wanna come home to fresh smell of weed and men loitering around this is the place for you. I hate this place and wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. They cut the water off at least twice a week and you never know when. The staff is very unprofessional and could care less of any complaint or issue you may have. There really isn't anything positive to living on this property. If you are looking to lease I'd think twice before signing. Parking is a joke and most who live on back property on Wanda are either employees or related so it's a cinco demayo celebration when you're trying to sleep.”

“I have been living at the property for nearly 5 yrs and have seen the ups and downs of this place. I must say the new mgmt has done a nice job getting rid of most of the bad elements and are doing a very nice job bringing this place bad to life. Thanks guys and keep up the good work!”

“I BEEN LIVING HERE 2 YEARS AND SINCE THEY CHANGE MANEGEMENT THE PROPERTY HAS CHANGE BIG TIME . THEY HAD MADE HUGE CHANGES IN THE PROPERTY IS LIKE A COMPLETE NEW APARTMENTS THE STAFF IS NICE AND THEY ALWAYS THERE TO HELP US.THE UNITS IN THE INSIDE LOOK REALLY NICE WITH BLACK APPLIANCES AM REALLY HAPPY HERE I RECOMEND IT BECAUSE THE PRICES ARE THE BEST ONES AROUND THE NEIGHBOORHOOD AND IT LOOKS REALLY NICE AND CLEAN.”

“the staff is just horrible the other 2 are not so bad but this one named carmen is so rude like ----- i know they pay you to do your job not to sit your fat --- in that chair all day! thats why your so ----en fat! b/c all you do is sit do your job for real!”

“This complex if horrible the maintenance is very bad if it weren't for the resigning of the lease I would have moved because they lied and said they were remodeling give us a little time and to find out nothing was remodeled. The location is great but the owners are not even concerned about this complex they just want to get paid. There are two burnt units one near the mailboxes and one near the pool. I mean why own a set of apartments if you don't want to make them presentable to the public. Why the city has not shut them down I have no idea. Great location is the only great thing because they are horrilble. Edgar one of the maintenance men was so over worked and probably underpaid until he quit and Carmen well she is great my hat goes off to her but she needs to leave because she can do better. Now Monica I don't know her very well she is fairly new but she lies alot. Liz whatever........”

“This complex use to be very well kept but now we have had atleast 4-5 different managers and the staff is rude at times. Nothing get repaired because there is only one reliable maintenance man. The --------- play their music real loud like they are in a club or something. The inside really needs work the kitchens are horrible can we say remodeling..... pinnacle pls don't let judwin beat u which they already have. The bathrms also need remodeling and the upkeep of the yard is getting bad again. One time I think someone from the office family member was cutting the yard with a riding lawnmower. Ridiculous I say. Then the paint oh my god can it get any worse someone pls tell me y -------- love bright colors????All in all the property is run down and they have the nerve to have a courtesy officer that is a joke. Don't rent here is any and all possible look further..........”

“I just sighned a new lease with this people!!!! When I move in the apartment I have no hot water. I call And call. So after a month at these apartments the say they are going to transfer me. Now its three weeks later and im still waiting for this apartment. All they say is the next day . Day after day.Man these are some stupid --- people. I think i may have to break my lease because these people are verrryyyyyy stu.”

“This complex has went down so much from the time i first moved here yes it is horrible.....”

“This place is horrible rent at your own risk. A male was gun down last April 29, 2009. These people will lease to anyone who are killer, rapist, robers and will lie about you to cover up these crimes. These employees are all in gangs and lease to their criminal friends and family. Stay away like I said and lease where you will be safe. When the person was murdered they refused to return the depoist. The grandmother tried to get them to break the lease but they refused and threaten the young male who is now decease that they would turn him into the credit bureau and make him pay rent until the apartment would be lease. This was in April 14, 2009 and he was killed on April 29, 2009 about 6:30 PM on the Wanda Lane parking lot and and many people saw this criminal act being comitted by this killer. The killer was arrested and is now serving 30 years in TDCJ for murdered of this young deceased male. It is so sad because this killer did not know this deceased person he killed and the killer shot execution style over 7 times and several of these Tech Nine shots were to his head, and as the victim laid dying he stump all about his body..”

“I currently live here and all that is said has turned out too be true ,they dont repair anything the staff disrepects tenents..And they do harrass you ,steal out of ur apt when u leave...In fact i was told not leave anything important lying around when i moved in...”

“I have lived here not quite 4 months and I am breaking my lease. Nothing gets repaired, the management staff is rude, uneducated and nasty. You cant have a conversation with the office personnel with being addressed as 'honey', 'sweetie', or 'babe'. Nothing ever gets repaired and they have began to vandalize my car! Paint was thrown on it, rice and they attempted to have it towed over the weekend! I caught the tow-truck driver and told him if he touched my car he would be in jail. Seems someone in the office had informed him that my car had not moved in 10 days! That's a lie! My car runs just fine, my register is up to date, as is my inspection. This is just harrassment and the owner needs to know about all this. I plan to let him know, but he will not like my methods. I have documented everything this has gone wrong and is still wrong. He will pay me!”

“I am new to the Houston area and rented an apartment in St James Place before I found this site. The management staff are liars and attempt to treat you like you are running from the law or have no legal right to be here. I had to cuss out Mary Ann in the office for insulting me and acting like I can't read English! Nothing works in my apartment and I WILL be breaking my lease. New drug dealers have moved in next door to me and mangement's response is so long as they pay their rent on time! This place is disgusting and the staff is so lazy. I truly regret moving into this drug den!!!”

“THESE APTS NEED NEW APPLIANCES AND NEW MANAGEMENT BECAUSE THE PEOPLE IN THE OFFICE DO NOT KNOW HOW TO ADDRESS THEIR RESIDENTS I MEAN I PAY THEM THEY DON'T PAY ME TO STAY HERE BECAUSE IF THEY DID THEY WOULD BE BROKE. I WORK IN PUBLIC COMMUNICATION SO I KNOW WHAT IT IS TO TALK WITH THE PUBLIC AND LISTEN TO THEIR CONCERNS. PEOPLE HAVE CARS PARKED THAT DO NOT EVEN WORK THAT NEED TO BE MOVED OUT OF THE WAY. WE NEED ASSIGNED PARKING BECAUSE EVERYONE THINKS THEY SHOULD BE CLOSE AND THEY HAVE ABOUT 4-5 CARS TO ONE HOUSE I MEAN IT IS JUST NOT FAIR. ASSIGNED PARKING WOULD HELP SO MUCH BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE SO INCONSIDERATE OVER HERE AS TO LOCATION OF YOUR PLACE AND HOW CLOSE U R TO UR DOOR.”

“These people are crooked. They have had multiple fires within the last month. The complex is very unsafe. Out of the 4 people in the office not a one live on the property so you know something is not right.You hear gunshots all night. Neighbors apartments gets broken in only to find out by the neighbor. They will not send out notifications to warn us. This is a horrible complex I will be moving before the month is out.”

“My family moved into these apartment earlier this year. When they arrived to pick up the keys, no one knew what was going on because of the placment of one of the leasing agents. The apartment kitchen had not been cleaned nor the restrooms. They say they would hurry and clean it. I returned and all she had in her hand was a broom. When we entered the apartment, the carpet was the only thing that was good. There were roaches coming out of the facets in the bathroom. When asked if they could get the apartment exterminated their comment was " They don't have a exterminator contract" I didn't notice the collaspe roof on the other side of the complex. All the reviews are correct that are listed. So if you can STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

“I am a home owner in the subdivision immediately to the north of the St. James Place Apartments, and this apartment complex has become a scourge on our community. We have gone to the City of Houston with our concerns and the matter is currently being handled by the Neighborhood Protection Commission and the City's Legal Department. If you are a potential tenant, I strongly recommend passing on the St. James Place Apartments. There are much better apartments just the other side of Fondren. Go anywhere but here! That is why this place is a horrible place to live. All they want is the rent money and the hell with fixing the place up. So WATCH OUT”

“I am currently a resident at this apartment complex.I have refused to sign another lease,so I am currently in the process of moving. So this is a full warning to any and everybody,who may consider leasing an apartment here.To the residents who reside here,get everything in writing,including request for repairs! To put it simple, don't stop here you can find better and more suitable housing elsewhere.Drug activity,vandalism, robberies.Police department will not respond if you call for help,unless they feel it is a life or death situation.Terrible management staff and maintenance.Exercise an option,don't rent here please.”

“Over 4 weeks ago I reported I that my roof leaks everytime it rains.As of today 8/17/2008 the leaking roof has NOT been repaired!!!!I called the Leasing office and no one seems to know if the first request has been placed in their system and if a bid by a roofing has been approved by the Supervisor!My goodness I assumed that all Apartment complexes utlized some sort of software that tracked work order request placed by tennants!!!In addition the former Manager no longer is employed and there is none at this time. I can say when I spoke to the Leasing staff they were more professional,polite,and informative.However Im livid that my roofing issue has not been repaired.A roofer could have BUILT a NEW roof in 4 weeks!!!”
